Can you make a tutorial on how to manipulate both body and face tool simultaneously as both are integral part of animation. I faced some problem whenever I tried to activate CC face tool after CC body tool in CC4 characters. BTW your all topics are superb.
Hey man really appreciate your content. I am kinda new to unreal and 3D stuff and I am trying to replicate the look from a video called I am a monster motya games TV, but I'm kinda confused about whether it's a post process effect or it's the lighting or it's the material as everything in that video looks shiny and yet the environment seems dark. I hope I was able to convey my doubts. Please let me know if you can assist me with that 🙏
It's a combination of all three - lighting, materials, and post-processing.
@civareducation can you please elaborate on the things that needs to be done in post process and material, like a summerize overview if possible? So that I can play with those settings. Thank you for responding
Great and very helpful tutor, thanx! Though I have a question here. I Have already tried to make (and getting closer to the sub I HAVE MADE it) something very similar and investigated the Lightning and Thunder issues inside UDS within mine recent ad project. I had to make a stormy and windy scene of a dramatic night in the forest lake. I have succeeded to find really nice settings to use and got a rather good consistent result. BUT! Everything that happens in the sequence is still RANDOMIZED. You do have a great lightning effect, you do have some cool atmosphere and weather. BUT! You can't really DIRECT it. You can't let's say - force the lightning to strike a bolt exactly in the area you need to or (what is even more important) at the TIME you need to. OR? Have you managed to take all this power under full control? THAT will be a real treasure if positive. Please, answer.
It's still randomized, but you can try adjusting the timing and frequency of the lightning for some control. However if you want full control, you may need to use Niagara or VDB
I dont have smart reduce option.
It's been added in 5.5 version
Nice video. You might consider checking also „warmup frames” and setting them to 32. It gives additional jump start frames for the engine and can fix those first couple frames bugging out. Cheers
Good call!
how you add ultra dynamic sky in top panel?
It's an update thing
Thank you for this tutorial sir, but I want to know if the same technique can work with non-emissive materials? Because sometimes I want to make symbols appear on objects or characters like tattoos
You can use the same principle but you'll need to play with the opacity values instead of the emissive intensity.
@civareducation oh with the opacity ? i will try that thanks 🤗
How did I know about this!?!?!? THANK YOU!!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you bro!
You're welcome! 💪
Hello there! I have a character (brought over from CC4) that I have dressed out in armor (In UE5). I finished creating him (Getting the armor lined up), but now I need to package it up to use in other levels. When I try to pack that actor I get a bunch of errors. Basically all of the static meshes (Armor Pieces) get put into the blueprint, but the character doesn't. I added the character after the fact and could reattach each piece individually, but I'm essentially redoing the whole thing at that point. Lots of parts. Is there an easier way to get this done? When I attach one of the pieces to a socket in the blueprint, it is changing its position. I tried swapping between local and world positions and restoring it to 0,0,0 after attaching. No luck. Any help here would be greatly appreciate.
Try to add your cloth in CC4 or blender then bring it to UE. If it didn't worked let me know to find another way.
thats one of the best tuts i ve watched lately, thanks a lot
Appreciate the kind words!
how do you make the ultra dynamic sky so dark? when i try to make it pitch black its mainly gray and still bright
The Night Brightness setting. You can also set Extra Night Brightness When Cloudy to 0.
if you could show your screencast keys that would be great. for example when you added a key frame for multiple objects at 2.00 ...
Brilliant, thankyou.
Hi friend good tutors) please show Dismemberment (ENGORE) animation in sequencer for cinematic, I need to cut off the head of the character, I can't do it in the sequencer, if you have time, please show me, thank you
Sorry I didn't follow you, could you explain a bit more?
there is an ENGORE plugin, write on UA-cam and it will come out, I have an animation in the sequencer of a bad guy cutting off the head of a king, an ENGORE game plugin that chops off body parts, now I want to use this plugin in my animation in a sequencer, cutting off the head of a king, is it possible to use this game plugin in my animation?
I haven't used that plugin. I'll check and will let you know.
Ok thank you very much🙏😇👍🇰🇿
Your tutorials are always to the point !, well done !!!. Also I like your choices of all your video contents. Thank you so much, and keep up the good work !
Thanks, I try to keep things concise and useful!
Easier way: on the asset right click -> show references. Double click one of the materials and check it's folder structure on the top. Rename the folder structure in explorer accordingly and re-import.
Great approach! Thanks for the idea!
Yeah, no thanks. I've tried this approach and it's never been practical... Maybe it's helpful to others. There's a camera shake modifier, BTW. Digging for likes.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try to incorporate that in future videos.
Hi.thank you for helpful teach.please teach about glossiness assets materials.mirrors.mersi❤
I'll try to get a video about that out soon!
It's insane that simple relative paths handling that was fully solved in programs decades ago is such a painful struggle for Unreal. Why would a texture sitting in the same folder as model have metadata of full folder structure to address that model? Full path is the program's job, not the asset's. Someone made some ridiculous choices at the design level of the whole system. I wonder how some veteran programmers feel about these absurdities at Epic, having to deal with this BS. I mean Unreal can't even simply delete a folder with multiple subfolders with some assets inside without throwing a fit. This is almost as ridiculous as the fact that the same company that can render a billion of triangles in 16 milliseconds takes 2 seconds to switch a tab in the 2D UI of EGS client.
Yeah! Hopefully, Epic will streamline these systems in the future!
Sooooo helpful! Thank you! Another big issue I'm seeing is how all my Surfaces materials downloaded from Megascans are broken as well in UE 5.5.1, which is a real pain.
That's a common issue, I'll try to make a video on that soon!
I was looking for a solution to this problem two days ago, but I still haven't found it. Your video is the only one that helped. Thank you very much)
Glad I could help
This was a Very creative and useful lesson. The technique is solid but your example is super practical and well, fun. Appreciate your efforts and knowledge. 👍
Always trying to make things fun and practical!
if you copy paste pack folders like that, proper transfer of asset redirectors and other mapping info between versions of ue or the same, doesnt get transfered If you migrated it, or added to project directly from fab or epic launcher library, this can be avoided. But an excellent tip none the less. 👍
Thanks for sharing, I'll make sure to mention that in future videos.
You say in the video that ProRes 422HQ is 12bit, but in reality it’s 10bit just like ProRes422, HQ simply has a higher bitrate. 4444 and XQ are 12bit (or rather, they can be either 10 or 12, but are usually 12).
You're absolutely right ProRes 422HQ is 10-bit with a higher bitrate. Thanks for pointing that out!
nice tip! Didn't know about the templates.
Happy to help!
🥰
Useful for me 😊❤
Glad you found it helpful! 💪
Awesome!
Thanks!
Nice❤❤❤
Thanks! 🙏
what's your cinecamera setting ?
I don't remember but seems like a 70mm DSLR!
Thx
Entered!
thanks bro , what are the world setting, like any lense glare, or any golour grading you apply in the secene , so that the look perfert or you do all post
There are bunch of settings and can't explain all of them here
@civareducation you can make a series where you take one by one, as I have tried a lot but can't get that cinematic look
Gpu crashed , how to solve this problem brother 😭, .... I need your help,...
You need to optimize your project, otherwise you'll face with that quite often
great tutorial sir, But I heard that with the console variable especially r.screenpercentage at 150% and other parameters made the quality even better, why don't you use a console variable in your rendering parameters?
Console variables can indeed enhance quality, but they often come with a significant performance cost. My render settings aim for a balance between quality and efficiency, especially for larger scenes.
Is there a significant quality difference between exporting in EXR and Apple ProRes? Since EXR is an image sequence, it seems like there are more details to manage during post-production.
Yes there is! EXR contains more data rather than other formats as you know but sometimes we need to make a balance between the file size, format, and quality but in terms of quality, the best is govwith EXR
@@civareducation I’m learning so much, thanks to you!
Glad to hear!
@@civareducation When rendering scenes with MetaHuman, I noticed that in the exported video, the focus appears unnatural, especially around the edges where the MetaHuman's hair meets the background. This issue is particularly noticeable even though the focus was set on the MetaHuman's eyes during rendering. Could you provide a solution to address this?🥲🥲
explanation 100% showcasing 0%
How to make greate cloth simulation in unreal please ?
There is nyhing better than marvelous designer! I will go with a video for that ASAP!
I can never understand why these ppl just don't share their pc specs when they talk about their experience with render settings. That's just silly. How hard is it to add just three lines of cpu, ram, gpu under description?
Cpu: core i7 13700k Ram: 64gb GPU: RTX 4090 You're welcome😄👍🏻
He has no duty to say those three lines to you🙄🙄
Those trees looks pretty good, where are they from? Also, great video man. Lots of gems in here.
Thanks, I think the trees are from "Beech Forest Ecosystem"
wow..
Thanks!
May I ask, is there a way to render out AOV’s from UE5 ( without buying a tool) and composite the AOV’s in DaVinci Resolve?
Not sure!
can you give me the name of the tool to render out AOV’s from UE5 so that I can buy it?
@@thewayne9747 The MRQ has options for rendering out Reflections, Roughness, Lighting, Z Depth, AO, Motion Vectors and Cryptomattes. Can't do everything ya can in other DCC, but it's all right. I'd recommend outputting them to a multilayer EXR, either PIZ or ZIP and you can then composite in Resolve using Fusion to separate the layers.
@@TheSquiggleCat yes i know the MRQ but i don't find good tutorial for render with it
how did you do the animations for this sequence please ?
Motion capture with revisions...
I have almost identical render setting except I use AgX OCIO color output with Punchy (no color grading required in DR) and use ProRes in 4444 HQ mode + aa- in TAA. But now I will test your setting as I know standard color correction in Davinci.
Thanks for sharing your setup, I'll try it out!
@@civareducation I tested out your setting but I think AgX giving me Higher Color Gamut for highlighted and overexpose area to control. Otherwise you could use exr with DAAA compression and make necessary change in project settings of DR like set color mangement lut into linear to sRGB as whatever color gamut you use exr always gives you linear output.
Thanks! I'll consider your feedback!
Opened up new possibilities! Thanks a lot
Glad you found it helpful!
More than awesome soltaaaan!❤
Thanks bro!👊🏻
good, but i don't know if there is a way to make a rig inside UE for this arms and joints
Check for Modular Rig in UE 5.5
Good Work 👍, Could you please tell ne how did uou create the blueprint of light that is flickering
It's a bit complicated to explain it here!
@civareducation When the video is coming than 😅
