Excellent commentary and has educated me as to what happens and what needs to happen regarding the cooling system and expansion tank.
My pleasure.
great video.... does Heat control valve also responsible for cold air? ...from SOUTH AFRICA
No, it only controls the hot coolant going through the heater core.
Works for BMW 2013 3 Series. You're literally a god
Happy to hear that it worked for you.
Did You solve the problem with temperature diffrence in vents?
Yes. The refrigerant was low.
@@JRsGarage Thank You very much for answer🤠🥰. Greetings!
Bouta dig in 2 this lil biddy!! On the finest fri the day !! Hot as f!!
The fuck is cabin air filter $128, it's literally 3 tabs to push on a Sportwagen...
Highway robbery.
Your also supposed to keep the transmission temp between 35 and 45 Celsius using a code reader with live data. If you get transmission too hot the fluid would expand to much and your fluid will actually be low. Good job otherwise. Being low is just as bad as being too full.
Learn from his mistakes. I had excess adhesive from old one, used goo gone to get rid of it. Plastic razor blade was clutch to have as well. Lay it in the sn for sure. Super easy.
Thanks for the comment.
Doubtful that stainless steel was the right choice. If you don't use anti sieze it's possible that you never got it tight. It could have just galled. Check out AVE's video on galling.
the metal clips just push down for quick release no need to pry them outwards
It's a brilliant video ! Thank you ! This gives me confidence to have a go and tune my carbs !

Following this fix, did jr confirm whether it fixed his issue? 0:02
I haven’t had the leak return since but I also take the time to clean out the drains once a year.
@@JRsGarage thanks for confirming, really appreciate it. What do you use to clean the drains?
@shamm6880 water. Watch under the car and ensure it flows freely out the bottom drains.
Hello. Can someone please confirm if the VQ25DE uses the same size rocker valve covers? Thank you.
I doubt it. Put your year make and model into rockauto.com and it should show you the compatible valve covers.
@JRsGarage Thank you very much.
How did that Dorman pump work? I’m Hearing a lot of bad things about it
It’s been working without any problems.
@@JRsGarage I have a 09 bmw x5 30i and just bought the Dorman 599 961 water pump from rockauto didn’t have much to choose from because my car is the adaptive climate 4zone when I open the the lil rubber things that cover the holes I seen lil bit coolant seems like someone returned it idk if I should worry about it
@ThePlayerlane might want to call Rock Auto and complain you got a used one.

@ThePlayerlane yea, you have to do it via email.
Thanks! It worked after restarting the phone

From Lebanon, thank you very much. I followed your steps and the antenna was repaired. Thank you very much
I’m very happy it worked for you.
I just did it as shown in video. The hardest part for me was twisting the mirror back on. The great news is IT WORKED! Mine had no discoloring or dirt but I wiped the antenna and parts with an alcohol wipe (for lenses). Very happy and thankful for this video.
Awesome, happy to help.
I will be trying this asap on my 2011 E93. After watching this video I put my fob against the windshield on the rear view mirror area and touched the door handle. It locked and unlocked with each touch. I have a feeling following this video will solve my problem.
I hope it works for you.
Thanks!
My pleasure.
Great video👍sir, how can we contact you🤩🤩
If you have questions you can post them here and I will respond.
Gotta do this soon on mine 😓
It takes some time, but it’s not that difficult.
Advice from someone who just did this maintenance! The drain pan bolt closest to the center front of the car is a thru hole so the steel screw can become fused to the aluminium housing making it very difficult to remove. Make sure you apply lots of penetrating lubricant to the TOP side of the hole where the threads are days or hours before you do this job. I was not lucky and the bolt head snapped off, then when I was trying to remove the rest of the bolt the rest of it broke off so I had to drill it out. Thankfully its a thru hole so I was able to put a nut on the backside becuase the threads were destroyed trying to remove the bolt. If you 're going to do this maintenance just flush all the fluid (buy 6qts) , no sense only doing 3 qts if you've got it set up. To clarify to the video, the car needs to be as close to perfectly level as possible, front to back and side to side. You should be flushing the fluid while the car is running and reinstalling the drain bolt WHILE the car is running. if you shut the car off without the drain bolt in place a bunch of fluid drains out and you don't want that. I was nervous about crawling under a running car but that just what has to be done, stay safe. The drain bolt washer has an up-side and a down side, the slooth side without the ridge makes contant with the drain pan. The car shifts way better than before and the fluid that came out was dark black so it was worth it.
Thanks for all the information and tips.
Hi I was watching this video, My horn goes too. I have not check the fuse yet and if the fuse is good I have to access like the way you show on this video. Mind is 2014 534xi M sport. Since my f32 just like your with an oil cooler and is there enough room to the back and take the horn out ?
There was enough room on my 3 series.
Very interesting do we need to change that charcal after some years ? And that dust filter ? :)
You can’t really clean out the canister so once it fails (no longer allows air through freely) then it needs to be replaced. The dust filter can be cleaned off. Neither are part of the normal service schedule.
Great job, preparing to do it outside as i don't have car garage.
Thanks, good luck.
I bought an auc sensor off eBay for like $30 cause I didn’t see it on fcpeuro and I’m like if it doesn’t work oh well. It finally arrived today after a month maybe (china) the part was a bit different but connection was the same and my code is gone! Just two more codes to fix. I had 2aaf which I still do. I replaced the pressure switch thing but I still have the code sadly
Glad to hear you got the AUC sensor fixed. Good luck on the other 2 codes.
I'm not sure why the volume doesn't work on the pioneer double din everything else works on my 04 G35??
This may help. a.co/d/3YmcL68
videos like this are why I love youtube. My 17 AT had a puddle on the trunk cover after a storm today. I'll have to check it out this weekend and your video will be my reference. Thank you!

Mine too...these days been raining in Texas like crazy... I'm working on that now.
Good luck
The same on my 16 AT, the trunk full of water :( . I have seen the hole that is behind the rear bumper was stuck, this hole drains the water....have you find something wrong of your AT?
No, so far the transmission is working well.
I being struggling with VALVE FUEL TANK VENT, i did a bunch of things like smoke test it came out good,no leaks i change the EVAP part that goes in the engine area(2times) and i still cant figure out what’s causing that code.
Have you tried replacing the DMTL pump attached to the charcoal canister? I’d try that next.
@@JRsGarage I changed both of them, still can figure out whats causing that problem, because of that my engine goes in to limp mode.
Someone commented one time to unplug the purge valve and idle for 10 mins then reconnect, clear the code and drive it around for 10 miles. Not sure how that might help but worth a shot. Are you sure the limp mode is due to the vent valve? Never heard of it causing that.
@@JRsGarage yea, its my everyday car so i can feel it when it goes in to limp mode, after that i get the code 2A1A-Fuel tank ventilation system.
Ok, so it’s something wrong with the entire system. Could be your gas cap. You said you tried smoke testing so you have the equipment. Try disconnecting the lines connected to the evap canister and smoke test them to see if there are any leaks.
Thanks❤ it works🎉
Happy to hear.
I own a 2013 328I hardtop I have the same issue with latch very good information

hola, algun cambio en los LTFT?
I haven’t checked the fuel trim after performing this fix. The CEL has not returned so know the fuel trim has remained within limits.

Does it work on bmw e93 2009 ?
Perhaps. Please let us know if it works for you.
En iphone como puedes hacerlo ?
I do not know if it is possible for the iPhone. Apple may not allow the changes to the Bluetooth settings. I am not familiar with iPhones.
A okay, gracias disculpa sabes si hay forma de actualizar el apartado donde dice servios BMW a connected drive ?
Hi JR Thanks for making these MGC videos, as you already mentioned, these engine restraints were an original part fitted to our cars, however over the years they get removed and left off. As you said their sole purpose is to stop the very heavy engine/gearbox from sliding forward in the event of a sudden stop/accident. I also purchased mine from Simon at Colne Classics in the UK, one of our top specialists on MGCs.
My pleasure. For a couple years I didn’t even know they were supposed to be there.

@@JRsGarageHow long did it take you to install?

Do you need to bleed the coolant system after replacing the valve?
I lost very little coolant so I just drove the car and checked the reservoir and topped it up over the next few days. If you lose a lot of coolant you will need to bleed the air out.
I’ve had fuel dump into my canister 3 times now …. Any ideas?
Is there any pattern to when it happens? Perhaps a blockage somewhere causing the fuel itself to leak into the canister instead of just the fuel vapors. Or topping up the fuel past the pumps automatic shutoff?
eveytime its happened ive been at the pump and its cut me off half way.. this last time i had gas pouring out from under the car at the pump... i had my canister plus the dmtl pump replaced last year(for the 2nd time) and it just happened to me again about 2 weeks ago. im using a stage 3 precision autowerks fuel pump which might be the cause of all this but i dont see how. i might just go back to stock pump to test it out but im just so lost at this point haha@@JRsGarage
a shop also ran a smoke test on the evap line and said it was clear so i dont whats going on@@JRsGarage
Wha if im not planning to use the bose system can i still use this and then connect the amp with the stereos RCA?'
If by Bose system you just mean the head unit then yes, that’s exactly what this is meant for. If you mean both the Bose head unit and amp and you plan to use an aftermarket amp then you’d need additional wiring to splice it together.
