Hey 👋🏼! I got my notebook from Homesense I believe. I stopped posting mainly because I stopped homeschooling and work picked up😕. I’ve thought about coming back and doing videos about home learning but not sure. I’m glad you enjoy my videos ☺️

Hey mama! Thank you so much ☺️. Sadly, I had to stop homeschooling because of work 😕. While I don’t plan for homeschooling anymore, I am actually teaching. I’m finding that the most important thing to do first is setting learning goals which could be skill based or gaining understanding of a topic or concept. Planning around that first will guide what resources and materials to use each week. I hope that helps!

Thank you, and great question! I used these activities as independent work/exploration throughout the day. They helped my daughter practice the concepts she was learning in a hands-on way. But, I didn't necessarily have her do them before or after a worksheet. Does that make sense?

How old is your child? If they’ve mastered that, they would probably breeze through those parts for KA/KB. These books also cover telling time, money, adding with 10s and other concepts so it might be worth checking out.

I'm helping my son with 3-letter CVC words right now, and what seems to help is using a few consonant and vowel combinations at a time with the same endings. So when we do the "-at" ending, he sounds it out so he knows what it is, then we add another beginning sound so he can make a new word like "b-at" or "c-at". Alphabet cards help A TON with this!

I used them all of 2 sec when I first tried the curriculum 😬. The teachers guys have been updated so that it says one for homeschoolers specifically so I think those will be a lot more helpful now than what I was working with before.

Logic of English has been our main curriculum for LA. In addition, doing lots of read alouds with both picture and chapter books and exploring them beyond comprehension was pivotal for creating a well-rounded LA study for us.

Hi Cathy! Manipulatives are totally optional, definitely not required! And yes, I would say the textbook is enough for teaching the lesson. Looking back, I probably would have used the textbook and then found some accompanying worksheets from TPT to supplement had I not had the workbook too. Which level are you looking into?

@@mama-yael We decided on primary mathematics us edition 1A-B for my 5 year old and the 2022 version 3A for my soon to be 8 year old.

@@mama-yael I just got Dimensions for PK (so we're just getting started), thinking it's more mastery like Singapore instead of spiral (like Saxon). But let's see, maybe it's a happy accident.

Hi Alicia! Great questions. So the textbook is the main book for the curriculum and introduces each topic to the child. The workbook is supplementary and gives opportunities for extra practice. I used the workbook pages as independent work for my kids. If you purchased the textbook, that would suffice but the workbook alone might be harder to work from without the textbook. I hope this helps!

Just wondering where you purchased those from? I think I saw them in your Kindergarten vid too.

Hi Dana! On our Amazon fire tablets, we ABC mouse, Khan Academy Kids (free!), HOMER, and PBS kids games. On the iPad, we just use Reading Eggs. I hope this helps! Happy homeschooling 😊!
