LA all day. I bought a house in Houston (Katy) and me and my family lived in the area for 7 months and hated the people and weather. We spent one day in LA suburbs and loved it... everyone was hella cool. Now we're trying to sell our Texas house to move out west. The weather, the nice people... even the gangstas gave us directions to the best taqueria in the area and dabbed us up. If you can afford 600k to buy a 3 bedroom house in a decent neighborhood, make the move to the best coast, west coast.

There's an extreme jealousy problem in Houston towards California. Very jealous of L.A. to be exact. I've had the worse experiences of my life here in Houston, all because I'm from California. They are so obsessed with California, that word about me spread all over town like wildfire. Because of that, all my neighbors hate me. They find every opportunity they get to say "F*** Cali!" and "F*** L.A.!" and even "F*** Long Beach!" Because their obsessed selves found out I'm from Long Beach. Everyone from young teenagers, to peers, to grown people, even the children all say those words. They have absolutely no shame at all in the way their envy makes them act. They take pride in it instead. Even at work they act the exact same way, that I'm surprised I don't quit after endless and endless abuse. It took me forever to even find a job because I always have my application ignored due to my California ID. What's more sad is, apparently, even the children are jealous towards Californians. The fact that the children are jealous of California is absolutely ridiculous!! I don't think it's just the parents teaching their kids to be full of envious hate. I actually think they are born that way. Almost hereditary, if you will. Because they act the exact same way as the parents and adults and everyone else. I guess that's why they call these people a whole "different breed" Not even trying to be funny there. All day and all night, with no sleep, they tease me from outside my apartment. I attempted suicide drinking bleach one morning because I could not stand it anymore. It sounds unbelievable, but it's true. But after years, I've learned to become stronger and cope with it all even if it still gets annoying and frustrating. Because I'm alone, they think nobody will ever know. Always preying on my downfall. The fucked up shit that they wish upon people from California, such as myself, you would not believe! They even admitted to me what they do to me is because I'm from California. Again, with no shame at all. Just to mock me. Because I am alone, with no friends or family here. But God has seen everything and is watching everything. They have angered God for what they have done (trust me, it gets worse, nobody is ready to find out what they have done, but CPS would have to get involved, THAT bad). They have angered God to the point that he feels how he felt against Sodom. And everyone knows how that went down. They WILL answer and pay. Until the time being, I must hang in there and stay strong.

They both suck. Both are soulless and bland. No real natural beauty. ALL the "lakes" are manmade/artificial. Not much classic architecture. No real historical significance. Dallas has JFK, that's it. The Houston train station is absolutely PATHETIC. The both are poster examples of suburban sprawl. Dallas is better than Houston.

This is my current situation! I’ve been wanting to live in LA since I was 7… the whole draw of me wanting to be an actor, the lifestyle of the stuff I’ve seen on tv, the palm trees 🌴, the weather, the diversity, the landscape and natural beauty and so much more. Visited several times and although I want to live there still I feel priced out! Houston always seemed like a boring city to me until I actually visited. Twice in as many months then found out I had family there. The economy is much more affordable but it is flat. Cheaper flights to everywhere because it’s right in the middle of the country. Houston will probably be my next choice but LA always had my heart. If I could afford it and not struggle LA would definitely be it! Everyone says move to Katy, Cypress and Spring but I prefer it closer to the water near Clear Lake. I’m considering Webster and League City!

Houston more diverse it's more to do in Houston the food is better in Houston and the Women are absolutely gorgeous. So I'm picking Houston

I live in the outskirts of Houston across the Fred Hartman bridge. But I'm looking to move to San Antonio. Traffic here In Houston is terrible, everyone is moving here, the crime is going up. There are homeless people everywhere in the city. It looks like the next liberal hell hole. One big plus is the job opportunities, you can literally quit and get a new job every week if you wanted to. So I gotta give them that. Other than that I'm looking forward to see what San Antonio has to offer. And as for diversity I'm fine being around Latinos and whites only since I'm Latino and don't really care for diversity if I'm being honest. As long as I'm around honest hard-working people and not people wanting to start shit for the dumbest things...I'm cool.

Texas is my favorite state, and the gulf coast has a special place in my heart:) A couple of 'must visits' also are the Galveston Ferry to the Bolivar peninsula and Katie's seafood market at the Galveston port. I am an African American originally from Southeast Georgia near Savannah married to a Peruvian woman. We live in San Antonio which is a good place to raise a family but the diversity here is a problem for me. We agreed to move to Dallas because the traffic, flooding, and hurricanes turned my wife off plus have family that has moved to Dallas within the last 5 years. Fresco is a beautiful area but the only problem is the cost of living is cheaper in San Antonio and Dallas is more expensive than Houston. I have two homes in San Antonio with a 2.49% interest rate and the way rates are now, I do not see a move anywhere anytime soon.

Also locaal streets goes many miles long Like bisdonnet st Hillcroft st Kirkwood st Many other goesany Mike's long So no need to drive highways like 10. 58 or 59 etc You be happy in hiusyon if you do doordash. Rents are low Food is cheap Great weather Lots of swimming pools Lots of pretty girls available v lonely girls And guys also

Lived in SA my whole life, and still do. San Antonio is definitely more family friendly. I'd only choose Houston for food spots and atmosphere. Wish Houston was as close as Austin😭

“Million dollar homes just aren’t what the average person can buy” I think that sums it up. If you’re OK with being average live in Houston, if you’re trying to be exceptional your going to have to put up with LA prices and make it happen.
