    Watching to see if you had any issues with water leakage, I know they cannot be 100% waterproof. I received my LimitedHD last Friday and installed Sunday. For those watching the video there are differences in installation from make and year of the vehicle. Mine is a 2017 Silverado, 6' 6" bed, install took about 4 hours. My ramps, bed clamps and locking mech are different than this install. As for dryness, we had a decent shower over Sunday night and along every section of the cover it did leak, not soaked but enough I cannot put anything in the back I don't want to get wet. Now, Paragon did say give it 24-48 hours with the cover closed and let the seals relax, so we'll see how it goes next time it rains. Wish the HD version had the locking rods as mine has gas shocks (like what you have on your back windows of an SUV) to lift the front 2 sections so you can lock it. When you open with the gas struts you physically have to push down between the front two sections to start the opening process, my wife with have problems with this as she cannot reach the center of the bed standing on the ground. Guess time will tell how this works as it loosens up and settles in. I do like the overall quality of the cover, locks, very secure, looks great.

    Does the lift, plus the beefier tires throw off your speedometer some? If so, how much off is it?

    • @GreenMountainProjects
      @GreenMountainProjects Місяць тому

      @@solache281 all depends on the tire diameter. Lift and tire width won’t do anything to affect that. For example a 35” tire will have you off roughly 3-3.5 MPH faster when your speedometer is saying 65mpg. The faster you go the more it varies from the actual. The bigger the tire the more it will be off. Go to tire size.com and use their calculator and it gives you the ability to compare the stock size vs new size and shows the speed change you will see.

      The Peragon cover will support up to 50 pounds of concentrated weight like a cooler or tool box. It is engineered to support up to 300 pounds of evenly distributed weight like snow. When driving, there shouldn’t be any weight on the cover. Our solid aluminum design offers robust protection for your cargo. However, it is not designed to walk on or to haul cargo on. Just give them a double check. When you drive on it the suspension settles back down and can expose these being a little looser. As far as torque specs I don’t remember off the top of my head but the caliper bolts should be fine around 60ft-lbs. I think I set the sway bars at about 80ft-lbs.

    Thanks, friend. I decided to retire my ancient Lincoln welder and upgrade - but the Yeswelder manual leaves a lot to be desired. Your explanation is clear and concise. I'm up and running.

    I appreciate individuals like yourself for vids like this. They save us a lot of money and builds confidence with taking on tough tasks… I noticed you, unlike most, are providing torque specs. I was wondering how valid are these specifications… in other words, i want to know if i can rely on everything staying put during travel 😂 if I copy and paste your Torque specs if/when executing this project.

      I appreciate it! As far at the specs they are what I find for manufacturers recommendations. I always go a bit higher +5ftlbs to play it safe.

    Nice video brother. I just picked one of these up and that was good information. The rig used many years ago was much different than this little thing. I’m surprised how well it works. Thanks again.
