The Hidden Outdoors
Приєднався 17 лют 2022
I created this channel to provide honest reviews of products, new gear, and gear hacks. After spending endless hours researching products searching for the perfect gear to fit my needs. I realized it's hard to find the perfect product. Everyone's needs or what they want is different. My goal is to outline the pros and cons of each piece of gear so you can decide what will work best for you and save you time researching products. I'll also share my outdoor adventures, lessons learned, hunts, and things I'll do to become a better outdoorsman. I Appreciate you checking out my channel and hope you'll subscribe to help my channel grow. As it grows, I'll be able to provide better reviews and help more people. Thanks for watching and stay hidden!

On Mathews bows and bows in general I think the grip gets over looked. I highly recommend trying different grips to see what is the most comfortable and repeatable.

Carbon SS Climbing Sticks Review| How to make them better!
I think Its for me
Got mine Friday. It is awesome. Weighed 11.4 oz with dovetail not using the mounting block. Only 1.4 oz heavier than my CBE trek pro
Need a suggestion, my sight is all the way to the top. My top pin is at 20 I can’t adjust it any further to get my middle pin to 20, what do I do? I can’t select a sight tape or an indicator tape. Please help
@@ColtenHouston can you adjust the height of where it mounts to your bow?
No, that was the first thing I tried, can I change the front of the mount? I see screw holes but I don’t want to mess anything up. Instead of it being a L shape it would make it more of a T shape
@@ColtenHouston you can remove the two screws that attach the yaw block into the rack and move the rack up. That should allow you to sight your middle pin in at 20 yards.
Hey what length stabilizer are you using?
I’m using a 12 inch front bar with a 8 inch side bar.
Excellent info on your video. Thanks.
Thank you for the positive feedback. I appreciate it!
Why not tie a knot ?
I just prefer this in case the cable gets cut on something. It’s easy to burn an end replace it. Vs using a vise to split the cable and retie the knot. Both work methods work.
Trophy ridge digital react 1️⃣
I switched out my. Seat on my novix echo to the mesh seat I felt the other 1 Wasn't comfortable so so I got. The mesh seat
I have to say....EZ V is the shit, hands down !!!!
You need to get your hands on an Option.
I’ll have to check it out! I’ll try to get one and do a review.
I never understood the people who preferred the ball joint vises. It's the worst design for setting 3rd axis.
It takes a lot longer to get it set. The micro adjust is so much better for being really precise!
I’ve read several reviews of people complaining about the FHF FOB is the stitching on the back at the bottom of the harness being uncomfortable with lighter clothing. Have you noticed this?
Yeah it’s definitely noticeable. I mostly wore it with a sweatshirt. With a light layer it’s noticeable and a little uncomfortable.
@@thehiddenoutdoors6535 Thank you for your feedback!
The howards bow vice has zero movement also so not sure how the bow was moving in the vise in this video. I been in archery 36 years and its the best vise ive tried. No vise on the market is better built so i respectfully disagree with you.
I appreciate the feedback. Could be mounted differently. Good vise just not my top choice.
Was the new L camera more reliable?
I found that they lasted a lot longer than the previous version. Seemed to get more pictures. Still had two cameras that for some reason the batteries wouldn’t last as long as the other cameras. Weren’t getting that much more pictures so not why they weren’t as good. Overall they performed better.
been using the hog father but have been recently going with HHA really liking it would love to try the UV but not sure its worth the $$$ ??????????????????????????????????????????????
Mama told me, Leonard skinner are surely missed
I agree!
Love ❤️ this
Thank you!
The Total Peep 0 grip is perfect in my opinion.
I agree!
Just got mine in today. Took it in to get it leveled and 1st,2nd,and 3rd didn’t even need to be adjusted. This sight is well worth the money
That’s awesome! Hard to beat that!
Promo`SM
Try the recon out
I have it added to the list.
Will ur phone fit in the hidden pocket with the lid shut?
Yes it will.
I love this sight so much I am now running this sight on both my Phase 4 and new Lift. I have also decided to run this sight on my Bowtech Core SR and my Darton Sequel 33.
Lower the music, I could barely hear you
I thought it might be but wanted to try it and see. I’ll lower it in the future videos. Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it!
I like the review, Joe! Lots of great options out there. You mentioned cheaper and not out yet.. Does it happen to have micro adjust too? -Brad@BBA
Yes it does. It’s the new one you’re making!
@@thehiddenoutdoors6535 - Ahh, so my suspicions were correct then. Well thank you for your order and you should have it sometime next week!
@@BowBarsArchery looking forward to getting it! Thanks
Seriously. Considering buying 1. In 14 for in either od. Green or flat dark 🌎
They make nice stands. The new colors look great. If I buy another those are the colors I’d choose as well.
Good vibes only! 🙌
nice informative video, I haven't seen the lighter nocks mentioned in any of the articles
I appreciate the comment. Components get overlooked but something to take into consideration.
Couple things on sizing and ergonomics with the Ibex (i own both sizes). There are two sizes, Small/Medium and Medium/Large. The difference between the two is the size of the index finger bed. That's all. The rest of the handle is unchanged between sizes. Both sizes run large as compared to a UV Hinge 2.0 Medium, and the Ibex spreads your fingers apart more than the UV Hinge 2.0 Medium. So if your hands are on the smaller side, this release is not going to fit well (at least until they come up with a "Mini")
Thanks for the clarification!
I’m between the black gold pro 3 pin & the Cbe trek pro or the trek pro 3v, would love to hear what you think about the two?
I personally haven’t used the Cbe. I’ve heard mixed things on the Cbe. The things that I read that I didn’t like was that the pins being bent of not in a straight line. I wish black gold would make a vertical 3 pin. I personally would go with black gold.
Good follow-up review on the Ibex release. Small/Medium and Medium/Large isn't great, especially when reviewers state they use a medium size. I wish Evolution Outdoors would have a different sizing nomenclature.
I agree. Needs to be just large or medium. It is a little confusing.
On the larger green release looks like there is some figment issue where the 2 half’s do not meet is that by design?
No I think since it was an early design that it wasn’t machined as well. The new one seems to be machined well.
Are you looking for a axcel landslyde with Montana black gold pins and a spot hogg housing just a little lighter on weight, but strong, with the adjuster wheel like the black gold? That's where I'm at, I own most of the sights you have and that would be a winner for me with all the axis adjustments. Great video.
I agree! They all have great features but if you could have the perfect sight that would be it. Excited to try the new Spot Hogg sight and see what it’s like.
Hey man this video is titled wrong.
Don’t think it’s better?
Title says X3 but video is for tournament edition. Definitely think the X3 is an upgrade from the ryz. Just ordered the frame and the ultra view scope yesterday. Thanks for the info man, keep up the great videos!
The new smaller size is a huge upgrade and just the finish is much better
I agree! I just got mine and will be doing a video on it shortly
Love my slider zero issues seems like some people got some that was malfunctioning or something or either don’t know how to operate it correctly
I haven’t had any issues either.
great job thanks🤠
I appreciate the comment! Thank you for watching!
Just. Curious how. Far off the. Ground did you both of these stands
I had them just under 3’.
OK
The mesh seat from the raider. Series will work on the echo
@@matthewmcnulty698 that’s good to know. I do like the mesh seat a little better.
I think. The mesh seat is going. To be. Far better
My. Buddy hangs both his and my stand
That’s a good buddy!
Yep Still new To The Treestand game and I have the. New. Novix seat on my echo
Not if your lefty it’s a up side down right handed
The problem is if your left handed your getting a $642 sight that is right handed up side down it’s going back !
Sounds like their customer service isn’t the best!
The only two things I would have done differently would have been not got the stick ever and I would have gotten the two step long sticks
The double sticks are nice. More comfortable when hanging the stand.
Love the hog father. Took a year to test and decide on it.
Where did you buy the OMP vise and when did you buy it? OMP sells two versions of the micro adjust vise…… I want the style you have.
I bought it in February of 22. At that time the only place that had it in stock was a seller on Amazon which is where I bought it. Lancaster archery or a few others sell them but usually they are sold out.
You didn’t tune it!
I didn’t show it but it was timed well already. There’s a lot of micro adjustments that can be done that I didn’t show or do in this video.
@@thehiddenoutdoors6535 what? Timing and tuning are 2 different things! There is no way of knowing how close your bow is tuned unless you shoot through paper to see. You can then switch your top hats out to take away big paper tears and micro adjust your rest to get a bullet hole. That’s a tune! Then you can broadhead tune after that. That’s a tune! Timing is when you have the top and bottom cam hitting at the same time. You posted your video showed a tune. It did not.
In the video I showed switching the top hats and shooting through paper. No I didn’t show switching out the top hats in detail and showing matching them up and why to shim the cam left or right. This video was already longer than I wanted it to be. To show all of it would have been a long video. As I switched them out several times.
@@thehiddenoutdoors6535 that’s fair!
Weird way to tie in a peep. 🤔
I thought the same thing when I first saw a peep tied in this way. I don’t think it’s as quick as other ways but it does hold it in a place.
@thehiddenoutdoors6535 I always do the solid serving top and bottom, and spiral around the sides.
Alaskan Guide Creations
I’m interested in what happened to the rest? I have a new bow ordered and was planning on using the new qad rest.
I don’t know if it’s very common but sometimes it wouldn’t drop away. Compared to the one that worked properly it’s like something internally was sticking. Just moving the rest up and down wasn’t as smooth as it should be. I know it’s a popular rest so hopefully i just got a bad one and most work well. I haven’t had any issues with other qads.
I’ve experienced some timing issues with one of my qad rests. Once I ditched the football clamp and tied into the proper cable it worked great. Although I do worry about inner mechanisms failing. I also agree that its difficult to move the rest up and down on the dovetail mount but I tell myself that’s good machining tolerances. Btw great video
That’s usually the way I install them but figured I’d try the clamp. On the next build I bought a different clamp so I’ll try that. I’ll probably end up switching the football clamp out but we will see.
Good job mate Greets from Australia
They need to do some better work building it. That prototype, the two halves don’t fit well. It looks awful. Sorry but I would not buy one.
I agree. There’s room for improvements. I ordered the smaller size so I’ll do another review once I get it.
