My European ancestors settled in the Oklawaha River Valley in the 1820s. My Timucua, and Potano, ancestors have lived here for thousands of years. Still sacred to me. Wonderful program.

I just saw the same thing Sunday night around 8:20pm on I-95 going North past Daytona Beach almost in Ormond Beach! It was beautiful. First it was a bright yellow light like a huge crab shape, I thought it was an airplane than I looked again because it was getting closer and so bright, than it seemed to have moved direction and turned into a tail of fire with many colors but mostly red, it lasted about 10 seconds and it turned into a star just like this video. I took pictures right before it turned into a star.

I seen this last night in DeLand .. I took a ride coming from Ocala .. I was driving and couldn't record .. now I'm looking to see if anyone have info in what I seen ...I checked for rocket launches from jfk no launches last night .. definitely not a capsule coming back to earth because the object was moving from earth. It's started off moving slow then fast like a rocket

I doubt that. Because I saw something just like this on the 25th,at 1:30 a.m. I live in Port Orange,by Nova Rd. and Dunlawton. I saw another UFO that looked completely different the night after. I'm 63 years old. I've never seen a UFO before. So this makes 2 back to back.

Easily one of the most overlooked gems of my home state. Not that I'm complaining.. (but in this day and age, policy makers should know full well what massive scale of destruction we are capable of... and the beyond words and numerical figures such gems of mother nature provide- inherently, recreationally, spiritually, economically if sustained, life lessons to be learned from, and so on

I’ve been curious to what specifically indigenous peoples were out in the Green Swamp. I know the Tocobaga disappeared sometime after the 16th century. Then during the Seminole Wars the Green Swamp provided the Seminoles refuge, as well as “perches of ambush” deep in the wilderness. I’ve wanted to learn more about Green Swamps native history. There’s Indian Mounds all over.

I agree Michael. The pre natives, the ones before the present native americans, called it Ocala. Then the native americans conquered and colonized it changed the name to Ocali. Finally the europeans changed it back to the original name Ocala. History is just one big colonization station homie! Peace
