The lower portion of the upper intake HAS 8 isolator bolts, not 7. They've also been revised to green rubber instead of black. Cheers

Mejo you used the wrong gaskets, they make some that are aluminum with the rubber orings, instead of the junky plastic ones.

That's a iac valve not a EGR valve on top of throttle body.

Nice Video! Just completed the job. went through a whole pack of bushings and had to go get more dropped 4 broke a tab of 4 as I pressed them in. Dealer gets 6 hrs for this nightmare job. OK here the secret. dont be afraid to pull the fuel rail on left side, I tried for couple hrs, many bushings. Just jiggle it and lift it up. I only removed last one and held rail up with a zip tie. Now you can use your left hand. Im right handed but couldnt turn the bushing as I tried to get it in. Using left hand on left buttterfly valve gently push in bushing stoping before it goes in all the way. Look with light and mirror to make sure you see all tab ends in the square hole. Pushing it in with out checking for all 4 tabs is how I broke 3 bushings. think I could do it again with 2 bushings and 1 hour start to finish. DIFFICULTY....1-10, 8.7

Ok. I thought I must've nodded off somewhere, but from some comments, I didn't... I'm one of those people who not only need to be Told every step on how to do something, I really must SEE every step on how to do something. And generally more than once :D But I suppose these 3 vids will help those who already have a working knowledge... As for me, I got just enough information to decide that I may not want to try this myself. :)

So what were you experiencing that made change the runner control in the first place? I have a lean code I've been chasing since march and more recently, a runner stuck open code. Truck is smooth, but at time it misfires, so I'm getting ready to do this, gaskets, and injectors all in one go.

I been sealing with mine for 1 whole months 2 gaskets now and still leaking testung with smoke machine pain in the ass tbh. It keeps leaking in the back midle side I put silicon on bottom and top fot the second ine and still no good -_-

Good video but its not the head gasket its just called the lower intake manifold gasket

I just watched your video replacing the lower intake gasket and i was literally thinking how those fuel injectors look kind of dirty. I'm in the process of replacing my intake gasket as well, i removed the lower intake in august but I've been procrastinating since then. I suggest that you clean all the injectors, maybe they're clogged, and while you're at it replace the o-rings. I cleaned mine and you can see the difference. i think that all the PO17X codes are too much air/vacuum leak because it calls for both banks, as for the P0303 faulty/clogged injector or loose connector, P0401 i think you did good unclogging the ports. This is just my personal opinion as a DIY.

Thanks for the video! Have a 2003 f150 4.2L with 308K and running strong but a 1518 code. Minute 6:35 of this video will help me orient myself without taking anything off. Not sure if the linkage is disconnected yet or if it's possible to reconnect it without a teardown, going to try. Using a Klein Boroscope , $39 Home depot, to see what's up back there and your video will be an excellent guide, so thanks for making it..
