Hello how do I prime the pool when I need to vacuum?

I am using the Hayward Smart Transformer for my pool and spa lights with the Omni PL. Where do I tie it into the Omni PL? Thank you

Thank you for the absolutely perfect video on programming. I am going to install and program PLPRO for an enclosed pool which will operate during winter. This has a SuperPump SE (non VS). I understand it has to be connected through a high voltage relay. In this situation how do I increase flow rate when heater need to start etc? Will the system by default stop and re-start the pump to get to the highest speed programmed in the pump memory? Or is it better to replace the pump with a VS in order to lower frreeze risk during winter, from Flow error in heater. Thank you in advance.

some confusion on your comment that the heater is wired to your breaker....that can't actually happen. you can wire the heater wires to the 240v wires coming from the breaker and pig tail the 240 wires to your Line In 1 and Line in 2 on the HVR 1 relay; and if using a VSP pump you would join the pump wires to the 240v wires from breaker along with the heater wires and pig tail those to your HVR1 relay.

Great tutorial. Interested in doing the same thing as I have an OmniPL. Why not just use the LVR on OmniPL to power the valve?

Argh!!! The screwdriver on the screen is so annoying! I would be furious if my builder was using a screwdriver to touch that plastic screen.

Question real quick I have a customer that has one of these systems and he also has an actuator for some sconces. However, all of a sudden they don’t show up on any of the programming screens I go into the service menu where I see all four valve options if I hit valve three it turns the actuator, but I don’t see any place. For an existing pool setup, how do I change the filter speed to 80 percent as shown in video to help with low flow spa issues with heater?

My Omni automation valves quit working. I can't swap from pool mode to spa mode. And the valve will not move with the switch under the actuator either. Seems like there is a bad fuse or no power.

This video was great,. Installation was smooth sailing. Fired everything up, no hiccups. However, hit a snag when configuring the system. When it comes to selecting relays, I'm faced with an empty list. Even when I reach the part for choosing the salt generator, it's drawing a blank. Any ideas on what I might be missing here?

How often do you clean this filter?

planning to do this with my pool. any issues with the valve not closing fully? someone said that irrigation valves wont close if there's any pressure downstream. with the water tied into the supply side there will be pressure any time the pump runs. can i tie into the suction side instead?

Got this OmniPL retrofit kit and installed it on my ProLogic panel and everything works great except the lights… when I turn them on they turn on for about 10 seconds then they turn off and stay off. I tried different shows, fixed lights, modes (UCL, CL 4.0 etc) and it does the same thing. What could be causing this? I followed the instructions to a T. Also, when the lights turn on they always turn on to a dark violet/pink color and nothing else, I hit red, blue, green, white and none work… only the violet/pink color. Also, my lights are ColorLogic 4.0. 2 pool lights and 2 spa lights, appear to be all wired to the same relay. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Tyler. Thank you very much for this great video. I just purchased 2 variable speed pumps. One is a 2.7 Trystar VS 950 for the pool that I can connect to the OmniLogic to the 4 PIN connectors via the communication cable. The other one is a Superpump XE for the waterfall (also a variable speed pump) but I was told that I have to connect it to the high voltage relay because it does not have the option to connect it to the Omni via a communication cable. Basically, although it is a variable speed pump, I can only turn it ON and OFF with the Omni but I cannot control the speed. Is this correct? Hey guys , I can not for the life of me get the colorlogic 320 lights to work with omnidirect. They just keep working in regular ucl mode. They are the newer version but not the networked ones. Do I have them wired wrong? I can’t find info anywhere on wiring. The hv relay is wired to the transformer which then goes to the the lights.

I have this unit and since nearly day one I am getting an "MSP_DEV_COMM_LOSS, Comm Loss Device: blah blah blah HUA:MP" error which results in things on the HVRs like the blower and lights turning off and being unable to turn back on. As far as I can tell, all the other functions work still, like turning pumps on and off, as well as the chlorinator. Firmware is up to date. Hayward was unhelpful and told me to find a service tech in my area using their search tool, but I've tried many and nobody ever responds.

How do I change freeze mode temp? Its currently set at 40 degrees and I can't control the heater to the spa if outside temp is below 40 degrees. Is there a way to only adjust the heater temp to 34 or 36 degrees?

Hayward states not to use lube on band clamp o ring

If the pool & spa share a pump, filter, and WATER, why would you consider that two bodies of water? I don't understand what the benefits of programming two bodies of water are. You mentioned conflicting information being fed to the Omni, what about when freeze protection is active?

Thanks so much for your help. Your last statement about not hooking the Heater to the HVR fixed my issue. My electrician did not know what he was doing and did not wire up my pool equipment properly for it to work with the OmniPL. I could not get it to turn on/off or adjust temperature using the app. I figured out how to put the heater in Bypass Operations mode, but it still was not working. Once I rewired the heater straight to the circuit breaker and adjusted my setting to use the LV1 relay rather than the HVR1, it worked like a champ. Thanks so much!!

Who in the right mind uses a screwdriver to manipulate any kind of touchscreen, if you just installed the system at my home and I saw you doing that to my new touchscreen 🤬

On my pl ps 8 it shows hooking a 2 speed pump up across 2 relays vs directly to the circuit breaker? Also shows going from one relay to vs pump not directly to the breaker ? Can yo advise on that thx

Your video is amazing. I was able to program our Omni and it is working wonderfully. The issue we are having is when we I added our suction cleaner (Barracuda) and the spillover the pump sounds like it goes on and off from a high rpm to a low rpm . It does it all the time. I ended up removing the cleaner and the spillover from the Omni to avoid the issue and make sure our new Hayward 950 VSP pump does not go bad. Our cleaner shares a valve with the skimmer. Any suggestions to fix the issue?
