what is this game's story about? can you play as a female mc? is exploration and combat done only in 1st-person? can you play a pure mage from the begining ,no melee?

All this talk about load order and updates I don’t even use the unofficial patch and I’ve never had a issue and I’m using the series s my gams works perfectly and I’m always swapping out mod and I’ve never crashed fallout works better then Skyrim when it comes to mods I know that much

If Bethesda fails with this DLC Starfield is done. I hope this DLC turns out to be great but I have no more faith in Bethesda so I am expecting a flop. Prove me wrong Bethesda, I would welcome some good news about Starfield for once.

Starfield isn't perfect but I've been loving it. They've fixed and added many things. 60 fps, over 25 game play options, camera options, difficulty sliders, other game play sliders including a survival mode, creations kit, Rev 8 land vehicle, surface maps, bounty scanning system, tracker alliance building and quests, and more. And the 1st major expansion DLC Shattered Space is coming next month. Which is said to be the size of Far Harbor and is all on 1 planet and around 1 major city with all hand crafted content. After all the updates the game is a 8.5/10 for me, which jives with the 85 PC and 83 X Metacritic score. And it maybe a 9/10 after Shattered Space drops.

I 100% agree with all of your speculations. Based on the defeat numbers for the horrors I definitely see them as a step beyond Terrormorphs. I also agree the game desperately needs more PoIs and I was hoping that the expansion would be an excuse to shadow drop those as well.

I love starfield. If the dlc is a huge handcrafted map with real exploration, and if they do it every year, i am so in ❤ You know 5million people played starfield this month? there are 300k people playing right now. If bethesda can nail this dlc thing, there's a sustainable future!

The modern day house Va'ruun is generally peaceful, they even hold an embassy. The Zealots you fight are but fanatics who didn't exactly agree with that peace, and wanted nothing to do with it. So technically the two are already in a bit of a civil war.

I love the exploration, but I think a lot of you are going to be disappointed if you think this DLC is suddenly gonna turn the game into Skyrim or Fallout. I think the exploration will just be an expanded version of what we have now (more POIs). But I don't think there's gonna be tons of unique POIs in every direction

Do we think starfield and the way they are handling DLC could be a shift in Bethesda’s strategy? it seems as if they have created a rather “empty” universe that they are willing to further detail and fill with DLC. The downside is the consumer is having to pay for every extra official and non official (but BGS sponsored) content

The rover changed everything for me cause exploring everything by foot was tedious.

You know what else will be amazing? When this DLC is released it will add 1000s of new data records into the game and unless BGS manages until then to fix their mod plugin count disaster (which I doubt they can) it will ruin almost everyone's mod list.

What do I want? ●I want huge aircraft carriers as large as a skyscrapers for huge space battles because in space size matters. ●Battlestar Galactica single pilot style space fighter planes with crazy maneuverability to dock and exit said aircraft. ●Long-lasting damage to ships so I can have a reason to craft parts and spacewalk for repairs as an option. ●Giant customizable spacestations for docking, living and defense.There's nothing that says I own this planet quite like a Giant Spacestation. I wouldn't mind seeing O'Neil Cylinders orbiting around planets either. ●D.F.T. deep field telescopes on my ship and my person to zoom in on distant planets and other objects to far away to detect. ●An end to loading screens. ●Gaint customizable settlements with a butt load of new build items like livable Habs that can stack to make tall and large livable apartment buildings filled with npcs' that can come to settle and live depending on its growth rate and status. ●Bigger biodomes in said settlements to house parks, plantlife, and wildlife. ●Crazy Blade Runner style neon signs for outside building decoration. ●Buildable Streets and inclosed walkway builds. ● Large NPC settlements across the world so we can fight over resources. ●A merchant system where I can mine resources send them up to my spacestation and have spacetrucker cargoships take them out of the system automatically while I get paid. ●Deep cave systems with natural biodomes and antlike monsters and other creatures on moons and places I least expect. Wherever there's water there's a way. ●Crimson Fleet prison labor camps that I can liberate. ●For my ship to be able to fly or hover across the surface of these planets instead of just takeoff and land. ●More weird creature variants like insects that can swarm to hunt or fungi infectious plants and more mammal variant like creatures. ●Avatar looking plantlife, explorable ocean floors. larger GTA sized cities filled with new quests and side missions. So much space so much potential. I want it all, and don't care about storage, and despite what the haters say, Starfield is the most likely to deliver it.

I can not wait. I already pre ordered it. Really love that they are making one massive DLC every year, instead of loads of little ones. Starfield is a game im either obsessed with or taking a break from. So bigger is better. I can go nuts in this DLC for a month and then move on 😂

If they can get this out and get really good feedback on the place having hand crafted locations maybe they go back and add like 5x the amount of random pints of interest we have and that could literally save the game in a lot of ways

U think if they made a thing were if anuf people wanted it they just remaster skyrim we aint getiing es6 till atlest 2028 like how can u download 100gb on star but not on skyrim id rather pay 60£ 100£ to be able to get a more modded skyrim for the ones who dont have a big pc

I'd say Shivering Isles is the best DLC that Bethesda has ever made, but Far Harbor is in a close tie with it, and I'm excited that they are starting strong with such a big DLC. They should stay away from any and all cosmetic DLC too, the wasteland workshop DLC felt like a ripoff. Leave that to the community and free patches.

Really only the Zealots that are bad. I found the HV ambassador and Andreja to be OK. I’m also married to Andreja.❤️Will find out more in DLC.

We just got a car almost a year after release, maybe next they'll make a cell phone dlc so I can complete these brain dead side quests in 20 seconds instead of travelling across the galaxy to tell someone something and then immediately turn around and go back to where I came 😂

I just hope there’s no game breaking quest bugs in the DLC like how it was in the base game.

Dragonborn has an achievement for 30 locations, and Far Harbor only 20.

Another interesting thing i noticed: It may just be as an icon, but the Redemption Arc achievement seems to show a sword that looks strikingly like an elongated Va'ruun Painblade, which as an avid Painblade enjoyer... gets me very intrigued as to if we're gonna get an upgrade 👀

Heres hoping these vortex enemies turn out to be an actual sentient alien race that rivals Humans, i really want to see that instead of all the non sentient monster aliens on every planet!

I'm hesitant about the 50 locations achievement. There are more than 50 locations on planets we have now, but they're proc gen.

50 locations is pretty standard for their DLC locations. Think Far Harbor, Point Lookout, Solthsteim, or the Shivering Isles. That sort of thing. Shattered Space is definitely going to fall into the realm of a bigger "landmass" DLC like those, but I am willing to bet we will probably get the rest of the planet and system to explore as well, proc gen of course. Unless they come up with some reason, we can not venture throughout the system. As a forwarning, a lot of these locations will probably be smaller locations, with the really deep dungeons being countable on one hand. I wouldn't expect 50 deep and complex locations, as someone who has been playing and enjoying BGS titles since Oblivion

At 300 hours now and my character is just now hitting level 83, just now getting into the deeper mechanics of outpost building & just now finally having an idea of what kind of build I like after going through like 6 different characters and settling on my main thats the lvl 83. Genuinly my biggest complaint currently (after adding the trackers quest & the land buggy) is the utter lack of a respec system. It desperately needs a respec without needing modding it in.

Tip: If you're not picking up dropped weapons, you're missing out on even more ammo.

i will be completely honest, since they added the rover, especially with the mods that increase speed and fuel duration, i am FINALLY having fun exploring. It DRAMATICALLY cut traversal time between POIs, which is exactly what i needed. Now i find myself actually playing Starfield like a true Bethesda game.

We need more expansions with handcrafted planets

Unless those 50 locations include the random POIs that generate thousands on each planet 🤷🏻‍♂️

We need a Va'ruun-Kai native background or perk category [SPOILER] Considering that if you get a high enough relationship with Andreja, she calls you an converted outsider, which kind of ruined it for one of my characters, who I had as a lost native or redeemed zealot sorta ordeal.

hopefully I'll have all my powers and have them fully leveled by the time shattered space releases.
