I film ghost towns, abandoned mines, and occasionally deserted prisons! My passion is to explore and give facts about the history of these unique areas.
Why Was Machu Picchu Abandoned? #machupicchu
Machu Picchu is one of the great wonders of the world, constructed by the Incas. This awe inspiring citadel was deserted in the 16th century, and no one is quite sure why. Did the Incas become ill and perish from smallpox, or did they choose to leave before the Spanish discovered the ancient city? The Spanish invaders never found Machu Picchu, as it turned out. Join us as we explore this fascinating archeological wonder. If you like this video and want to see more adventures, remember to hit the share button and subscribe!

My hope is that the owner would be willing to sell it to our BC Government to have it converted into an residential treatment center for alcohol and drug addictions. This is in the far northwest corner of our province. The surrounding area would offer a therapeutic environment. The houses need updating, along with the rest of the buildings. A long term treatment would help people to recover and maybe learn skills training opportunities with rebuilding some of the existing buildings. This could serve for residences for the counselors and other supporting staff too. It is also the same hope I have for Ocean Falls right on the west coast on the mainland, it too is an abandoned small community with many of the buildings still intact.
?
Battle cats ahh island
😂 bro i live on an island where sheep out number humans its not that hard exsphaly if the island is small But yer on a serious note i wana go!
I suggest visiting the island before the cats get too old. The resident who takes care of them is also elderly, about 75-76.
Yes ....yes it is
I live in Texas, and Terlingua is famous for its chili cook off. I'm not surprised about ghost towns in Texas. The biggest state is Alaska and then we're second in size.
Can you fly drone there?
Yes you can. And you can still get in. The famous graffiti highway is now buried under 400 dump truck loads or dirt because the property owner viewed it as a liability and wanted to prevent people from wanting to go there. You can definately still go to centralia and walk around though. It's the main inspiration for the silent hill franchise 😊
@brooksysdead ok thank you !
Love this place go out there every year when I am in Las Vegas for the Rodeo also down the road from Nelson is the Colorado river.
I go there all of the time.
The Japanese government should take over the houses, refurbish them and give them to the homeless. Even though their government says they don't have homeless people, it's a lie, their homeless population is steadily growing each year.
In Japan this can turn into a bureaucratic nightmare. The government can't just take over and relocate the homeless due to legal and cultural factors.
too bad i went yesterday
not to mention radioactive wolves!
🤔 It probably was that hole in the Indian Ocean that's probably in-line with the Bermuda Triangle.
THIS ONE OF MANY TOWNS THAT WHERE WIPE OF THE PLANET DURING WW2 AND THERE OTHERS THAT HAD SIMILAR FATE AS THIS ONE
I visited Gilman in 2019 with a couple buddies.. we had no problem getting in or out of there without being detected by eagle county sheriffs.. but we ran into a female mtn lion with her cubs in one of the abandoned houses we were exploring and it scared the shit out of me.. just another reason I carry when I go urbexing lol
Glad you got out. That could have turned ugly.
Boogeyman got em ..
Detroit aint gettin human anymore
Do not do this ... your asking to go missing

Forbidden? Challenge accepted! *one month later* Some dumbass's body was discovered in an old mining town in Colorado. He took one step, tripped on a pebble & fucking died.
Wonderful! I bet at night it´s quite spooky! 👻
I wanted to stick around until the evening, but navigating the roads would have been dangerous.
I can imagine!
AI voice. Boooo. Make your own content
this town looks better than some towns do today ....such a shame no one is there
Such a beautiful town, I'd love to live there!
Why don’t they create a farm coop and have people move there buy into the coop and work it
Good idea, in theory. But first you would have to get people willing to farm, and live in this isolated area.
Cool. Neat shrine. Thanks for the tour.
what a small fked up city
I feel sad seeing this.

Worked for Bc Moly in 1971/72.Was United nations of guys, lots of fun in that bar, when not working double shifts.
Are the any active minds
Not here. Mining operations stopped in 1942.
Look's like Desperation!
What a fantastic place! It would be incredible to live there and own those mines!!! I'm surprised that it isn't a super popular place for people to explore!
You and me both!
It’s mostly private property.
4:38 Wow.
I think that It would be a great place to make it the first town that has only electric vehicles also it would be a great place for people with addictions to get the help that they need we should be making anything to do with clean energy I would love to live there and try to make this happen
Great idea! I'd love to live there too!
I really want to live there
Amazing art. I'd live there in a heartbeat.
At night, when you need urgent desperate emergency help, you run up to a house hoping that the person sitting there can help, only to find that it is just another scarecrow.
Toronto minus thirty degrees is a hoot ! In winter it is usually 2 to 4 degrees ABOVE zero.
Not lately
imagine walking through this village at night... it could be the stuff of nightmares.
I wanted to stick around until dark, but we were on such a tight schedule and the roads going out can be treacherous at night. Not too many street lights out here. Oh well...it was a fun visit!
It will take lot of courage to live there
WHY THEY ABANDONE THIS BEAUTIFUL PEACEFUL PLACE???? IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG???
The lack of job/career opportunities is the reason most of them left the village.
YOU MEAN THERES NO ONE ALIVE PEOPLE LIVING THERE???
Yes, but only a handful. Fewer than twenty.
The problem is those communities in Japan don't allow foreigners to settle, they are closed within. Even tho many foreigners would love to live there, they will be shunned etc... They will not sell to a foreigner. So they rather choose abandonment and decay over livelyhood and life.
That's a shame 😔
when it comes to integration with others, Japan is like what the U.S was in the 50's, they're still low key racist and prejudice towards other Asians and Westerners.
And..when you walk in this village at midnight..,,all the houses still in good condition
I want to cry watching this.. I feel like I know the scarecrow maker's feeling.. I feel sad where around the world it is hard to own a house.. in this rural area, all the house abbandoned.. I hope I can live there with my wife and son, we love quiet place..
If you're looking for silence, this is the place to be.
perfect horror movie setting
hats off too the custodians
They do a great job.
The Vancouver alleys are very distinctive and fairly wide , I can usually tell cop shows that are filmed here just by the alleys!😊
Got my ass beat last year on my vacation never gettin wasted there again😭
In Tokyo?
Ye they stole my watch too😭😭😭
