That said,we are a work in progress still (just this off season alone),plus I like our trajectory and ascendancy and believe our future looks brighter and we will soon enough over take the Braves and Phillies. I want them both since we really didn’t do much with our starting pitching and pitching writ large. The difference should be made up with our offense. At least we would be top heavy in this area to make up for subpar pitching.

I honestly think Peterson will be our best pitcher this year if he stays healthy. I saw a lot last year and believe he’s ready to take that next step and be the most reliable guy we have. Time will tell.

If the goal of this off season is to wait for Vlady for 1B, you’d essentially be guaranteeing a powerhouse team for the next 8-10 years. I’d sacrifice one more year to get the right players and be set for the next decade. We’ve already waited this long for our team to be good. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree on all points you’ve said. Especially Pete. We could do a lot worse at first base and we really need him HR production, otherwise signing Soto for his 41 is a wash for what Pete does. I’m only talking HR which also equates to Runs. We need him. 4 x 26 and maybe a club option. Club option gives us a year to use him at DH for the bulk of the season. We also need pitching for sure and if we think Mauricio will be available he will not. Close to a full season for him in AAA to regain his form.
