Comgrow uses a different baud rate making it incompatible

Comgrow Z1 is a grbl base? 32 bit processor like ARM or ESP? Does it support offline engraving module and does it have input pins to connect offline engraving?

@@manifa59 I can run the engraver through usb with lasergrbl. So yes it is grbl based . Processor type not sure. They have the 8 pin aux connector ---- +5v on pin 1 and 2-- Gnd on pin 3 and 4---- 5 6 7 have a voltage on them. so I can only assume pin 5 is xmit, 6 unknown, 7 is rcv, pin 8 has no connection. in manual mode, when buttons are pressed, I see data being sent and received on the xmit and rcv pins but no response on the engraver. I do see info on the controller lcd screen. If i disconnect the rcv line, I see no display, so I do know the engraver and controller are connected and communicating.

This offline controller works fine if wires are connected correctly, I have some issues while testing and all of them were about memory cards and incorrect wiring. after checking all works ok without any problem

@@manifa59 ok, no problem, I have worked in electronics and IT for over 45years. I checked everything I can find. I dont see any hardware issues (anymore). I really think the issue is with software or the port. The engraver works properly when connected USB. I have ordered a commercial controller, and will see how that one works.

Hi you may need to set your spindle Frequency, Amper and voltage and all related settings of your spindle. The sound of the spindle all depends on the above settings. and you need to have "Ground" connection correctly too

This PCB supports 3 Axis and we have 4 driver in PCB to mount. The last one can be work as a clone of X Ya or Z axis according to your need

Hi I am using this RnRMotion plugin: drive.google.com/file/d/1MP2sYZ91PUQWU0tUXL7es5HeQoBf_dgm/view just this plugin and other settings must be set correctly in Mach3 software. Be sure all wirings connect correctly too.

Hi It's good for beginners and to work with Mach3 boards as easy as possible, It may have some problems but let the DrufalCNC team to aware of problems. It is a new burn software and has a long way to improve and bug fix.

@@manifa59 This is not new software. I have correspondence from 2021 in my archive. I pointed out the problems and provided measurements, calculations and even graphs. They did nothing. In 2023, I contacted them with a request to help connect MPG to the STB4100 controller, but I did not receive an answer. Were you able to connect MPG to this controller? I want to state that this is not good for beginners or anyone! Problem: the spindle moves jerkily.

You mean noise and some sudden disconnection? If you use a short USB cable and connect the earth cable correctly , most of the problem is solved automatically. I have not had any problems yet.

I do not mean to ground the USB cable , you need to ground your CNC , Drivers and inverter to reduce noise .

You need to used shielded cables and Noise filter

1- Upload code to Arduino Uno 2- Put Keypad LCD shield on it 3- Connect MOSI , MISO , SCK , CS , GND and 5V to SD Ram reader module , these pins have been shown in "Connection" link. 4- Connect 5v , GND , TX and RX to main GRBL Controller. 5- Power your machine. any problem comment here to solve it together let me update the connection too

( rx to tx , tx to rx , gnd and 5V from offline controller to grbl controller) 2. turn the LCD contrast multi turn to see characters if your LCD's backlight turns on and off but nothing shown in it: turn the LCD contrast multi turn to see characters

These pins work as Input not Output to turn the LED on or off. But you can use them as an input signal to turn the LED on output .
