How to keep your Goals / New Years Resolutions Sharing 3 ways that you can keep your goals. 1. Be as specific as possible not generic or broad with your goals. 2. Don't add, replace. Instead of adding to your routine, replace your goal with something you can get rid of. 3. Aim for improvement not perfection. #homaking #goals #motherhood

Mom of four morning routine Sharing my current morning routine. I wake up around 4:30-5AM read my bible, and hop on the treadmill for a light walk. I try and walk for one hour and get ready for the day by making the bed, throwing in some laundry and getting dressed. Afterwards we went to Walmart to do a pick up, and when we got back we put our groceries away and got started on our chores. I let...

    Daisy your comment that you can get great BBQ in Memphis if you don't mind getting shot really made me laugh, it shouldn't have but did. My wife and I made the move from Tulare to Northwest Kentucky in 2022 and don't miss California a bit. Thanks for sharing your experiance with all of us and you have a wonderful attitude. My advise is pretty much the same, you need to assimilate with the culture and pass along the good vibes.

    I know I'm coming into the convo late, but I live in East Ky, and somebody I know that lives in West Ky told me there was a DEL TACO in a gas station in Bowling Green, Ky; I mean, if true, I willing to make the 5-hour drive.😂😂

    Ok, I am glad that your husband has found a job using his military experience. I am retired military and I am happy for you. Some questions for you as I watched all your video. Ok, one the Commissary is still less expensive then off of the economy. Two: why Idaho? I only ask because there are parts of Idaho that are black listed for military. Three: you talked about student debt, are you using your degree? I was born in Lompoc, Santa Barbara county. Four: you have beaches in Alabama. Five: is it easy to make friends in Alabama? Ok, that is enough. My family loves your videos. Thank you.

    Hey! Just found out some states allow you to be able to use a 529 plan to pay for homeschooling! You should talk about that! 529 plan is like a 401k plan (pre-tax dollars you put away for education expenses).

    We just quit our homeschool co op, one that I actually co founded! The planning process for the co op went great, but then we had a very toxic woman join who wanted to take over the whole thing. Plus I never intended the co op to take up so much of our time but it was really over bearing, with them wanting more and more of our time. Our time is valuable and it was starting to cut into our actual homeschool time which was counter productive. Plus I felt horribly overwhelmed and unhappy with the whole thing, it was very unhealthy. Once I made the decision to leave this huge weight came off my shoulders. We are much happier now without a co op, we have the freedom to do what is best for us. If some people like co ops, then great, but they aren't for everyone and that's okay!

    Maryland is great. Just have to register in my county. My county mandates that we keep a portfolio to show them mid year and at the end of the year for each subject area. But it's up to you how much.

    I’ve been homeschooling for 10 years and I hate it. I feel trapped in it. I feel called to it. I find myself sobbing in the bathroom at least once a month during the school year. I’ve tried to quit- God always says no. It is my chance to serve my family literally 24/7. In the future I will never feel guilty for having not spent enough time with my children. I could not have given more. I’ve thought of making a whole UA-cam channel called “I hate homeschooling”. God bless you all who find yourself here reading these comments.

    Is it true that there's a very large plastic & chemical company in Tennessee? Do you know where it is? I've heard things about lots of pollution in the water. I would like to visit, but worried that we won't even be able to play in the water. How does the pay seem compared to a larger city?

    Tennessee is loaded with poisonous snakes. My uncle, when he was 21, died from a cotton mouth snake. Some frineds of ours, decades later, opened their door to go out...there was a huge poisonous copperhead right in front of them ready to strike.

    We're going to get more crime and over crowding if Calis keep moving here. Go somewhere else. We control our population growth here...no breeding babies for welfare, like in Cali.

    What part of California are you from and do you still like Tennessee or do you miss the West Coast? In N Out is on the way to y’all now which I’m sure you know lol Also do you prefer Franklin or Brentwood?

    • @DaisyValdivia
      @DaisyValdivia Місяць тому

      Sorry for the late reply. I miss our family but not California itself. I just think in this day and age there nothing that I’m interested in that I can’t get somewhere else. Franklin is cheaper, Brentwood is nicer but expensive. Just depends on what you want.

    Ohio finally codified homeschooling into law last year, and it was a huge win for homeschoolers. It is no longer subject to any board of education or government officials. We only have to notify and no longer have a required number of school hours nor do we have to supply the superintendent with a description of our curriculum and other activities for the school year. The biggest change for us is testing and assessments are no longer required. So yeah, Ohio is a much easier and less intimidating state to homeschool now

    Tennessee is no longer affordable thanks to the blue state refugees flooding the area. Home prices have TRIPLED in the last 10 years. People coming here from Commiefornia still THINK it's affordable because the blue state they're running from is SO ruined by liberals, anything else looks better. But those of us who grew up here can see the destruction that's taken place and it makes us sad. If the blue state refugees vote conservative then everything will work out. Unfortunately that's probably not gonna happen. The blue staters will instead vote democrat and it's just a matter of time until freedom loving states have rainbow colors for their crosswalks.

    Thanks for this video! Do u still use Dimensions Math...I see this video was from 2 years ago. Also, looking into the program it looks like there are a lot of practice problems that go with each lesson. R u supposed to do all of those problems plus the challenge problems with each lesson or are there some given for extra practice if needed? We ve been doing it all but it s making math time go pretty long. Thanks!

    Govt never gives you anything for free. This can result in home visits, mandatory testing, background checks on all household members, outlawing gun ownership in the household for the law abiding citizens, even if school shootings happen on school premises. See the recent bill introduced in Missouri, politicians wanted to outlaw legal gun ownership for homeschooling families, and Missouri is a conservative state. I am not getting into politics, but I will not be left without protection for my children if if a criminal breaks into my house and wants to harm my family. Please educate yourself before giving the wrong advice. This can slowly lead to imposing so many regulations on homeschoolers that families will be forced to enroll the kids back in the public schools. Please read folks and educate yourself first.

  • @User122-qi6md
    @User122-qi6md 5 місяців тому

    Please stop telling people to accept money from the government as a homeschooling family that comes with strings attached and changes that can result in outlawing homeschooling. HSLDA clearly advises against it.
