When I discovered the wold of scrapbooking and junk journaling I quickly became a fan and since then I cannot stop creating the - what I call - "Joy Journals". They bring so much joy when making them and hopefully also joy to their future owners.

Junk Journal Flip Through "Crimson Beauty" - a tribute to the victorian era
This junk journal was very much inspired by the elegance and opulence of the victorian era. Being a vintage themed journal I, however, mainly refrained from the light colored, beige tones which are often common for nostalgic journals.
I rather used burgundy, crimson, gold and pastel colors throughout .
The cover turned out so rich with the double layers (velvet and lace) and the appliqué which I used. I added some beads and a pocket on the backside from gold lace.
The pretty lady has an alligator mouth, which I could not avoid (and I did not want to either) as she is filled up to the top with yummies.

Oh! This is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE it. I WANT it. Thanks for showing. By the way, Laura Ashley died a tragic death quite some years ago now, when she fell down her stairs in the dark one night and fractured her skull, suffering, I think, a cerebral haemorrhage. Her name, however, and her company, lives on, having been continued by her family. She really was a very talented designer, looking back to the beauty and aesthetics of the past in an age of ugly, functional, modernity.

I just found your channel., At the moment I am making a Victorian Journal, You have some wonderful Victorian pictures, but are they from a digital paper? As I find it hard to get Victorian photos
Hi, it is the same here in Germany, it is not so easy to find Victorian elements. I have added some authentic antique items but most pictures are from digital kits. Happy crafting 🤗

Martina, I am tickled that you mentioned me! You have been very busy with your happy mail :) Such a beautiful chunky monkey. Love ALL OF THE PINK, or course, I am partial. I am so happy that you are able to put your surprise supplies to good use. The piece of linen towards the beginning of the journal (by the way, great use for this!), from what I can find online is a cocktail napkin. This was in a large lot of doilies, dresser scarves, and napkins I purchased at a yard sale this past spring. I do know that it is vintage, my guess would be around 1950 if not older. I wish I had time to create like this!

Well, I bought a lot of my Indian fabrics in India, which is also true for the saris I used. They are vintage and so far I have never seen the same pattern twice. But you may want to check online there are several sites which sell saris or sari scraps.
I’m a first time viewer I have to say this journal is absolutely gorgeous. It’s not what I usually do but I find myself completely taken with these rich dark colors and over the top laces. I love it! 🖤🩷🖤
