I bought the2024 low rider st because everybody HAS ONE BESIDES ITS WAY TO HEAVY ,IVE HAD ULTRAS ROAD KING ALL NEW and manny shovel choppers and tour bikes are ok if you dont turn or drop it im 71and happy with same motor but less weight.

Get a adapter for that. Amazon like $6.

Perhaps it's perception. I think a RC classic should come in at $17,999. They prefer to bolt on 100 lbs. of plastic and electrics and sell bikes for $30,000+.

after fixing all of the hd poor designs on my 2008, s&s crank, cam plate, oil pump, ezstart cams, cnc ported heads, 2n1 jackpot exhaust, it runs great and I'm not ready to give them $25k just so I can start over.

IMO, Road King standard owners like me don't want a faring, bring back the RK Standard.

Well said. I had a 2008 Road King Classic one of my favorite bikes. Hope they do something great for the Road king 👑. It deserves it.

I think I heard something about a new "Road Wire". Full sized touring battery bike... just a rumor though.

Can't argue with a single point you made. Truth be told, Harley missed a golden opportunity (as usual) in 1994 when they dubbed the E-Glide Sport as the Road King. The non-faired FLH should have remained the Electra Glide Standard. The "Road King" moniker should have gone to what became the Ultra Classic. Keep in mind the FLTRs were not selling great quantities back then.

The problem is if they make a new Road King without all the electronics that will fail or become outdated quickly you would not be forced to buy a new one every few years

I have an Indian Springfield. Similar to a Road King. Indian seems to be doing the same thing. Im not a fan of fairinged bikes.

I have a ‘19 RK. I don’t need a radio. The standard was a better deal than the special. The only thing the Special had was the 114. It would cost $2000 to make the special into a touring bike.

If you change the Road King then it’s not a RK anymore.

Yeah they are messing up with the road king. For me the Road King is the best model Harley made. The glides to me are not what I think of when I think of Harley. They just never have looked like Harley’s to me. I see a better designed Goldwing every time I see a glide. You look at a road king and THATS what a Harley should look like. I can’t be the only one that thinks this?

Ultra didn't get update and rumor says they are gone in 2025. Plenty of people riding sg/rg in the areas you named just fine.

I have loved and have owned Road Kings!! I personally do not want or need a stereo or a giant fairing. My preference is the ability to have clear (unobstructed) view ahead. I love the way the Road King handles and enjoy long rides. It is my hope that the Road King is kept in the line up! Thank you for your video!

I agree. The RK should be at 23,999. Right at the ST price. I was shocked they didn't release a special paint set since it has been a holdover model. Hopefully the old parts bin has been depleted and we will see a 117 RKS with the option of Chrome or Black. Using all the current parts. I do like the idea of the Digital tac/info on the nacell. But the RK needs a unique paint set. I'm glad I brought the Apex RKS. Love that tin set.

I feel like the RK has gotten edged out price wise. RG/SG covers the full fairing Touring machines Around 26K. The Heritage and LRST fill the gap as the lighter weight touring machines around 23k. honestly I don't really follow what's a touring bike or not, I throw bags/sissy bar/bar bag/the ole lady on my Fat Bob, and it makes a phenomenal week long touring machine.

Over 45 years riding on Harley is over for new bikes for me. My 1980 fxwg is good enough for me

If they had just put the 114ci engine and rdrs on the standard Road King it would have been enough to get my money. Not a fan of blacked out bikes and stretched bags. The Highway KIng was way too expensive for a police Road King in fancy clothes.

Thank you.. Can you please explain how to tell the difference between a M8 header pipe and a twin cam? Just an easy ID..so if I see a used header pipe laying on the ground I can determine which it is..
