I bought it with the Steam release. After finishing it, PoP Lost Crown is one of the best Metroidvanias up to day: great platforming/parcouring, great combat, rewarding backtracking. The game is challenging and hard, but always fair.

I disagree with the statement that core identity of prince of persia was stripped. In fact it actually returns to its roots. Remember Prince of Persia (by Jordan Mechner) originally was a platformer. It felt like it was an upgrade on that version. We even get to fight our own self. On top of that recent steam shows that they actually put dedicated effort for just steam deck. This shows developers went extra mile to provide a compelling experience for everyone. Great game.

Best (Modern) Metroidvanias: 1. Hollow Knight 2. Ori and the Will of the Wisps 3. PoP the Lost Crown 4. Metroid Dread Yes, it is that good. I am a huge Metroid fan, finished and completed all of them 2D and 3D on any platform. It pushes for that number 2 slot as well. I think Ori is the better game in terms of the emotions it awakes within you by simply playing a video game. It is just brilliant.

This game is so underrated and it’s kinda sad because this game is soooo good and deserves the praise and spotlight

this game actually got me into metroidvania genre. I just finished F.I.S.T.: The Forged in Shadow Torch and trying to play Dark Light. This game was awesome!

I think it didn’t get much sale initially cause many have been hestitant by Ubisoft in general which sucks cause this game deserves the attention and sales from fans of metroidvanias or just 2d platformers in general. I have to give Ubisoft credit though despite the reports of initial low sales (not sure how true or accurate but still) they have allowed the dev team to release 3 free content updates adding new modes and challenges to the game and Ubisoft would usually demand a $40-$50 season pass for things like that sure for those of us that like this game we will have to pay the for the upcoming dlc but for me depending on what it offers and it’s price since they did release a nice amount of free content

Fantastic game after I took the plunge and collecting the collectibles was poxy frustrating I’ve ever had to do but you know what it was the most satisfying when I done it. Apart from 3 I could do but have decided not too after 4 Of the achievements haven’t popped.

Im playing Immortals now cuz of gamepass and I like it. Nothing fancy or amazing just entertaining and good world building. I also like the characters and Jak seems like a chill guy

Rocksteady went from faithful to the lore to totally abandoning it to shoehorn it into the live service model. That hurts, esp for those who have played the trilogy

If they managed a couple plot twists and replay-ability this is easily GOTY. It is also heavily borrowing from Nier Automata so may be they borrowed or re-invented some surprising story elements…. The demo shows they have crossed the chasm of mediocrity with flares. Solid 60fps. Amazingly responsive and fun combat system in my opinion harder than souls games and for sure much faster. More than nice graphics. Seemingly good story line with expectation for serious character development. Kudos to the studio. Well done!

Lol of course the game is more than just the attractive characters. Your expectations come from social media pervy focus on the (ass)ets not what the game developers tried to sell in the state of play break down video. Hardly anyone wanted to talk about the game in detail, just the sexy outfits. Also trying to be above all this with "for those that like it" while clearly yourself doing close ups of EVE's chest from almost every angle I might add lol that's pervy shit bro just admit you like it too😜 lets hope this sells really well for Shift UP so they can continue making these type of refreshing action games.

The parry window/timing is gonna make or break the combat for this game. From what's in the demo, it feels pretty good.

Game was FAR more thoughtful than I was expecting, even nitpicks like holding down a button to pick things up can be remedied in the menu, just turn auto pickup on. If anyone has any niggling complaints about the game I strongly reccomend you scan through the options menu, there might be a toggle to fixes your problem.

I loved the demo! The gameplay is awesome, the characters are interesting and the world built around them is breathtaking! It will probably be my game of the year!

This is the best review I've seen. I was also thinking it's just going to be a hot character game with a shallow combat system. It's not at all like that, they really took the time to design it properly and from the demo seems like they achieved a sweet spot between souls like and a hack n slash.

The devs horniness motivated them to make this a great game

The game does not hold your hand i will admit, Red is there is a series of combo coming, Yellow you can parry or perfect dodge, Blue is blink you learn that one and purple is a fatal attach so you need to prefect dodge back wards. I had a lot of issues with the stalker because myself did not understand the color and since he is much harder to fight then Abandon. I hope the full game actually teaches us all those things. I am a casual gamer i completed the demo 6 times up to date did it on normal and story mode, yes the game is a challenge there is a learning curve but today i i did another run and i almost lost no health. I had a very hard time beating the stalker boss challenge, he was something else but that was on normal mode and i beat him. Shift up said that the game would also be for casual gamers its not out yet they said there would be more difficulty level to chose from, I know a lot of casual gamer found the demo hard and some even did not complete it. So any casual gamer out there need to understand that this game is not hack and slash and there is a learning curve perfect parry dodge think about zelda breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom. I just pre ordered the deluxe edition and i honestly can't wait to play the full game i love the demo and after a few tries i can now beat abandon on story mode pretty easy, lets just hope that story mode stays that way the rest of the game. For the music its done by the same people who did the Nier Automata soundtrack so you know its going to be good and maybe even better.

Do be honest I love this demo it’s a little challenging but that’s ok can’t wait till release
