A Review of Clone Drone in the Danger Zone! (But I haven't slept enough)
I've been interested in talking about Clone Drone in the Danger Zone for many years now.
I used to watch people like Blitz play it several years ago and didn't realize that I could actually buy and play the game until recently when I saw it on sale.
This video is a recap of my experience with the game which includes some footage of me playing it with my friends.
I wanted to get this review done by the end of the year because the longer it takes between uploading a video the more difficult it becomes to upload something new.
Hopefully I'll be able to make more videos next year and enjoy the holidays!
I will be working towards some new projects for the next year.
Adios 🍞

Today I wanted to look back on my 10 most recent videos to tell you how I feel about them with some fun facts or jokes along the way! I edited all of this in 2 days and while that doesn't sound very impressive I spent 12 hours a day on this and it was rather painful. My favorite video is the chess one, check it out. Now. My Love for Europe's most Endangered Language, Livonian!
Переглядів 19 тис.11 місяців тому
After the video about Listenbourg from last summer I decided to look further into the story of the Livonians and what I found was so fascinating that I felt like I had to share its story. Livonian is one of the most endangered languages in Europe yet with the support from several language organizations it manages to not only survive but also thrive. This small language located in Latvia has man...

The white king gains information that team black is about to declare war so he decides on a preemptive strike but maybe things aren't quite as they seem. I originally planned this video as a quick one while I was working on a fun new series for next year but it kind of evolved into a large project of its own. My favorite scene is the post credits one, that turned out exactly how I wanted it to....
A Mandatory Halloween Video

It's Halloween again! ah. One year since the first Mandatory Halloween video released... Time surely has flown past. I spent 2 months this year working on this video compared to 1 month from last year and I think I can confidently state that I don't want to do that much motion tracking again it was fun to learn but very... VERY tedious to actually do. The end result is alright though, definitel...

Listenbourg, truly one of the most unique nations on the peninsula of Europe. I've always wanted to go on a vacation there someday. I tried to make this video in the style of @OverlySarcasticProductions and I feel like the maps do looks very similar but the drawings they use in their videos are so good I couldn't make my own version of them without it looking horrible. The little jingle for the intro is a little bit of an obscure reference, but I'll say cheers to that. In this triannual Driesipops video presented in the style of an old Game Theory video, I delve into the complex personality of Brian David Gilbert in an attempt to unravel his mind and discover the secrets of his amazing music video "Welcome to the neighborhood". Your Papers, Please.

I know that Papers Please is a rather old game, much older than it's revolutionary counterparts like Undertale or even the FNAF franchise but even with its age, I feel like it's still a worthwhile experience to make a review about. Something I just learned from searching is that fnaf 1 actually released 1 year later on the exact same date (august 8th '13 & '14) as papers please which... just pr...

My recent ancestors came to the United States from Listenbourg back in the early 1910s. They struggled to get by in this country having only been able to speak Listenbourgish, but my great-great grandfather Oasgearndöfn found a good living as a peanut farmer. Now sadly my family feels entirely cut off from our Listenbourgish roots ever since the tragic passing of my great aunt Schleisdolskjar, the last one of us whom spoke Listenbourgish. Thank you so much for this video bringing attention to the home of my ancestors. I’m always thankful to learn everything I can so I can feel closer to them.
Oh, so wrong
Thank you for youre constructive criticism
As someone with experience in Estonian, some things are very similar!
I hope smaller languages like this get more attention I have an affinity and solidarity with the people of languages like this Please make more videos like this on other languages Or more things about the Frisian languages or Livonian Alone we can only accomplish so much but if we can raise awareness and coordinate our efforts towards revitalizing these languages We will be successful
I wont spoil too much but I have 2-3 minority language videos that I'm working on for 2025 so stay tuned!
@DriesipopsWill do 💪🫡
Fun fact: In Scandinavia Listenbourg is mostly still called by the wiking name. = What it was called in Scandinavia at the time after wiking settlements/occupation. In danish it is: Udlandet. Which translates to something like "the outer boarders". I'm not completly sure of the exact name in Swedish and Norweigian, but I know the meaning of it, is the same thing. We do also use Listenbourg, but officially it's actually still the old wiking name "Udlandet", we use 😊 Just bonus info for anyone who would find that interesting! 😄😊 Thanks for this video! Very educational!! 👍👍🎉❤
2:51 As a latvietis I apretiate less as the latviešu part isnt good. Id say: Vai tu proti angļu valodu? Jā. Cik bieži tu nāc uz šo vietu? Nē. Vai tu vēlētos dejot ar mani? Liec mani mierā! Lūdzu Ej prom Es tevi mīlu Beidz Man tevis pietrūkst Palīgā Mans lidojošais kuģis ir pilns ar zušiem. Zvaniet policijai! You see, I think youve made the cardinal sin of translation and done it word by word rather than sentence by sentence, big picture in mind. Should have asked a native speaker.
Latviešu nation is made of 5 tribes. Latgaļu, zemgaļu, krušu, sēļu and līvu. Latviešu languages always stressing the first silible is a livonian feature, our more common word for house is livonian māja rather than baltic nams. Livonians are as much latvieši as any of the 4 baltic tribes.

@Driesipops at 11:43 if you're uncomfortable asking the person you're talking to if *they* speak Frisian, then ask them "do you know anyone that speaks Frisian?" and if they themselves do, I'm sure they'll be glad to point that out
4:09 the other East Frisians thought they needed more land to survive, but what they really needed was... moorland better format?

Livonians died when they sided with the Teutonic knights who where crusading baltics to take over other finnic tribes, their king perished in the fight and the Germans didnt care of them after the fact.
didnt the last native speaker die like few years ago?
funny thing is the consequence of a country like this doing so much intervation in portugal would have far more consequences to the world. actully portugal would not exist at all lol. since they basically come from the north where gallicia is. and in this map this is lintenburg ethenically territory.
Here from Frisian. You cannot escape your past.
These videos are still up as an omage to my past :) I will be releasing a new cringy cover in one of my next language videos too!
Tēriņtš! Technically Livonian (or Livish) is a demised language already in the course of the first half of the 20th century, but the heritage goes on - as shown by today's culture creating Latvians (with or without direct Livish ancestry) like this folk sing/dance group from the Eastern Baltic shore (where my grandma - presumably of Livish descent also came from): ua-cam.com/video/2wYY1fGw72o/v-deo.html
I've been there is so good
Latvian language is greatly influenced by Livonian, here is a list of Livonian loan words still used by Latvian +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | Latvian | Livonian | Estonian | English | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | sēne | sēņ | seene | mushroom | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | allaž | alz | alati | always | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | kaija | kajāgõz | kajakad | seagul | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | kāzas | kōzgõnd | pulmad | wedding | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | laulāt | lōlatõ | laulatada | to marry | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | ķepa | käpā | käpp | paw | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | ķīsis | kīš | kiisk | Ruffe (fish) | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | liedags | līedõg | plaaž | beach | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | loms | lūom | loomus | catch/prey/booty (usually of fish) | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | maksa | maks | maks | payment | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | muiža | mȯizõ | mõis | manor house | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | nūja | nui | kepp | stick/cudgel | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | paisums | paizõm | looded | tide | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | puika | pȯis | poiss | boy | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | puķe | puţk | lill | flower | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | tērauds | tierōda | teras | steel | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | vajadzēt | vajag | vajama | to need | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | vimba | vīmba | vimb | Vimba vimba (fish) | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+ | laiva | lǭja | laev | boat | +----------+----------+------------+------------------------------------+
Thank you! I'll go ahead and copy+paste that in the folder for my next Livonian video... Do you perchance know if the word "laughter" in Latvian is also borrowed from Livonian?
As far as I understand the death sentence for livonian language was ultimately the fact that under Soviet control the livonian coast was a border zone, the iron curtain against the west, where people were not free to live normally.
13:10 The automatic translation gives 'Here I am, you are again'. I'm pretty sure 'wer bisto' means' 'where are you'.
It's because they didn't add the circumflex accent (^) which changes the sound of the vowel. In the song, they say wêr bisto, in which ê is a long e sound /ɛ:/. In the text it says wer bisto, which would be pronounced as a short e sound /ɛ/. "Wêr bisto" means where are you (literally: where are you). "Wer bisto" means you are again (literally: again are you). So it's due to a spelling error, google translate was not wrong in translating it that way.
Strukelje would translate to Tripping/falling over. You pronounced it wrong btw. And your pronounciation for the CITY Hylpen and VILLAGE Molkwerum (should be Molkwar even in Frisian) are simply put horrible. Hylpen is 1 of the 11 cities in the province, it's not a village even if it's size is rather small. And yes, locally we call it "little Germany" as every summer it floods with German tourists. The Frisian language is fairly limited because it was banned by the Hollanders until fairly recently, the Frisians had to fight to keep their language and not be discriminated against. This is also why today the language is still limited and even to this day discriminated against. You however should just ask, Frisians are not scared of anyone asking about it. Do note that every city/town has it's own dialect on Frisian but the bigger places like Leeuwarden and Harlingen for example generally speak more Dutch. And to make it funnier for you, Drents is a Frisian dialect, even if they hate you even saying that but it's true. You can speak Frisian in Drenthe and they should be able to understand most of it.
Hey make videos playing Minecraft on Livonian
I always love when people from outside Latvia can talk about it and learn about our nation Thanks!
Thank you for your important video, Driesipops.
Why do you think child being the only native speaker of language to be sensationalized or tragic?
There are doubts in regards to the fact that the parents not being fluent in Livonian might be hampering brain development because the child isn't able to learn a bigger vocabulary or sentence structure from their parents which depending on how the child is being treated might in the most tragic case make their life severely more difficult by (for example) making their social development with other children far more difficult. I hope it is sensationalized news because the alternative is very worrying to me
@@Driesipops What makes you think her parents are not fluent in Livonian ?
I read about it somewhere back when I was working on this video
@@Driesipops Well father of Kuldi is Livonian language researcher, and Livonian and Finnish language private tutor. The misconception might be caused by the textbook they wrote "Kūldaläpš" the textbook designed to learn the Livonian language together with a child. It is not ABOUT learning the language, it is meant FOR learning the language. Even reading about this in Latvian it is somewhat easy to misunderstand what the purpose of the book is.
Thanks for informing me!!
Good video brother, your channel's about to go boom with this video I like the humour in this
Was that a bomb threat? 💣💥💥💥
@@Driesipops Hahahaha
What bad experiences have you had with English and French if I may ask?
Do they have oil?
Luckily not enough to attract the attention of any foreign governments
Olive oil only (in the south)
Man, these videos are full autism yo. That's probably why I enjoy them so much xD
I love all the uralic languages, im a finn, not a pro at linguistics, but i also speak ingrian (tought by my grandma) a little bit of torneo saame (by other grandma) main dialects i speak are north bothnian and savonian, and lived in Turku so that dialect is known also, most my life in Helsinki, slang comes in too. Estonian is just as complex, livonian is a missing link with Saaremaa dialect
Haven't finished the video yet but had to pause after the "it's banking" joke to give a like and subscribe. Was thinking of going to the city museum today, but was not expecting it to be on a youtube video haha
Goated video
I'm looking forward to taking a course of Livonian in the spring!
