This episode covers letters N through to S, featuring most of the big bands that I rank among my favourites as well as some artists I love though I may not give a lot of credit like Neil Young. #cdcollection #cdcommunity #musiccommunity #vinylcommunity #vc

Mario Venditti - It Will Never Be The Same (original)
Переглядів 2694 місяці тому
The first full original song I've posted since 2015 which frankly is far too long ago. Let me know your thoughts on this though all feedback is appreciated massively.
Coldplay - Sparks (cover)
Переглядів 3665 місяців тому
One of my favourite songs to cover and play on guitar clearly. I also have intentions to redo *MOST* of the covers I done from 2020-2021 in this style as I think it sounds a lot better and was the intention I had from all the way back then. Just like GTA 5 got released 3 times, I will now cover this for the third time so consider this as the definitive edition.
Mojave 3 - After All (cover)
Переглядів 986 місяців тому
A very true to the original version of After All by Mojave 3. Been a big fan of this song and the album since I heard it so I wanted to do my own version of it at least. #vinylcommunity #vc #coverversion #coversong #Slowdive #Mojave3

A video I have wanted to make for way too long but never found the right time to do so. This is my first part of my collection videos which will likely be 3-4 parts long. This part covers letters A-E in my collection. RYM - rateyourmusic.com/~mariov33 Letterboxd - letterboxd.com/mariov33/ Last.fm - www.last.fm/user/mariov33

Like I said, I saw @andysalbums video alongside a good few others which encouraged me to make this video especially off the back of my previous one. I've talked about a lot of these albums before so I will be becoming a broken record but I guess that proves that they are a big deal to me still. As always if anyone has any video ideas for me to try then let me know. #vinylcommunity #musiccommuni...

I tell a bunch of pretty personal anecdotes in this video so you better like it! I enjoyed making it I just wish I had more time to work on it as I found out about this 2 days ago and simply didn't spend an awful lot of time thinking about it like I could've. I was gonna make this video as well as others back in December but clearly that didn't happen so here I am nearly 3 months later doing past me a favour. Whether I do this every year or not I don't know quite yet but I intend to do this for collection videos if I find there is a significant change too.

So last Saturday my brother had a gig that I attended with him, even did a wee bit of "sound engineering" ie looking at a soundboard for 20 minutes. It was a great day though and I found some CDs I was hunting for which is what this video is all about so hopefully you enjoy this. Also a couple things are different for this video. I'm using CapCut as well as actually using a mic other than my ph...

U2& WE? AMOR MUNDI is in progress. Thanks for sharing this video but for me this is bullshit. Sorry for the way of communication. Every U2-album is made with the most intense and the handicap s of this 4 man who are my heroes for all time. Musically not the best, but with the crew in the studio and than the live tour make them number One. To reach the top of the mountain you have to make difficult choices. My heart stand still on 21-9-2003 and than in 2004, How to dismantle An Atomic BoBm came out. My brain injury made me feel complete again by the son g: Miracle Drug that saved my live. From than, I clean the cd-disc and I saw the inscription of Bono: Miss You Sugar! Since then my new nickname is: The Vertigo Hunter (Miss You Sugar). .. … 14:40. Love, light and wisdom for the whole U2-Family Tree:” We? are Pelgrims on our way to: VERTIGO or not Go! Detlev Lassche, UNderground Oldenzaal town.
Pop omg top 5 of theirs
Omg my favorite is songs of experience .what is wrong with u2’fans what you can’t leave behind is great also . How to dismantle an atomic bomb is number 3 it goes with POP well. Do you not get POP and HTDAB . No not zoorupa next are all u2 fans just mainstream. Holy fudge my top 5 is your worst lol omg listen to it really listen
@@danielhilton7623 what makes you think I haven’t “really listened” to the lower albums on this list? Most of them I actually like. You clearly haven’t “really listened” to what I said in the video.
5 Worst albums are Brst Charli XCX, Bloom Imagine Dragons, Coup De Grace Eminem, Memphis Justin Timberlake, and Y2K Ice Spice. 5 best albums Radical Optimism Dua Lipa, Hit Me Hard and Soft Billie Eilish, Eternal Sunrise Ariana Grande, Beyoncé Cowboy Carter, and Short N Sweet Sabrina Faepenter(even though it releases next week 8/23/2) that’s January-August 2024. 2/2rds this year.
@@danblair1591 Agreed on the Eminem album, heard it a couple weeks ago and did not like it. Haven’t listened to Brat yet but it seems to be receiving high praise although from what I heard I didn’t think very highly of it. I wouldn’t even touch an imagine Dragons album frankly. I’m curious about the new Sabrina Carpenter album when it releases I hope it’s good.
Well done for not putting The Joshua Tree at number 1, outside of With Or Without You I've never really been able to see what all the fuss is about with that album!! War is epic and deserves to be top, but I really like Pop and don't understand why it's hated so much!!
'Walk on The Wild Side'' is a great favorite song for Pride Month that's all I gotta say :) Im surprised you didn't mention it!
I didn’t even think about that tbh but I’m glad it’s beloved for that too☺️ excellent song
@@SomeoneElsesNostalgia Yeah I love it so much ^^ Crazy to think he wrote that around the time he did. A true progressive in every sense
You have to listen to the new Arab Strap! It’s sonically great and so entertaining. Agreed about Nadine Shah.
@@jebmccandless6122Thanks for the comment! The Turning of Our Bones is the only recent Arab Strap song I know and I do love it in fairness so I probably will get around to the new stuff in time.
The first thing I done when I passed my driving test was drive to Asda and buy that Pulp Fiction soundtrack and Queen Greatest hits 2 hahah! Also I still have OK Computer, forgot I had it til last week lol
I hope to replicate this somehow when I eventually pass my test😂
So many Fantastic albums dude! would love to see you talk more in depth about a lot of these albums! Kid A will always have a special spot in my heart constantly changes between OK Computer and Kid A as my fave Radiohead album! If you want a sick Red Hot Chili Peppers check out stadium arcadium easily my fave album of theirs!
I plan to do that eventually, there are some specific ones that are a bit less well known I’d like to do though since a lot of people know the likes of Radiohead or The Smiths
cOoL ✌️😎🙏🏿
Really enjoyed your song - well done
Thank you Bill!
You all can still turn to Someone Else's Nostalgia, if you have not, Someone Else's Nostalgia bless you all!
you all can still turn to Christ if u have not God bless u all
tremendous as usual brother 💪
Cheers bro👌
👍
👌👌👌👏
I am shocked Zooropa is so low in your list. This would be in my top 5.
It’s not low because I think it’s bad, I just think they have a lot of better albums. Zooropa, Numb and Stay are all among the best U2 tracks ever though.
Highway 61 is my fav Dylan, influenced alot of the folk/rock I love :)
I thought it would be, highway 61 is fantastic
Why?
You ever listened to Crowded House? My recommendation albums by them is “Woodface and Together Alone” Probably the only band that come close to The Beatles in terms of melody and songwriting ability.
I’ve listened to a couple of their more popular songs but never done a deep dive on them in any sense of the word. I’ll give them a listen though, thank you for the recommendation!
Couple of good ones in there, Sgt Pepper and War, I loved U2 when I was about 17 to 20, the Bono became a knobhead and I haven’t listened to them since, but War, October, Boy and Unforgettable Fire were brilliant
Thanks for the comment! I agree, early U2 is the golden era even for me despite enjoying a lot of stuff between the 90s - early 10s.
Rock Albums = hands down my favorite! 🎶 🎵
I’m glad you agree Chai!
Love that you got Neutral Milk Hotel! fantastic album! I got the vinyl for it last week! absolutely agree 10/10
Nice one! You definitely need to make a video about some of your vinyl one day it would be killer.
@@SomeoneElsesNostalgia Absolutely I think im probably gonna do a vid about my fave albums I own and probably talk about vinyl I want to get in the future
@@VESS3L. dew it
Cool CDs you got. Nice to see Unknown Pleasures, that's become one of my favorite albums of all time!!! 😁
Agreed, Unknown Pleasures is great.
Never been able to get into Joy Division for some reason. Gave that album in particular a few listens and it never clicked for me, even though I liked it 🙁
I think I prefer the Joy Division era to the New Order era. My favourite New Order album is probably Movement because it sounds like Joy Division still.
red house painters is a great pick
Thank you! Their music is just bang on the money for what I wanted to hear at that moment in time.
come on you gunnersssssss
Found your channel though the Jacob Martin contest. Subscribed!
Thank you! I believe I’ve seen your channel through Bryers posts before. I appreciate you being here.
interesting video, thanks. My quick top-5: Jane's Addiction - Ritual de lo habitual, Pearl Jam - Ten, Boards of Canada - Geogaddi, Air - 10,000hz Legend, Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill
Thank you! I don’t think I’ve listened to any of these although I have heard of a few. Thank you for the comment though I appreciate it!
Didn't realise that Sigur Ros was as old as that! Thought that album was about 2008-09 lmao
I didn’t know them before I listened to it to be fair so I guess it wasn’t a surprise to me. Think it’s a wonderful album though.
Always love hearing you talk about music! your passion is always so infectious! I was actually thinking of making a video similar to this lol
Thank you! And you absolutely should man I’d be slurping those videos up for breakfast if you made them.
Love hearing him talk? I was asleep in the first minute.
@@61spindriftmaybe should stay asleep bro make the world that bit better
@@davidanderson6511 Ouch David! I am betting other would agree with me but, to each his own.
This is the link to the playlist of these songs: open.spotify.com/playlist/2UDdJqKUORJNkDBSTq941m?si=c3caad30a7f14bbb You can find my playlist journey of the past 4 years on my Spotify account too.
Awesome that you entered the contest last minute! Out of all the entries, you have the most diverse catalogue, and I'm excited to listen to the songs I'm not as familiar with.
Thank you! I really liked the idea when I saw it so I knew I had to try and get something out for it. Sadly there are many many songs that are still missing but I feel like this still works for me. Also, I’ve been working on the diversity for a few years now as when I was in college I felt I lacked it massively but I think it’s a lot better now.
Great that you entered the contest! Very cool selection and great reasonings to them. Good luck! 😁
I saw yours and I knew I had to since it was a really cool idea so if anything, thank you😂
You look amazing! I enjoyed watching this.
Thank you Chai! I appreciate the compliment ☺️
A lot of great picks.
Love this one ☝️
Thank you!
A very enjoyable selection, Scott 4 is a great album though at the time not many people bought it….👍
Thank you for the comment! I think Scott Walkers music is great so it's sad that he maybe went a bit under-appreciated. I feel that way about Nick Drake who is adored by many but was heavily critiqued in his time.
A wee top 5/10 post Beatles Solo ranking would be cool!
I’ll probably do that eventually once I’ve listened to a few more of them. Most of them will end up being McCartney probably 😂
This is awesome!! Much love my bro!!
Thanks Angel! Much love my man!
My comfy videos! Keep it up Mario! Loved seeing Paramore! And I also need to peep that Paul Macartney album fr
Thank you Hugz! And definitely seek it out if you have the time. I still prefer Band on the Run but RAM is considered as his best by many.
A great tag and fun. Loved your picks and loved doing mine...
Well done guys - I don’t have any Radiohead in my collection although I’m familiar with some songs on OK Computer. You have a good singing voice. Great mix of electric guitar and acoustic- Cheers Bill
Excellent- really enjoyed your guitar playing - Cheers Bill from Aberdeen (but don’t hold that against me)😊
Hi ! - Happy New Year to you. Welcome to the Vinyl Community. Enjoyed your Tag 24 video. Amy Winehouse was a good choice but you need to get some Stevie Wonder or Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going on. Where in Scotland are you based? As a fellow Scot it’s great to hear your accent. When I do a thread response I often have to show CDs. I love Rattle and Hum. When Love comes to Town is an all time favourite. I must listen to your guitar playing videos. Cheers Bill
Hi Bill! Thank you for the lovely comment and you’re absolutely right I still need to listen to What’s Going On, there’s just too much music to get through! I’m based around Lanark but I’ve lived 95% of my life in the middle of Glasgow. How about yourself? Also I would love to hear what you think of the guitar videos, feedback is always appreciated negative or not.
Outstanding fellas
Thanks mate!
hell yeah
Thank you!
I love your voice so much!
I love yours thoughhh when’s the duet happening?
Love this!! ❤
That’s good shit bro keep it up! 👍
Thank you!
