Considering that you can have multiple fence perimeters can you set a different warning to each one? Ex. in the current demo you have 2 warnings before the correction shock. Can you make a few more layers of extended perimeters so that the static shock consistently increases in outside each one? If you train your dog then wouldnt there be no reason not to apply the most severe shock if they are far outside the initial zones? Theoretically they should never end up there anyway so why not set it all the way to maximum at an appropirate range?

I watched your other review of Petplate vs. Farmers' dog. In this review, you said Petplate looks a bit mushy...but Farmers Dog look mushy too!

I've had the latest FI for a year and half. It's a last resort. As far as real time, it sucks. There is way too much lag in the live tracking. If there are roads near your house and your dog is a runner, then you might find your dog dead before the device works. FI and the Whistle should have HUGE disclaimers on the top of their website pages warning owners.

You should mention that this collar is ONLY available in the USA.

I’m using farmer’s dog for my lab and I’m noticing his stools are very dry. Has anybody noticed that?

I have used this same one for probably 4 years or so. I watched the video for a refresh because my dog got out once again. Adult Catahoula with plenty of room to run. But she constantly tests the boundary and waits for the day the battery is dead and then makes the escape for a few hours. So if you have a stubborn dog, I strongly recommend you set a battery changing schedule. Learn from my repeated mistakes 😂.

Why are you going by smell?! I would prefer to know which is more nutritional rather than what they smell like and a tip: cut your coffee intake by half!

That’s awesome that you made this video. I’m going to try it in myself too but maybe I won’t go over 5😹 thanks for being the Guinea pig!! I hate shock collars in general but after watching my livestock and dogs and coyotes respect my electric netting fences, I’m hoping this collar will only have to teach the dogs once. They really respect electric fences. And I get shocked by my electric gene es almost every day… it’s takes ver little in the way of volts to make a point.

They sold me an expensive collar and then doubled the base price of the subscription a year later because they’ve “improved accuracy” - a total bait and switch if you ask me. This is not a way to do business.

Does anyone know of either of these collars work in Australia?

We have been using the Spot On collar for 3 years now and LOVE it. We upgraded to their newest collar and are enjoying the improvements. I especially love the mapping abilities of the app. It allows our high energy dog to safely run on our 6 acres, without bothering the neighbors. We have had to contact customer service several times and their customer service is stellar. They also keep improving their collar and app. We are very happy customers.

Thank you for this! Our mini dachshund has been on Nom Nom for about six weeks now and she absolutely loves it!! It's funny because I watched a UA-cam video of a girl who did a taste test with her dog on Nom Nom, the Farmers Dog and accompany named, Ollie. Her dog chose Nom Nom every time. I think it's really really cool that you tasted the food yourself to give your opinion but maybe dogs taste differently. Maybe what tastes worse to us, tastes better to them, lol🤷‍♀️ either way, I'd rather let my dog decide which food tastes best..

hey how does this company do with training? i went to get this but dont trust it over a physical fence

Just returned the Halo Collar 3. My dog took off way past the boundary to go after my neighbors dog as they walked past our home. The boundary and alerts are way too inconsistent.Even set at 15, my dogs pray drove us do strong that getting zapped does not bother her at all.
