This is the best video. Much thank you!
To all the plasterers i have a question....... Can I use a thick mix of multi finish to patch a small lath bay ceiling? Thank you for any answers
Could you use a 6ft level in a small area??
I used golden rapid set mortar and I’m wondering how long before I can plaster over it I planned on giving it 48 hrs to fully dry out Although it’s supposed to harden in 20mins which it did but it still appears dark in places so it clearly still has some moisture in there
What is the working time for a 'dry' screed before it goes off and can no longer be worked?
Poor reel not enough info
Shame it doesn't show the actual process. Pointless not seeing how to created each stage.
how to screed for epoxy
i thought i was the only one who dont wear mask
Can I ask what machine is it you’re using? And lovely job lads!
Working at hight regs says go straight to jail . Don’t collect 200£ if you pass go
genuinely, is it doable for a novice to do this do an adequate standard? I'm so tempted given the quotes I've gotten back to hire professionals. I've got a 5 x 5m garage I'm converting to an office and you made it look fairly straightforward! Not easy, but straightforward..... any pitfalls to avoid?
Yes I just screeded my kitchen, never done it before. Main tip is don't make the mix to wet or it will be a nightmare. Get a cement mixer also. Always can use a self leveling compound afterwards.
What was name of the metal lengths used to level the wall ' Ivle ? Is this silicone render? Can you do the same with sand/cement Thanks !
How long to go off? Thx
Great vid. I have to do same. Much smaller area tho. WHAT WAS THE MIX RATIO? thx.
Hi I need to patch a bit of render what sand is best to use and it’s in red hot sun shine all day have you any video that would help please
Thanks. Nice video. Can you mix small stones (aggregate 1/2- 3/4 inch) in the screed? Do you mix any glue/ polymer / sbr latex. Do you apply any glue polymer on surface? I have to screed my roof terrace.
Is that finished ?
A few questions on your great video... (1) What mix did you use for the base and final coat? (2) What sealer did you use for the brick work after you had taken the old render off? and (3) how did you secure the edge beads to the chimney stack? Many thanks
what is the straight bar you are using here please? can you post a link to something similar? also do you use expansion foam round the edges? great video, thanks.
i had same question about expansion foam around edges....?
great video. I am Left with so many questions though.
What a great way to gain a back pain
I hope this was ur own house 🤣
Level by eye not by laser 😂
Looking for some advice. I have a no fines poured concrete house. At the back it has very old render and pebble dash. We replaced windows and around bottom one a load of render just came away and they needed to fill in the gaps with a tonne of silcone to be able to finish the job. And now its happening around back door. Ita old and starting to catch at the bottom so all the banging and yanking it open is making render come off. Ideally want ewi and new render but thats too pricey atm. The renderer i spoke to said cant be repaired and need take it all off and put new on and cant patch it up as will keep any damp thats got in. Dont think he tap tested it for how hollow it is. You think it can be patched up? Dont wanna be sucked into a more pricey job if dont need to something to stop water getting in
How long does this take to fully dry
Do you need the lime?
Great video - thank you!! I have two questions: what would be the minimum thickness of screed that one could apply to a job? And second, how long did the job take - how do you stop the mix from drying out before you have finished screeding? Thanks a lot!!
I did a couple of inches yesterday and it dried well. Now I need to put down a damp course and top it up to the level I need. If it is DIY I would just manually make a little at a time, let it dry and make some more.
Proper job , looks great!
thanks for the guide👍
I want to plaster the walls in my room, should maje the walls wet before plastering?
Useless video
Nice
Thank you 💪
😂Brilliant!!!
What rule are you using high and width?
Lovely job. Is it the same product for scratch and top coat?
It certainly is and thank you very much indeed 👍
Nice work, what product are you using?
Thank you 👍 It’s a lime render from EWI (EWI-747 is the name of the product)
@@plasteringguru572 thank you
Is it a sand cement scratch coat
It’s the same natural lime pre bagged render for both coats 👍
Hi - where are you based?
Sunny Surrey 😂
@@plasteringguru572 A bit too far then from Leicestershire. Great work and a great channel.

Hi, can you tell me how do you ensure that you’re not taking off the top off your levels with your rule that you’ve done around the perimeter ? Or do you let them set for a while?

OK if you can use ready-mixed. I am mixing by hand had to do 50sq/m over 5 days split between 4 or 5 areas
😅what a day! That was quite a downpour of rain. Fantastic clear up 👍🏼
loads of edges showing, bet that was hand applied ? very poor finish
left way too long mate, too hard

There is not enough detail here for a newbie. We need EVERYTHING broken down into step by step, with images of which product to buy, which tool to use, etc.... your audience are here to learn because they don't know.... so assume they don't know anything. Bonding agent, float etc, these are things unfamiliar to others who don't render. 😂
Can do you a video that shows plastering a wall after you’ve removed wallpaper? (I.e. there’s rough/damaged plaster behind)
