Did you happen to notice that Pau is playing one-handed at the beginning of the song; she was adjusting her in-ears, I think. Her left hand goes behind her for about 6 seconds. Thought I'd point that out to reinforce how talented these ladies are. Love your reactions. #TWA

Special was my introduction into Mew. Back in the day, a buddy of mine put this up as the song that played on his MySpace (yeah we're talking at least 15 years ago lol) and I was hooked. Sexy guitar riff, hard percussion, and as you said just overall "understated" sound. The only thing with Mew for me is, yes, Jonas has a great voice, but sometimes it feels like the instrument work came beforehand, and the vocals seem to be intergrated later in somewhat of an obscured or forced manner. That is probably a wildly unpopular opinion, so take it easy on me. At the end of the day I still love Mew, and this song was gem on my iPod and still one of my tops on Spotify. ❤

The songs already released earlier in the year are just Band-Maid awesomesauce! The six new songs are so tightly integrated and complex, it's going to take a Tokyo minute to assimilate. But I already love Forbidden Tale, and especially The One. 😉🤘 btw - We should all wish a "Good Luck" to Band-Maid's new self-run management company: Maidit, Co., LTD! Will they managing other bands, boost Cluppo and Maiko projects, or tour more internationally? Or maybe they will expand their business interest to other sectors of the music biz outside of Band-Maid. I believe Kanami wants to get more into composing, scoring and production. And as for Miku and Saiki, the sky's the limit for what they'll want to do in merch, fashion and art, etc.. Welcome back, Colin!

Well, in Japan, it's very common to go to a restaurant alone and eat alone. When Akane received this song, she felt it was a beautiful melody, so she decided not to do anything complicated with the drums so as not to interfere with the melody. Akane focused on keeping the rhythm in this song.

Great reaction and welcome back to Band-Maid. Forbidden Tale is off their recently released album "Epic Narratives". All the songs off the new album are great and for me Forbidden Tale is my favorite. It seems like 6 songs in one. Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid.

Good to have you back. One of the delights of this band is that each of them have input into their own part in the track. There are no show off moments or moments of look at me. Each part goes to serve the song. Akane as always is the back bone that drives the song forward. A delight to listen to. The repeat of the tracks never gets old or boring. Anyway great to hear your input and expertise. Band Maid are great value for your return.

Welcome back home, Master Drum Nerd! I really enjoyed this. After hearing Forbidden Tale about 200 times now, and hearing so many comment on the guitars, it was nice to focus on the Gorilla and hear your insights with all that lovely singing in the background. This reaction made me remember why I enjoyed Def Leppard so much in the 80s. Rick Allen and Akane have a gift for, like you said, introducing unexpected hits that are not overly complicated. Rick however would generally keep the same offbeat patterns throughout, but Akane seems to visit them one or two times, then reintroduce different offbeat patterns later.

Glad you’re back always one of the reactors that looked forward to seeing.

Should play some of the new tracks from the 'reformed 'Hagane' with Junna on the drums. They are simply phenomenal.

I went to a show and Haruna is tireless, she played for almost 2 hours at a frenetic pace and without shedding a drop of sweat🙌
