@@SomeGuysGarage it absolutely is. You can even see that some of the Stanley hand tools have a slightly darker yellow color and say DeWalt. Virtually identical. Probably also to compete with Milwaukee who have now really gone into hand tools.

Unfortunately I don't have a 794...but I have a couple of the atomic models in the mix there, the 794 is similar. If you haven't seen, I did some testing on these drills in other videos.

Would be interesting to see inside other furman models like yours...this version is clearly just a glorified rack mount power strip.

@@SomeGuysGarage tractor supply had them on discount one night 32 piece set regular 119 or close had um clearance 49.99. my local store was out about hour from me had them well one left. Called store sun morning 9 opening manager said let me look still had it he put it up. I called a buddy of mine about 10 minutes away from that store said go get these for me . And there in tool box still. 12 piece stubby 6 each m/inchand rest regular size 20 piece m/inch

They are made in China boxes (like most these days). For the build quality, price feels about right...it's a step up from the usual big box store stuff.

@SomeGuysGarage yikes for China 800 is way too much. Maybe at 600 would be better priced 🤔. I get the uniqueness for sure, good box for those that want to spend the coin.

Welcome! This layout is definitely an improvement over some of their previous models, it also full fits both metric/standard deep/shallow in all drive sizes which is nice. As a top box or service box on a truck or a impact specific workstation box or similar it makes a lot of sense.

5 years on my small shop box it holds more than boxes 10 inches wider for thr low end models you'll appreciate it overtime you open it.

They're a nice storage solution for that for sure :)

From what I understand the fuel system is the limitation. Buddy of mine who owns the vehicle has been working through iterations of a tune with a tuner and has made some serious gains, but is getting close the limits in the 300's.

I find the 7" and 10" most useful for what I tend to use them for. I could see the smaller ones for an EDC use though!

@@SomeGuysGarage yes, the bigger ones do grip better as they'll grip without squeezing by pressing the back of the handle unlike the small ones I have but the smaller ones do grip extremely well anything up to a water hose size and is a better grip than most these imitation channel locks people are given in many maintenance jobs. A 5" knipex cobra grips better than a 10" standard cheap channel lock plier. I do like the 7" better though probably but it depends on what you want to carry. They are all nice, slim, and light. Those leg pen pockets on work pants will carry the 7" very nicely and if that's all I wore I'd definitely go 7" but I also carry them with my wallet together in my front pocket with blue jeans.

Both, the bigger batteries (or powerstack ones) will provide more current which allows the impact to make more power/torque. Now you don't need the really big packs, the 5ah will do the job, but the 3ah and smaller won't perform quite as well. Can be 100ft-lbs or more difference on a DCF900 sort of impact, though I'd recommend a DCF891 if you're about to buy your first 1/2" impact. Hope that helps!

Definitely takes the plumbing down to a more diy level if you have the cash for one of these and much cheaper than a plumber. Now I just need to research the plumbing code for when we do the project 😅 Not rocket science I'm sure but will need to research a bit. Thought about doing copper but repiping this way seems way easier and I can use it on our addition when we do that as well 😎

@@videogamenut1289 definitely way easier. There's no reason to sweat copper anymore, use a sharkbite somewhere accessible to connect pex to existing copper and then just pex expansion the rest. If you haven't seen it, I have an entire series on finishing my basement, you'd probably enjoy it :)

XR used to stand for eXtended Runtime and they put it on their larger 4ah and 5ah battery packs. Now it's just their heavier duty line. These days though, you don't really need to pay attention to XR branding on the batteries, the cell arrangement is more important (or if it's pouch cell).

I am wondering in your opinion, which would you get and think is a better deal? Qty 4 - 3ah 20v max $149. or qty 2 - 5ah XR $129. Tx for your input. Will the non xr line batteries last as long lifewise? I’m also assuming both will fit in regular charger. Tx!

@@jlfa4720 lifetime should be about the same, more to do with charge cycles though so the higher capacity you might not charge as often and therefore get more time...but light use it won't matter. Chargers the same too. Anyway, definitely go with the 5ah option, those 3ah packs if they're the black ones (made after I did this video) are really low performance cells. The 5ah are the sweet spot of the 20v line up.
