The filtering look much bigger inside the radial. The big white and red choke on the main bord is simply not present in the Furman plus the wire between the outlet provide more curent that the pcb in the Furman.
@@erictourangeau3651 some good observations there...only thing that was hard to tell in the Furman is if there were more but smaller filtering, ie they filtered each outlet versus doing it all at once. Either way, neat to compare and the Radial cost less and has some extra features and is a Canadian brand, so all wins in my books.
the space is left for power 2 tray
Or more like, when they made the power-2 they're like, what can we do with all this empty space in the chassis? lol if you watch the linked Furman video, it's the same thing, big empty box.
Any clues on how to repair it? I connected mine to my car lighter port and i think it short circuited... I really like it and i dont want to waste money on buying a new one
@@aaronespinoza9910 warranty it...DeWalt is pretty good about that.
@SomeGuysGarage naaaww I bought it almost a year ago like in May of 2024 in a different state and I lost the receipt 🧾. Edit: and I just broke it less than a week ago... Bummer
@@aaronespinoza9910 Does it have a date of manufacture on it? They have a 3 year warranty and as long as it's less than 3 years old (which they haven't been out long enough to be over that) then they'd probably just send you a new one.
I always said "Nye-Pex" i guess that K isnt silent 😅
LOL yeah, I have a video on that too (it's short but good!): ua-cam.com/video/b2uudoU5r8Y/v-deo.html
lol nice I love it
Thanks! lol
This must have been posted before the new power pack batteries that have tabless cells
Yeah, the powerpack batteries weren't out at this point. I've been wanting to find a good deal on them and do an updated video, but they're still really expensive up here in Canada.
Is this foundation sealed or unsealed at the exterior? I’ve thought about doing this to my 1911 house but the unsealed exterior gives me concern that water might infiltrate and get trapped between the interior wall and the foam sheets to cause mold or other issues.
This is a modern home, so it has a sealed exterior foundation with membrane and dimple board and weeping tile and sump pump and the rest of it. I'd be hesitant to go with this approach on a house as old as that without dealing with the outside first....though that's probably a good idea regardless on how you finish it.
Try a 100 ur old house ..takes alot of time and patience.. New shit is easy .. great job, looks great 👍
Yeah, old homes take a lot of work to do modern building practices. Thanks none the less!
Full look inside the Furman power conditioner here: ua-cam.com/video/VqeOcD7zba4/v-deo.html
Also took a look in the new Radial Power-1 Conditioner, check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/gY4sjkNLIno/v-deo.html
Most power conditioners have coils and capacitors to filter, in part, the high frequency noise coming from the AC line. This is the cheapest I have see so far. This is the same thing as a power cord with multi plugs at the end !! Thanks for the video !! It is where the snake oil hit the road, right?
Yeah lol it's a glorified surge protector. Still serves a purpose but the conditioning is lacking.
🫡 Excellent is not accident 🫡
No sir!
Looks like a great room heater
LoL it's a lil toasty :)
Haha yeah. Those things are a great way to turn electricity into heat. Definitely not the most efficient way to light up a room though.
@TimCortesi not by a long shot lol but it's fun and there's plenty of normal led shop lights for most of the time
That's doing literally nothing, anything that's capable of filtering out noise in the audible spectrum weighs about 100lbs.
Yeah, might knock out some really high frequency (like above 50khz) noise in the lines, but nothing in the audible range. Though people claim this noise can impact digital circuits.
Is it normal to have a little bit of play in the handle when it's closed? I recently got a kompakt 26 and when I close the bit storage handle, it doesn't close tight, there is a little slop. I messaged wera but have not gotten a response yet.
I don't find there is any slop in the handle when mine is closed, closes up properly tight.
Thanks for identifying my problem but not providing a solution
Just replace the bolt? Chase them with a re-threading set?
I have one of these and it's excellent. Its not a direct replacement for a corded gun that needs to be on for a long time, but for portable heat it's amazing. I use mine for heat shrinking automotive connectors and shrink tube.
Yup, mine has been great for doing that :) small heating jobs, just so convenient.
Needed info and UA-cam gave me your video. It answered everything I needed to know and some extra stuff. I have been using dewalt tools for years and never knew it had a battery charge indicator till now 😳 great job.👍🏻

Yeah, both brands make solid tools, thanks for watching!
Lux doest nessesarily mean brighter
It entirely means brighter...at that distance at that spot. Lumens is output, lux is illumination.
Just got a set, beast ! I’m finding Knipex to be champion at hand tools in most cases
Yup, they make great stuff, haven't had a bad knipex product yet.
Was it mandatory to build 16in on center? Roxul makes r22 for 16in on center? If not, did you just throw out the cut off pieces or did you use them anywhere else?
Yes, Roxul makes R22 in 16 and 24 on center. There was basically no waste other than a few inches at the top since the walls here are 7'10" tall (ya, don't ask me why the builder didn't do 8' ceilings)....but I'd just use those little extra chunks to add more sound insulation in the ceiling.
😂 I was stuck for 30 mins I used a blowtorch and penetratring fluid. Didn’t budge. Tried this and worked instantly
It's hilarious how well it works, it shouldn't, but for some reason it does.
U got a link for this tool? Does it only come in 1/2" drive? - thanks

What kind of review is this?
What kind of comment is this?
You introduced two drill sets. As comparable as you can, so what do the other set of drills with more power, more expensive, fit as a comparison?.
@@michaelescalera8746 point of reference, so if you're wondering how the less expensive drills compare to more expensive ones...figured I'd throw in some other ones to add perspective.
@SomeGuysGarage First of all, I appreciate the response to my comments. Thank you for the clarification.
@@michaelescalera8746 Welcome, hopefully helpful :)
Good grief man, what did you torque those bolts to?
To their yield strength? :D
So what is the actual differs t in the be battery itself
Not sure I understand the question?
Wow, looks like snake oil.
Pretty close lol though it is a surge protector and has a tiny tiny bit of filtering.
Great Video, your correct about this handheld Style being the best Design. Great idea on the Lumens Test but, what is the Light Color Hue or Kelvin rating? 5,000 Kelvin is the best for Repairing things. Dewalt unfortunately is usually “ Johnny Come Lately “ I already bought an Aftermarket that was twice as bright as the old one and it has another Flash light style Lens on the End Cap with a Hanger hook. What is wrong with dewalt not getting these upgrades though of and out on the Market. Very, Very Frustrating. Your Amazon Link to purchase doesn’t say if it’s the Type 12 or Not ? Thanks 🙏 for your Time Spent.
They're definitely on the colder colour temp end of things, I'd guess probably 5000-6000k just by eye but have no way to measure accurately. And ya, it's sad that they're slow to market with some things. Amazon should be the Type 12 if you get shipped/sold by amazon. They are no longer distributing the old model anywhere.
There is no power draw from the battery if the battery is not attached to the tool. Therefore, it’s probably good practice to detach the battery when the tool is not required for use within a 20 to 30 minute window.
@@Fred_the_Head I wouldn't say 20-30 min...but more than a few days maybe. There's always some slight self discharge even disconnected though
After a day's work, you should detach the battery.
Dewalt is about to release a backpack, double battery blower?!?!?! OMG I can't wait
20v or 60v? Sounds interesting though :)
@@SomeGuysGarage60v x 2 on dewalt website

How many amp on the dual charger? Just wanted to know before I purchase the 6 amp
Not too sure, I don't have any of the dual chargers to check first hand.
I carry the Gerber Mullet, mainly due to the belt loop. Nice video, thanks.
Ahh, ya, I guess that is a handy part of it!
Just get the 20v don’t be cheap.
LoL watch some of my other videos...I have a TON of 20v Dewalt tools, including a dozen different drills and impact drivers.
I see this is a year old yet very informative. I recently made a couple of purchases that came with 2 DCB1104 chargers. They're 4 amp and also have 2 stage charging. So basically like the black 6 amp you've shown but only 4 amp. I was wondering your opinion on them.
The DCB1104 is the replacement for the DCB115....both 4 amp chargers but the 1104 has the newer 2 stage logic which should extend the life of the batteries slightly. I have a couple of the 1104's now and they would be my recommendation over the 115 today.
@@SomeGuysGarage Thank you sir !
DeWalt doesn’t publicly disclose a detailed, universal breakdown of their model numbering system, but here’s how model numbers like DWHTTR510 can be interpreted: 1. DW: A standard prefix for DeWalt products. 2. HT: Indicates the product category or type of tool. In this case, “HT” refers to a hand tool. 3. TR: Signifies a sub-category or specific feature set. Here, “TR” likely stands for a tacker or stapler. 4. 510: Represents the specific model within the sub-category. For DeWalt cordless tools, model numbers typically look something like DCN681B: 1. DC: Stands for DeWalt Cordless. 2. N: Indicates the product category or type of tool (e.g., nailer). 3. (No sub-category in this case.) 4. 681: The specific model within the category. 5. B: Indicates the tool is sold as a bare tool (no batteries or charger included).
@@mikeszyszka823 wow, this is the best breakdown I've ever seen of the model naming!
There's no getting around it, a real power conditioner is going to be around $600-2800 dollars.
Oddly specific range...but ya, if you want more conditioning (ie. voltage stabilization) you do need to spend way more.
No mention of what the XR is?
Used to stand for eXtended Runtime and they put it on their larger size packs, they did a rebrand this year and it's now used on the powerstack and powerpack batteries. Generally is there to indicate their higher performance stuff (both tools and batteries).
Had the info I needed. Thanks
Welcome :)
I do live in Canada too. It’s the worst country so far for vehicles, machinery, any metal equipment which are subjected to its weather. To the point that even inside your house, like door laches tools in bags, etc… they go rusty if you don’t treat them. I learned hard lesson by neglecting my vehicle and not rustproofing it, after some years, the jack points side of frame literally fell off like a sand. It was a big mess and finally the vehicle made its way to junk yard. It’s a big investment in a long run if you take care of your vehicle by rustproofing every year. It’s just a price of couple pack of beers anyways. You doing a great job here. Whether the vehicle is new or old, it needs to be protected from this awful humid/ street salt and it’s elements . I recommend to anyone reading this Not To Neglect you car like i did.
You're entirely right! Up here in Canada we get a lot of salted roads and lots of swings in temp/moisture/precipitation and things definitely rust if you don't take care of them.
