    Thank you for this review , I work at Home Depot and literally bought the Milwaukee one myself because I already have a saw from Milwaukee. I was a hit hesitant after seeing how good DeWALT drills were with their precision but after this video and testing out the Milwaukee kit I can say I’m content but still tempted to buy the DeWALT 😂

    • @SomeGuysGarage
      @SomeGuysGarage  Місяць тому +1

      Not a bad choice at all! As a Dewalt guy, I was quite impressed with the Milwaukee offering at this price point :)
      As always, they both have huge line ups of tools at different price points and capabilities, but in the M20/20v lineups from the two, they're pretty equal. I would say Dewalt has the edge with the 60v tools in that class, and Milwaukee has a huge edge in the 12v line given how little Dewalt has put into theirs.

      @@SomeGuysGarage one thing I’m confused about is the keyless chuck vs keyed chuck . The image on the Milwaukee box shows a picture keyless chuck and the description says it as well . But then the tool itself seems to be a keyed chuck . Can you explain the difference the best you can ?

    • @SomeGuysGarage
      @SomeGuysGarage  Місяць тому +1

      @@joshcaraballo5151 it's definitely a keyless chuck, as almost all cordless tools these days have. A keyed chuck is just that, you need to use a key to tighten it, a little geared thing that slots into the chuck to tighten it down. The Milwaukee (and Dewalt) have ratcheting style keyless chucks, where as you tighten you'll hear some clicks as it "ratchets" tighter.
      Long/short - they are indeed keyless chucks.

      @ it’s not a poor review , it’s straight to the point and yes these are beginner sets for the DIY or home person like myself. Obviously a contractor or someone of a higher caliber in that world would use the the fuel version or top version of DeWALT . But for a first drill set during Black Friday . It’s a good buy and good review to have the basic understanding.

    For the price of either kit, personally i would just get the Hercules hammer drill and impact kit because its a similar price if not cheaper while most likely being a lot more performant

    I've had a handful of both the Atomic and Milwaukee compact brushless tools and to me I've never seen a more glaring contrast in any same-price tool sets ever. The Milwaukees are built 10 times better and make way more power, even at the smaller sizes. The Atomic tools feel like toys that could break as soon as you open them up new and the Milwaukees feel like they'd last you 40 years. I think the Milwaukee compact brushless tools are the best tool value on the entire market.

    • @SomeGuysGarage
      @SomeGuysGarage  Місяць тому +2

      As a Dewalt guy, I was pretty impressed with the Milwaukee stuff...both size and power were right up there and better in a lot of ways. I wouldn't agree on feel though, I don't find the Dewalt tools to feel like toys, and given the abuse mine have taken over the years without as fault (sooo many drops onto concrete from the ladder lol) they've been solid.
      Sounds like you'd be interested in that durability testing I mentioned at the end of the video though?

    • @enthused7591
      @enthused7591 Місяць тому
