Power Grid Attack Was BIGGER Then Reported
Переглядів 2122 роки тому
Correction: The attack was in Moore County, NC. Not Monroe as I stated. I appologize for the wrong name being stated in the video It appears the Power Grid Attack Was BIGGER Then Reported. More then just North Carolina was attacked and this appears to have potentially been coordinated as well. We need to be careful and expect potentially more incidents like this. I guess the water was just a suggestion lol. For my $$ prepping, Mountain House hands down. I have some Peak Refuel but it's just too expensive to comprise the bulk of my freeze dried preps. The Ready Wise is budget/economy stuff - if it's all that you can afford... then OK. But I would go with Augason Farms before that for the budget stuff.
I am an eye watcher and you got me here.
Good video
I'm trying to stock up on Peak, but I keep eating them, because they are so yummy.
What about the wood around the frame. Lol. It will bust when kicked in
Refuel & Mountain House are my favorites- will never buy the other two brands again!
Nice review. As a suggestion, I know you are doing all of this by yourself, but product reviews require showing the viewers the product. Before you take a bite, grab the camera and do some close ups that your can insert into your commentary about their appearance.
That Inforce light will fail you it's crap
With only a 5 year shelf life I would not consider these as a survival food. Survival food should have a 20+ year shelf life but will require more water, fuel and time to cook. BTW: 4Patriots food is a ripoff.
I have heard the shelf life is far longer than what is listed. They are targeting hikers instead of preppers. It lasts just as long
Dang, those prices have really increased just since this video was made :(
Anyone carrying any kind of kit in an SHTF situation is gonna be a target. Molly on your bag isn’t going to make a difference in that situation. As to the day to day, I don’t think it matters either. If you see these cities with their rash of smash and grab crime, they don’t look closely at the bag they steal. They see a dark lump, break the window, grab anything they see and run. In all the videos I’ve seen, none of the bags stolen looked tactical at all. The bag Being visible and accessible along with looking like a tourist and having no situational awareness is all that seems to matter. Criminals aren’t as discerning as people seem to think they are.
I Carry My Fixed Blade Knife With Sheath With Me On My Belt In Case SHTF And Black Military Tactical Assault Backpack And Black Military Tactical Drop Leg Bag In Case SHTF. That's My Bug Out Bag And Get Home Bag.
Wow
Yea man, where you been ? lol really dig the videos
I like seeing pantry walk throughs, they really help me visualize my mistakes and strengths, plus gives me ideas that I hadn't thought of yet.
Nice selection, great video. Very important: Paracord burns rather slow and very hot. And Paracord is almost in every bug out bag I have ever seen. Also: rubber bands or inner tubes of bycicles. Those are basically wildfires waiting to happen. What I personally prefer: I dip the top third and bottom third of a cotton round in candle wax and leave the mid third as is. Once you need a fire you can pull the wax covered parts apart a little bit and the middle part which is not covered in wax will take a spark from a ferro rod. And they burn for 3-8 minutes. That's my ultimate fire starter.
Nice video, good work! I'd still replace the Blender Bottle with a Grayl Geopress or a Bachgold Filter. They are basically the same size and are filter by themselves.
So much empty space on your shelves. Fill it with cans.
Cool vid but the pace is blah. 5 mins in and we're finally at the pantry. Camera is shaky, consider tripod or stabilization system.
Thank you for showing this great idea.
The best thing of the jars you keep reusing bags is One time use great video.. great job on the prepping 😊
Good presentation skills and good common sense.
There is Not Much Quality in Store Brands Like Wal-Marts "Great Value"!! Some Food Items are Worth Spending a Bit More Money On Instead of CRAP Products Your Family Will Not Eat. "Great Value Lunchen Meat" Is One of Them. SPAM Is a Decent Product and There Are Many Ways To Prepare It. I Have Been Gathering and Prepping For 12 Yrs. Now, and Have Tried Many Different Brand Name Products. I Find The "Great Value" Brand is Very Low On My List. You Get What You Pay For!! If Your Not Going to Eat Your Preps. Then It's All For Not. Do Your Research!!
Great vid
Refuge medical Ifak.
I’ve used canned carrots with BB date of Apr. ‘21. In beef stew when I had no fresh carrots.
Our neighbor does container gardens too, only his are in Home Depot orange buckets. The containers would look so much better if they were painted. I do like the idea. We have bunnies' that eat everything! I might do this next year. Good idea!
I bought a sample pack of the Peak , They were all really good , the beef stroganoff was awesome and the biscuits and gravy was off the hook.
Depending on meal, it's either Mountain House or Peak Refuel. Overall Peak Refuel is much better. Crazy how you got it for $10 though, they are $14 everywhere.
I agree. Up until about a year ago, CAL Ranch stores in Utah and a few surrounding states were selling Peak Refuel meals for $10 each. I loaded up on them. It looks like they are now inline with other sellers and going for $13 each.
Beanie :) Head covering.... for cold weather/sleeping
Refugee medical makes unbelievable kits.. best I’ve ever seen. I’ve got 6 total, but the SOB rises on the belt
You at least need 5 Years worth of food, and you need SKILLS. I'm a Prepper Survivalist Woodsmen Skills are everything.
No one needs to store five years worth of food. You need to know how to grow your own food.
Project Blue Beam - look it up ;) Project Mockingbird - look it up ;) - Godspeed
Now that my husband works away a cpl days a week I'll be making him one. Along with printing a cpl map options to get home easily
I don't have a pantry in my little house but extra food is everywhere I can cram it. Under the couches is perfect for cans laid on their sides, lol.
No tarp or rain gear hello hypothermia
The one item I think is essential is a water tap key (that's what we call it in Australia). Getting water in an urban environment is so much easier if any tap you find can be used.
Thanks !
People with these beautiful pantries obviously don't live in earthquake territory..
Given your stated support parameters it seems like a well thought out bag. There are a few things I'll bring up though. Personally I prefer not to have any glass items like that particular water sanitizer. I prefer the individually packed tablets as there is no glass to break. You might consider moving your flashlight (and batteries) to an outer pocket or the top of your pack to make it easier to rotate batteries. You didn't happen to mention what kind of batteries you use. If you're in a cold area, I would recommend Lithium batteries despite the cost. They last longer in storage and work better in the cold then alkaline. Or, use rechargeable batteries of Low Self-discharge type. Despite the everyday aspect of electronics (including the ham radio) you don't seem to have anything to keep them charged as part of your kit. While your kit is designed for 2 days support under optimal conditions, you could still easily drain battery on say a cell phone. Have you ever travelled through an area where there is no cell service. Quickest way to drain the battery is to leave it searching for service. Of course if you turn it off or in airplane mode and come across a signal you won't know it or pick up any messages that may have been sent to you by family. You could easily add a battery pack of 10k mah for not much space or weight and cable. Your ham radio looks like a Baofeng with the original battery. Given the suggestion above, you might want to get the USB chargeable battery for it. Since it works as an FM radio and HAM, you would want to keep it charged and not carry around a charging cradle.
Readywise is what you give your neighbors who are unprepared and Peak Refuel is what you eat.
223 is what you give them my friend 223
I like the Peak products the best, unfortunately they don't have the shelf life of Mountain House.
Ha, totally agree. It is "fine" but that peak is so good!
Greetings from Tennessee but originally from Nebraska. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Interesting video, thanks. It looks like your get home bag is a "High Sierra" backpack, is that correct?
Thanks for this will be buying some extra
Thanks for the breakdown. I'm new to your page. I'll keep an eye out for more info
You don't have to stay at a water source with a water filter. You can screw them onto a cnoc water bag, screw onto a smart water/life water bottle, or put it in line on a hydration bladder. Way quicker than 30 mins of waiting to drink.
I did consider some of those other options but just felt the pills were best for this bags purpose. Each of those options do have their merit for sure though and for a longer duration kit I'd be more prone to use a bladder with a inline filter. I just felt in this case it's quick to fill up the bottle, Drop in the pills and then be on my way while the water is still purifying and they also to me seem to be the easiest to store/less likely to have a failure point or get damaged while being stored in a vehicle long term.
There are a lot of molle style bags being carried by men in the wild. Go to any chain gym or college campus. Also, that style bag is just sturdier and more popular with everyone exiting mil service and going to college now. It’s a buy once, cry once bag that is only $50 more than a Jansport or something you see a HS kid replacing every year.
I don't disagree at all that some of those bags are a buy once, and cry once type bag. If you're looking for a true bug out bag or a outdoors/wilderness bag I'd go molle for that route. I'd also agree they are becoming more common place but they still in my opinion do stick out more then a normal backpack which is why I went the route I went. Plus for the purpose I'm using it for I don't need it to take months or years of abuse on hiking trails or doing range work. It's just primarily a bag set up to get from point A to B one time and then it's no longer needed as once I'm at one of the places I'm going I'd have access to much more extensive items.
Enjoying your videos,,,Nebraska here too.
Awesome! Thank you!
50 lbs!!!!! Wow, that's awesome.
Thanks and Yes it was!
Great video. I'm not a new prepper, but started with what you recommended .
Glad to hear it!
I’m not concerned about how I dress in a crowd. My usual attire includes a tiger camo Glock hat, 5.11 pants, and a od green jacket or a flannel. I dont have a flashy knife, but someone could spot my pocket knife clip and a flashlight if they were really focusing. I either get shitty looks from liberals or the nod from conservatives or libertarians. Dont ask me to wear shorts in summer. Thats a no go for me. I feel like a geek in shorts. Its pants all day, everyday, 365 days a year. Period.
