I'm looking at one of these as well. Do you feel that the 12 is enough or do you ever feel like you won't something bigger like the 16RB they offer? I'm trying to decide between a "bed in a box" as you stated and the 16RB.

@@thor3901 it really depends on your style of camping. I love that the 12 forces you to be outside. But if you plan on camping with more than 2 people. I’d definitely do the 16.

I’m not a fan of this type of straps cause of the force it puts laterally on the wheel and the hub. I’d much rather have them over the wheel. But also I never rely on just one method. I always do two types of fastening. I’m not in a hurry to strap down and take off. So in addition to the over the wheels, I also do a couple to the frame and one each for front and back. In an accident, you want that beast tied down so it doesn’t become a flying projectile. But that’s just me. Straps are cheap and so is my time.

The Kraftwerks tune has gotten better but I think it’s probably optimized for sea level. I got mine installed but the tune I’m still having issues with mine. It runs better at the Dunes which is lower elevation than where I live but if I go into the mountains it stutters and bogs really bad. When you contacted PPEI did they want you to purchase a power commander and auto tuner as well? That’s what they want me to do.

It has degreaser in it, so maybe it washed the sc1 off? Idk. Still figuring things out. Im looking for the best and easiest way to wash and look great. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ROG. I'm looking at purchasing a 12RK within a month. The one the RV dealer has onsite has the torsion axle, so they are ordering /installing the Overlanding package (Timbren axle, Articulating hitch). I also want to upgrade the wheels/tires to be able to use the 33" tires I removed from my Gladiator, so I need the 17" wheels. My Gladiator has a Metalcloak 3.5" lift and is sitting on 37" Tires, so I'm hoping to get the ROG to sit higher to better match the height of the Gladiator. Thanks again for sharing, this gives me an idea of the ground clearance I will have after my upgrades. Are your rims Vision D's? What back spacing are your wheels?
