Thank you!!! The piece I’m refinishing looked exactly like yours with the bleed thru. I had two coats of Sherwin Williams extreme bond primer on it and it did nothing. I found your video and the Kilz restoration primer did the trick. First coat of Kilz sealed it and the second coat covered it.

How well did the paint hold up on the metal after all this time?

Is that an acrylic wall putty?

Years ago houses did not have the closet space they have now. People didn’t have so many clothes. So these very functional pieces were designed to fill that need. I have one very similar to this one and plan on giving it a makeover, possibly using wallpaper on the drawer fronts due to severely chipped veneer.

I simply don't grasp what look you were going for. MCM is NOT flowere and stenciling. Great work but it's not an attractive piece.

What is the name of that tool you used to get the design off the dresser? I want to do my dresser set too.

I picked up a Henry Link Bali Hai dresser and they put either a cheap white on it or primer. It feels slightly rough. Should I strip it first?
