OhMyGoodness!! She isn’t a gentleman’s armoire!!!! Soooo Beautiful🌹💫🌹
Very, very nice!
Très, très beau! 😻
What a beautiful makeover! Although you don't see many of these today, we can totally see this in someone's home!
Hi there, new sub here!😀 Just wanted to offer a quick tip I learned when clamping wood being glued. Ideally you'll be using atleast two clamps for this.
The trick is to clamp a flat board atop the area being glued. This will provide uniform pressure (really important), and when you're in a bind, make that lonely clamp potentially do the work of two.😉🇨🇦
Hi thanks for subscribing 😀 yes i had thiught about that and then didn't do it lol i will definitely use that idea next time, thank you for sharing
Gorgeous, Meg! I love how the transfer and paper coordinate. This is fresh like springtime!
It’s a cute piece. Love the decoupage and stenciling. Would look adorable in a nursery or child’s room. I probably would’ve done a wash or stain if it was for myself. I have a thing where I just can’t paint over wood. 🤣
Very pretty. Thanks for showing the peeling veneer. Have some to deal with .
Beautiful transformation!! Congrats on it selling so quickly too! Glad you cover the runners when spraying. Some don’t and get layers (2-3 coats) of primer and then the same with paint. I figure it’s going to interfere with the drawers sliding at some point, especially slides that are in the middle. Love the transfer and decoupage inside the drawers!💜
Thank you so much. Oh yes these runners were wood and any primer or paint on them would effect the drawers. Thank you for watching
Thats a chifforobe .
Such a lovely piece for future reference wood filler isn't too good for large areas it'll leave you with an uneven surface and cause you to waste a lot of product in time. Have you ever tried Bondo? Works great 4 large areas.
Thank you. I have tried bondo before but didn't like it too much. I'll look into it again.
@@lubblyjubblyfurniture there’s also a bondo two part wood filler now too. A lot of furniture flippers on UA-cam we’re using the original bondo and have started using this one instead. It cures hard and fast (about 15 min) like the original, but can also be stained (if using for small veneer repairs). Unfortunately Dap wood filler is water based, so if there’s any loose veneer, especially with the veneer between the substrate and top veneer, it causes it to bubble (I learned all of this by watching Trena of John’s Furniture Repair). I know you were running out of wood glue, but where it’s bubbling you can make a tiny slit where the bubbles are and squeeze glue around that area, then put weight on it. I had a piece that did this too. It was over 100yrs old and wish I had found Trena’s channel before I worked on it lol. Sorry for the long message, hope it helps.💜
Very light and fresh looking! Makes me think of Lily of the Valley in spring😍
So beautiful Meg. Light and airy. When you say you’re using tissue in the drawers do you mean the tissue that you use for gift wrap? Or is there a special tissue for this?
Thank you so much. This tissue paper i use is not like gift wrap tissue, its thicker for decoupage. The brand i use is Redesign With Prima and the link is in my profile. Some people use napkins but i find this paper is more durable
That is a chiffarobe and it is an antique not a vintage piece. It should have not been painted it should have been restored
The word or name chiffarobe does not sell. I like to call it a vintage wardrobe as that is what alot of people call these pieces and in my area that is what sells. I didn't want to restore it, it had terrible peeling veneer and it is not antique, i like to say vintage because its still old but not too old. My client loves it and it didnt go to the dump which is awesome
Love love love
Thank you so much ❤️
