Do what if the Soviets won the Soviet Afghan war
Would Lesotho and Eswatini join this South Africa?
Interesting question. My guess is no though it's not impossible. In otl Verwoerd wanted Lesotho, Eswatini and Botswana to be handed over to South Africa as some kind of trust territory (most believe the idea was that he intended to develop them as bantustans). Even before that the South Afrifan leadership had shown interest in these areas, however the local leaders of Lesotho, Eswatini and Botswana were always pretty hostile to the idea, and the British chose to respect their wishes. With the United Party still in power as opposed to the nationalists, Britain might be a little more keen to take them up in the offer, but I doubt it'd go much further than some sort of economic union.
in that timeline, Mussolini was more of an authoritarian national conservative, not a fascist.
North Vietnam wouldn't remained independent, The US advancements into North Korea were successful until the Chinese Counteroffensives, plus the DRV was supporting the VC, Vietnam would just unify under RVN, but the only problem there would be a bloodier Insurgency and Counterinsurgency battle, if China, Korea and Vietnam didn't have any communism, then the USSR collapses Way Early
On North Vietnam I'd say I probably agree. I think what I was trying to point out was that China wouldn't intervene, but in doing so I negated to mention that this would grant the US a lot more freedom of action. Granted the Vietnamese are very had to conquer. But now I'd agree, a united Vietnam is the most likely outcome
Now here's the thing. The ottoman empire actually went up to the british and asked them to join them. The british declined as they are not seeing ottoman as from their side. Ottoman later joined germans since it was going te be in the war either ways. The scenario is wrong and stupid
When did the Ottoman's ask the British to join the Entente? That never happened. It's true that the Ottomans and Brits were on good terms but there was no alliance offer.
@patrioticbritishmapper8352 go search it up buddy
@@AHD_2009 I did, and found nothing.
@@patrioticbritishmapper8352 The answer is that the Ottoman government wanted an alliance with Britain and France, but was turned down
@@AHD_2009 No they weren't. The only noteworthy thing you can mention in regardless to Ottoman British relations is that the Ottomans (before the war) had been promised two ships by the British, only for this promise to be reneged on once the war started. No where in that is there a rejection of an alliance.
I have a question. Would the influence of the landlords along with the corruption inside KMT government significantly stall chinas progress in this timeline? To put it simpler: Would they look like india or south korea in this reality ? Can you please reply . This topic has just fucking excited me for a long time you know !!!
Depends how good the nationalist are at dealing with the issue. Both of your proposals are possible. With the communists gone I could see the Nationalists turning on the warlords, but at the same time, without the defeat he suffered in otl, Chiang might not have learned the lessons he learned, and perhaps China would've been more oligarchic. Those are my views, what are yours?
@@patrioticbritishmapper8352 You know about china being oligarchic, that's my point exactly. By the time the Chinese civil war had started, feudal warlords in china used to rule china in a pretty much similar way to medieval Europe . After the Islamic expansions and conquest of north Africa and Iberian peninsula, Europe was cut off from it's major source of trade and revenue and the Germanic kingdoms such as franks and Lombards started to decentralize and slowly became feudal . This was not reversed until the late middle ages when the creation of a middle class and professional armies came . China at the time was pretty much like that . People lived in poverty and pretty much were used as serfs for Chinese landowners . Now Chiang has to deal with entirety of mainland china not just an island, and managing to reduce their influence and implementing land reform is gonna definitely be difficult. Add to that the likely solviet aggression and claims towards Manchuria and Xinjiang following a nationalist victory and things get worse . Honestly this leaves me in doubt though being open to the global free market 30 years earlier is definitely gonna help though.

What about slavery Would it still exist in 2000 Brazil probably wouldn't exist for that long
Slavery had already been abolished by the Brazilian Empire before the republican coup, so in that respect quite literally nothing changes
@patrioticbritishmapper8352 Then why didn't you mention it
@@IndigoVoltage It's alternate history, why would I mention something that hasn't changed and has no bearing on the scenario?
We would not take a piece of land, everything would be given by France and Russia to Greece, it would even be more possible to completely lose access to the Aegean Sea even then 😅

I like this video a lot, seeing the Franco-British Union is very cool because if the Union Formed, we could have live in a world where the UK and France would remain world powers reshipping out world in a better view

I know you're from Taiwan and you greatly value the hard-fought liberal democracy you guys have today, and I'm not looking to argue with that. However, I've been looking at your comments and it seems a lot of the evidence you cite is from the cold war era. However, I would suggest that you use ROC's early history and CKS's career in the mainland as the prime judging factor. This hypothetical might turn out to be way less optimal than you think.
Knowing Chiang, ROC would have been a third player in the Cold War, and Its not hard to imagine that the Vietnam civil war would have been the VNQDD vs South Vietnam... And in all honesty, modern day China resembles more of Chiang's intended China, anyway, they'd still would have assert its claim over the Nine dash line...

We also have a lot of cultural ties with Nigeria, Congo and Moçambique
Indeed, granted I think China might get to Mozambique first in the battle for influence, simply due to proximity
You forget to mention the influence we woudl have in Europe, even today The Brazilian-Portuguese cultural exchange and cooperation is probably the least toxic ex colony and colonizer relationship, Brazil have way more impact in the Portuguese economy and culture than other European countries and even superpowers
As a Brazilian all i can say is Brazil and Angola have a very similar culture, not only by being colonize by portgual but because half of the people who was slaved to Brazil came from there, a lot of major Brazilian cultural stereotypes came from there, Capoeira, Samba, Feijoada, a huge part of the Brazilian Portuguese language came from the Kimbundu language from Angola, since they are digitalizing their country and more and more Angolans have acces to the internet we in the Lusophone world are having a massive interaction especially with Angola, but not only with but with all the Portuguese speaking countries
Glad to see you back! I have some ideas that you might use later for your videos What if world war 1 never happened? What if Central powers won world war 1? What if the 100 days reform succeeded? What if Russia didnt sell alaska? What if Megali idea succeeded? What if Russia won Russo-Japanese war? What if America took over Canada? What if Ireland did not have a famine?
Good to be back, great suggestions btw
Some people take it for granted that the Nationalist government signed numerous treaties in favor of the United States during the Sino-Japanese War, including rights to railroads, navigation, and airspace. China will not only be suppressed by the United States as it is now, but will also be controlled militarily by the United States like Japan
Small problem with that, Japan was militarily occupied by the US, China was not.

What if Brazilian colonial empire
Nice job with the video man. I do have a minor quibble with this scenario. I don't think it's likely the Brazilian monarchy would survive into the 21st Century. While I do believe it would continue for longer than our timeline had Dom Pedro ll had a son who survived into adulthood, I personally think that it would only last until Pedro Afonso dies, at which point it's likely Brazil peacefully transitions into a republic. Everything else about your scenario, I think more or less works (although I would've appreciated going a bit deeper into Brazilian internal matters here). Overall, another well-made video from you. Great work, and I'll see you in the next one. P.S., I know you're probably getting a lot of scenario suggestions, but I have one I would really like to see you explore: what if the Raj of Sarawak survived? If you want any info on that, I'd be more than happy to fill you in, but I think that's an fascinating scenario that sadly isn't covered... at all, really.
Thanks. Perhaps the monarchy could've ended sometime in the 20th century, how it happens is the most important thing, if it's ended peacefully, perhaps things carry on the same, if its a coup, perhaps Brazil goes the way of Spain or Portugal. I did consider going a bit deeper into internal workings, but it kinda felt a bit too repetitive. As for your scenario proposal, am I right in saying this was the nation in north Borneo that was ruled by the Brooke family? Would love to hear some more details on this, it sounds interesting.
@@patrioticbritishmapper8352, yes, that's Sarawak you're thinking of. It existed from the 1840's all the way to 1946, when the last Rajah, Charles Vyner Brooke ceded it to the British because of reconstruction costs. The alternate scenario I had was that Vyner doesn't do this, and continues to rule Sarawak. It'd be interesting to see how they would react to de-colonization, the instability in nearby Indonesia, Vietnam, and so on. It also opens some interesting doors about places like Malaya and Sabah. What happens to Malaya in this timeline? What's the status of Sabah? Do they remain British, or are they given to Indonesia or even the Philippines (I personally prefer the Phillipines). Speaking of which, since Malaysia doesn't become a thing in this timeline, the Philippines could remain themselves to Malaysia, as they were considering that in real life. Then there's Brunei, who did used to control all of modern Sarawak until the White Rajahs took it over. What exactly is the relationship between Kuching and Brunei Town? Is it friendly? Cordial? Hostile, even? Lots of interesting little divergences that could happen if Sarawak remains an independent state.
As a Southeast Asian under socialism, I always think about a different vision for my current homeland. Children will grow up in a civilized and free society instead of becoming “online-red guards/little red” like the ccp. There will be no more people losing their lives in the “escape from communism” border crossing. There will be no painful loss among brothers of the same origin. 30-40% of young people will not have to work in capitalist countries like Japan and Korea. Studying abroad in the US and Australia will no longer be a trend for rich families. The air will not be as seriously polluted as it is now and people will have the right to vote by their own decision.
Only thing I feel to add is things got bad enough for the communists in the civil war I feel the Soviets would have seized control of the part of the Trans Siberian Railway within China and the resulting surrounding territory.
What if the brits never contaminated the Cape of Good hope with their presence? The great trek would not took place. The Griekwas would be a sovereign Nation in Griekwaland - now they are Coloureds because the brits reduced them to "Capies" in order to get to the diamonds in the soil of Griekwaland. If you believe that Apartheid started in 1948 you are a complete idi-ot who don't know the history. The british government made Apartheids Laws in the Cape Province in 1870. In 1877 they expanded these laws to the Natal Province. In 1961 the first Prime Minister of the newly established Republic of South Africa changed the british apartheid laws to Independent Development and giving back to the Black nations the areas that the brits took from them. On 6 September 1966 Mi 6 assasinated him because he ended british apartheid in the RSA and gave independance back to the different black nations.
A história alternativa perfeita seria uma em que Dom Manuel I toma o poder de Portugal, e faz surgir o Quinto Império, tornando o mundo em um reino universal e espiritual de justiça e paz, guiado por Cristo e materializado através de Portugal.
💪🏼

Bro you forgot to divide British india
Indian isn't partitioned in this timeline, with a shorter WW2 Britain is able to maintain control for longer and goes with their original plan of granting a united India independence sometime in the late 1950s
Greetings from espírito Santo
As a Brazilian, I think you should have made Brazil a traditional-organic catholic aristocratic nationalist militarist distributist monarchy, because it is the ideal monarchical model for Brazil and the one that would benefit it the most. Other than that, it was a great video. Congratulations. AVE IMPERIVM! 💚💛
Thanks, glad you liked the video, and those are some interesting points you made on the monarchical system. What makes you think that style of monarchy would've been more suited to Brazil out of curiosity?
Why would that be the best fit for Brazil?
@@patrioticbritishmapper8352 1 - "Traditional-organic monarchy": This is, in my opinion, the best type of monarchy. In addition to being a true monarchy, and not just one in which the monarch is more symbolic, as in a parliamentary constitutional monarchy. In this type, the monarch reigns and governs. However, it is important to remember that I am not referring to an absolutist monarchy, because the monarch in this type of monarchy would have significant centralized power, while at the same time being limited by assemblies, other aristocrats and nobles, etc.. 2 - "Catholic": Because the Catholic religion is and has always been deeply rooted and connected to Brazilian culture and society. The Catholic influence in Brazil is notable when analyzing Afro-Brazilian religions, since they have Catholic elements and saints syncretized with their religions. 3 - "Aristocratic": This should not be confused with the concept promoted by the Enlightenment, which is that they are "a small privileged elite". The aristocracy I am referring to is the original one, which is the "government of the best", that is, people who are truly capable of being part of the government; it is also the form of government preferred by Plato and Aristotle. 4 - "Nationalist": Simply because it is Brazil's right to have, maintain and protect its sovereignty, economy, culture, customs and people. Brazil should never remain subservient to another nation. Basically, the concept of nationalism. 5 - "Militarist": Brazil should always remain extremely militarized, as it is a necessity for any and all world powers to defend themselves from internal and external threats. A militaristic culture and society, together with nationalism, are a powerful weapon of defense. 6 - "Distributist": I consider it to be the fairest socioeconomic system, differentiating itself from both predatory capitalism and socialist perspectives. Furthermore, it is a traditional and originally Catholic system, which will naturally be compatible with a Catholic monarchy.
