    I don't think 7awg cable can handle 100A, right? How can it have 7awg cable?

    • @kevincrawford2027
      @kevincrawford2027 3 дні тому

      That's what I thought too but I seemed to do ok and didn't get hot. I guess the silicone high temp wire with very fine strands can safely handle more current. I did like the fact that the over current protection worked quickly at 110 amps.

      @@kevincrawford2027 that's good. I have seen other batteries with 8awg so I guess this one is better than the others. I plan to power my room with one of these and I might use high power, 800w or something so cable tickness is something I worry about.

    I bought 4x 200 AH PLUS for the 200 amp BMS based you your REDODO reviews. 48x200Ah connected to my sunpowergold 48v 10KW/20KW 120/240 split phase HYBRID invertor and it runs my entire house. Have 12 450w Sunpower gold panels in series *2 strings of 6* into both PV inputs. I can go strictly off grid if I wanted to, or turn off main breaker and save on the grid power. Literally can run washer, central AC, dryer, 3 fridges and multiple tvs, fan, and led light bulbs. It will run 6-8 off batteries from Redodo. I am happy with them. Whole set up about 7k total invested. Waiting on the new ones with bluetooth capability before I buy another 8 of them. Thanks PapaJunk. Loved your excavator series as well. I have the orange QH-12 and tricked it out. Strong little machine.

      Thanks for the comment. I am happy with my Redodo batteries. I have almost all of my 120 volt circuits on my LV6548 including my 230 volt pump (using a 120 to 240 transformer) that feed two houses. I also can't believe how many thing I can find to do with my excavator.

    The lights may flicker if light is on same circuit as fridge or freezer.. try putting on dedicated circuit.. motors do draw a lot though if your maxing out the system - you may need bigger inverter to handle the surge to avoid the flicker.... i have the same single unit with single phase 120.. we only get a flicker when portable ac comes on cause it shares wall outlet shares circuit with the plug in lamp in living room.. thanks for sharing your setup.. we use pylon protocol to get an accurate battery read.. you need a battery with a smart bms that has a communication protocol to get it to work properly.. otherwise use the user setting and setup the correct charging settings for your type of battery.. otherwise you may damage them or worse.. what heat pump / mini split do you use - im thinking of trying one as well

    A little tip for bending copper tube, if you fill it with water then freeze it it will give you smoother bends. I learned this from watching how they make brass instruments.

    Yes I have same issue with my twin LV6548 in 120/240 v running 18 months . Yes, Led lights flicker with a higher load draw like a coffee maker or simular loads. I just bought a new NKH low frequency inverter 10 kw to change over soon. I monitor with solar assistant, no internet connection. Biggest LV6548 complaint is 250 v maximum PV volt input. These were good units at the time but equipment has changed for the better over the years. Thanks for sharing your setup.

    • @RobTuby
      @RobTuby 14 днів тому

      i agree can only do 4s.. with most typs of panels.. if i was to add a 5th panel on the string in the winter voltage is too close to 250.... we get very cold temps which can increase voltage ive seen it sctually happen.. ive heard you can try using some kind of inline voltage limiter.. but more complex.. wonder if anyone has tried this..

  • @solarcharging9743
    @solarcharging9743 19 днів тому

    These high frequency inverters are far too noisy and they don't offer any galvanic isolation for safety. They also offer a far poorer surge capacity and a shorter life expectancy than real inverters that use longer lasting, higher surge, low frequency, transformer based inverters.

  • @francistheodorecatte
    @francistheodorecatte 20 днів тому

    what's the power factor on your fridge and freezer? if they've got a restive start, resistive run compressor, they usually have only .5 to .6, which is likely going to stress out the inverter as it's seeing effectively twice the amperage draw from the reactive power being so many degrees behind the sinewave.

    • @kevincrawford2027
      @kevincrawford2027 20 днів тому

      Different circuits in the panel box. The inverter is 120 volt not split phase. I am sure there is not a ground problem. I think it is from the motor harmonics feeding back to the inverter ( just a guess ).

    Hello- I really enjoy your modifications. I was wondering if you had a issue with the blade lift height ? My dozer blade only lifts a few inches above the ground, limiting my travel, especially climbing up ramps. I thought your engineering brain may have a idea to allow the blade to raise higher. Maybe cut and raise the blade brackets? Thanks AJ from North California.
