Yard Machine Engine Autopsy and Repower

My neighbor had the same mower, ran it for 2 years and the piston blew a hole in it when he fired it up for the first time in the spring on his third year. I suspect it didn't like sitting and probably needed to be turned over a bunch with a spark plug disconnected to get the oil lubricating it
