I am a Union Electrician now but was an apartment maintenance supervisor for several different companies over the past 10+ years. I have seen living conditions like this and even worse. My hat goes off to you brother, I do not miss those days one bit. I also only have to focus on one trade/skill instead of every trade known to man! God bless you brother, keep up the good work! Not a subscriber even though I watch your videos. I was in the Apt. industry since '87 now retired. Ray, it would of been great to work with someone with your work ethic. Many days I got burned out but worked with a great company out of Florida. Every year they flew the Supervisors to places like Tampa and Clearwater for 3 days. I hope your company treats you well. Pay was great but on some days like what you go through it was a bear. You are more than worth me subscribing to. Where was that thermal imager when I was working? That's the bomb. Anyway, stay safe and sane, you are a hell of a worker. I'' be watching.
I recently switched from apartment maintenance at a section 8 property and am now Maintenance director at an assisted living facility. Much nicer work enviorment all around. I comend you for sticking with it at these low income properties. It is not for the weak!
Bought a sticker and a magnet :) As for the tool suggestion, maybe one of those cool Klein GFCI outlet testers (the one with the screen that also gives voltage). Do you have any recommendations for your favorite handyman/maintenance books?
Thought that apartment was from an eviction until I heard the guy talk LOL that is certainly unfortunate. Especially for the dogs, if you yell at them for pooping on the floor but the pads are full they begin to practice coprophagia (eating their poop) to avoid you yelling at them, while neglect will lead to them doing it more just for any human attention even negative. I did a year long veterinary assisting college program and a couple semesters as a veterinary technician student (didn't finish because cows and horses were large animal practices and I don't have a partnered student clinic in my state). really kills ya to see animals in the hands of people with no business havin em. also stop showing so many cool tools my credit score is sweating lol That thermal imager (looks like the KTI-WO2) is almost 500 bucks regularly so it's nice that Kaiweets gave ya one. I know those can sometimes even show water leaks behind a wall which would save so much drywall being cut while guessing or having to wait until the water stains through to know where the drip or leak is :)
Really excited for more info on the hand held thermal camera I’m gonna buy one after you go over the info on the one you have thanks for another great video

I use to have to remove the evaporator coils and clean them then reinstall. Also I did a video on repairing the new evaporator motors

IR cameras are good for finding air leaks and also at times find water pipes by running water
