How do I stop Mass Hedgehog???

I subscribed for the storm gate content but I wouldn’t mind other RTS content

My pre-concern for this mode is there won't be any players to try it once it hits live. Game absolutely needs north of 1K players online just to break even on some 60-ish games at any one time, and then there's the "single huge server with time zone issue" that compounds on a 6 player match making, I wonder if the mode will simply implode on itself in less than a week if it is'nt immediately super popular off the bat and actively generating new player flow. I don't see it taking off at all if there's only 600 players on at launch (2-4 times current), bigger matchmakings need bigger player pools to work seemlessly.

3v3 in rts like sc2 is boring as hell There is no strategy better than snowball If 3 of your enemy goes toss sky you cant do anything Bases are very very limited than 1v1 or 2v2 If your team Don't have tier 3 in 8 minutes you just lose the game There is no meaning in mining when you have a zerg in your team and you are terran , you just fall behind because you have less bases Most games are just sky toss or pure tank , pure carrier, pure thor and you cant do anything about it 3v3 is just different game to balance

Broken Arrow would be a good RTS to cover. You could go "Stormgate - RTS Central" so that the focus is aimed at Stormgate but you cover RTS in general as well.

This sounds to me like "RTS players are leaving so let's try to make a MOBA now". :D I do find 1v1 in this to be quite enjoyable and I would like for them to succeed but more and more it looks to me like these devs are just incompetent and have no clue what game they actually want to make. And I still believe that going with this goofy infantile art style is what put the game on death spiral from the start. They hyped the game to insane levels with their pretty talks before there were any screenshots out. After hyping it up that much they needed to show something that looked immediately attractive but instead they came out with screenshots that looked like some of the blandest shit ever. Killed their own hype right there, the contrast was simply too strong.

Sounds good, spread out and change the name, it's a good idea. Even though we want to be positive, like you say, numbers don't lie. There is definitely a chance the game doesn't get numbers for 1.0, I honestly thought it would be ok, but we gotta be honest. Battle aces was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to playing again!

I think covering multiple RTSes is completely fine. Lots of exciting stuff coming out. That being said, Stormgate still has a chance to recover if the patches are consistent and significantly improve the game's low points. The lack of game modes and content to me are the two main reasons I don't play right now since I have no intentions of playing 1vs1 ladder until I have other PvP modes to play. Unless I get an invite to Mayhem I will likely just try the Chapter 0 changes and Co-op for a bit just wait for the next update again. A lot can change in a year in terms of development time. Many already own a bunch of the content in the game due to the Kickstarter, so if Frost Giant can convince those people to try the game again when it is in a much more polished state when the main criticisms have been addressed, then it will at least have a stable core audience to build upon with better word of mouth. Unless you play 1vs1 there isn't a lot of actual replayability outside of that. Weekly Mutations at least gave me a reason to log in about once a week to try some of the new challenges out. 1vs1 only lives off of the back of the casual audience, so Frost Giant need to start producing good content and new game modes that cater to them if they want the game to start growing. 0.2.0 will likely determine the art direction pretty substantially going forward considering how much it was mentioned in communications and on the roadmap. I at least hope we get to see some more unit/building polish alongside the promised performance improvements. Also, it's good that Mayhem will be under NDA, since that was the biggest mistake they did with the Campaign.

It certainly doesn't hurt to support other games. Your presentation is very good and your production quality is high. I'm always looking forward to your videos, and while I hope the best of stormgate, I want to be able to see videos from you wherever Stormgate ends up.

I don’t think you should change the channel name/rebrand in general. You have an insanely good branding advantage if/when stormgate becomes popular (which I’m confident that it will, but it will be a journey of years not a hype cycle of weeks). Some of the other RTSs mentioned like battle aces and AoM just don’t resemble StarCraft at all in terms of theme or play style, and I personally won’t be interested. If you want to try them anyways, make a new channel and plug that channel at the end of your videos here (which I’ve been hoping to see more of, especially after the 0.1 SG patch) I think you might have the wrong impression of what people want if you’ve been reading too many of your own comments. Most people don’t have an original opinion and just parrot what they saw other people say, which is why you get disproportionately more “go cast AoM” comments when most other SG casters do not, same with Winter’s comment section being mostly anti-Terran while other StarCraft channels being biased in other ways

Maybe Stormgate went early access/beta a bit too early, but then if they kept it behind closed doors for longer would it end up being a better or worse game in the end? I'm hoping this early/kind of not great beta will be good in the long run. Time will tell Having a strong channel identity is good, maybe consider having a second channel. People that will ONLY be into battle aces won't like all the other RTS videos etc. so even though there is overlap usually when I see channels branch out/go super rogue it can put people off as they only want to cherry pick certain videos

Definatly go for RTS Central. I'm optimistic for Stormgate - I think it'll turn out well. But would love to hear your updates on other games... maybe like Beyond All Reaond :)

I like your vids but you should diverse your content because I don't think that SG achieve success. They decide to do many medicore things instead of one but high quality and then switch to build next thing I think that ZeroSpace has much more pottential

What are they doing? They should be fixing the game modes they already have, instead they decided to make a copy of League of Legends. They want to create RTS or not?

I was looking forwards to straight up 3v3. Was kind of disappointed to hear that it’s this streamlined moba thing or whatever it is. No macro and a core building to destroy/defend with a boss you can send down “lane” to attack the other team might as well be a different game.

I think you can change it to RTS Central. It is a good name and i think you do great content, would love to see stuff like Battle Aces from you. I am still very much rooting for Stormgate, butdo your thing. :-)

I'm glad they went for a very different direction while still keeping most of macro outside of worker production. I kinda hope economy harassment is still relevant, though. It's the one thing that even Battle Aces has kept, and it's the most fun thing about it. I'm also really glad they decided to keep it under NDA for longer. I wish they didn't have to, but apparently the concept of early builds is too hard to grasp for gamers.

You should change the name regardless. No point in tying yourself to the Titanic. I'd say the chance that SG would just die before or after The 1.0 launch is 95%. FGS has proven to be slow, expensive and lacking visions of what players want and what is cool. Not to mention their money problem and i don't see any more suckers coming out of the woods and throwing wallets at them.

you are doing really good content and you definitely should branch out to other games! would love to see some battle aces content, because battle aces actually is really amazing game and we need proper update videos. I actually watch your videos to get infos for stormgate mostly.

I recommend you just run different games, but with changing the name I would recommend you to wait. Like right now you really are Stormgate Central, if it moves up you are in perfect spot with this channel. I would recommend you post here other games from time to time and if you like something well enough you want to post more I believe better start another channel and link between them in video description. And in time if Stormgate flops you change this one channel name to RTS central. While you can compare number of views on new channels and RTS you cast that has most viewers you know to focus on. Idk about YT metagame so that's just amateurish take

I'll tell you why this game is not suitable to do early access. This game was supposed to be an "improved" Blend of both Warcraft and StarCraft. StarCraft 2, despite its flaws managed to bring a ton of new blood into the franchise because they actually finish the game (campaign wise/ladder). Graphic look unique and the sound is awesome. Now imagine having an expectation like that and release inferior product in every possible way? The dissapointment is real. They should have stick to beta and release the game the way they intended, not doing janky early access bullshit.

In 1 month... I feel like nothing much changed... I know I get hate for this but... Game is not ready, it's still unbaked cake, everything will take a LOT time to fix but this update gave us as I feel it, only few graphics few better ways And Amara changed but nothing other changed :(
