[50] Master Lock 19 Picked!
Переглядів 63311 місяців тому
Thank you to J. Gabriel for lending me this lock, it was super fun to play around with. I definitely want to get one of my own, especially after playing around with this one... what an awesome lock! Master Lock first produced their #19 padlock as a high security option sometime in the 1970's I believe, and was unfortunately discontinued around the beginning of the new century. They boast a key ...

This is a guide to help other's with the deconstruction and assembly of this lock. Abloy Disklock Pro is unique from all other Abloys when it comes to the way it is put together, and thus, causes a lot of confusion for people working with it for the first time. I have been told that a special tool is required to do this, however, I was able to find a good method where no special tool is require...

Unedited raw video: ua-cam.com/video/g06d7DmUFIA/v-deo.html This lock is my 10th Black Belt level lock picked! I got it as a gift from a fellow locksmith about 2-3 years ago, when I was still new to this hobby and career. At the time, this lock felt so beyond my knowledge and abilities, I just couldn't wrap my head around all the little parts, let alone, how to manipulate them. I let the fear o...

I also found that taking a deep hook pick and slightly sanding a flat edge really helped. I hate that deep hooks tend to have a rounded tip. Why is that?

Thank you for that video. I've heard a couple others suggest marking your pick. I'm going to start doing that with the 1100s. I've been able to open a couple of them - but those were more by chance than "skill." If I'm still struggling, I'll go with progressive pinning.

I have noticed that my comment I left yesterday is not in the comment section. I spoke about the origin of the "Palestinians", how Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian started calling the Arabs in the region, "Palestinians" back in the 1980`s and insisted they call themselves the same. I am sure that I have already said enough for this comment to be taken down also, but not near enough of what I want to say.

That kind of lock picking is way beyond my pay grade. I like fooling around with different padlocks, nothing real fancy or too complex. I am old and have neuropathy in my hands, so I am no longer able to perform brain surgery or delicate lock picking. Really enjoy your videos. Thank you for going to the trouble of making them.

🧐 hmmm wouldn't it be easier to find two fitting TOK tensioners that fit 45 degrees into the keyway on the right side? Is there any benefit from having your fingers "stretch" in both ways instead of having precise control of how the core turns using one very snug tensioner? If they are nice and snug you can use "one combined" tensioner to control turning in both directions. I'll try it out on my own ABUS EC75 to make sure. Right now I'm baffled that I can't open euro profile cylinders because of the milling that houses the pinstack. It just feels like it glues down the pins as you pick them. I learned yesterday while picking the GOAL S that I can use float picking to lift these pins, regardless of the new technique introduced, I couldn't get an open. Which is kind of sad 😢

Currently busy trying to pick this one. The idea of float picking it, has not come to mind yet. I just find the pins to be brutal strong in this particular lock. To add salt on the wound, it also has pins coming from the top which obstructs the keyway even more, making positioning of the flag even harder than it should be.

Lol thanks Downfall, Eric Clapton is one of my favorite guitarists of all time, and was one of the people who inspired me to play. This song in particular (the original) is extremely sad, and has brought me to tears many times. I wanted to make my version funny, but also sing it seriously out of respect to the song. My main worries are that someone would be offended at my rendition of this song, or conversely, that they would be too worried about offending me to actually laugh at it lol. I know I sang a bit more seriously on this one, but I still want people to laugh at how ridiculous it is lol. That being said, I'm also happy if people just enjoy it without finding it funny... I make myself laugh, and that's what counts! 😂 Thanks for the nice comment buddy ❤

I picked my blue one yesterday and picked it 3 times more today. Interestingly my lock required me to man handle 2 of the pins a bit to get them to set and open the lock. Now, I just need to figure out how to gut the lock and check what is inside. I'm counting two serrated spools that get me two false sets and then an open lock. Of course the rest of the pins - which are serrated by the way - need to be set too before proceeding to the spool pins. I ordered two more American Lock 1100. One just came today - a beautiful gold one - but I coukdn't pick it the same way I picked the blue one. There's a red one on the way, but I'm not sure when it will arrive.
