The pistons came up short like the defeat against Houstons Rockets.

This was the first game this season that I turned off before it was over (after many last year). I am so tired of all the really stupid careless turnovers. In the first quarter alone I watched Cade and others casually throw the ball away or dribble into triple teams to have the ball stolen away. This team is much better than last season but they are not good enough to outplay their turnovers. So frustrating!

I definitely think we could swap THJ and tek in the lineup, and we would be better on both ends. I truly believe that we’ve been showcasing THJ since the start of the season in an effort to flip his expiring at the deadline. I don’t think we should make just ANY trade, but I really hope we don’t just sit on our hands here. Gotta utilize the cap space while we can to pile up as many assets as possible in the meantime

While truly it sucks that Ivey got injured in the midst of a career year, I don’t think there’s any doubt that it galvanized the entire team. When the Lions lost Hutch, the entire team came together and guys across the board on both sides of the ball have since elevated their games significantly in his absence, which how we finished the season 15-2. We’re now seeing the same with the Pistons. Harris and THJ have both risen to the occasion the past few games after being nonexistent the prior month. Duren has looked more locked in defensively than he ever has. And guys off the bench like Holland, Sasser and Tec have all given the second unit a much needed boost. And perhaps above all, the entire team has been getting after it defensively the past 5 games. Gotta love how JB has brought these guys together. Sure this team won’t win a title this year, but for the first time since the early 2000s I think we’re finally witnessing the birth of a championship core on the Pistons. The future is bright and the present has been more fun than ever. So proud of these boys.

Jimmy Butler wouldn't show up if traded to Detroit... no need to worry. If anything it would be Beal who is traded to Detroit as the third team landing Jimmy in Phoenix. Beal would have to waive his no trade clause which he most likely won't do unless he wants to start that badly.
