TOTLR Ep 3 Gallant Old Engine
Sorry its taken half a year to throw this video out, I've been quite busy lately. The number of people being involved in this episode is minimal, I've kept this very quiet because I've been unsure of when it would be completed. For example its been the quickest video to film and edit, but finding the time to do it has taken over a month. Thanks again to Matt Cooper for the narration, without him devoting his time to do these stories, we would have no series at all so!
Anyway I hope you enjoy the video!

EPISODE 2 - ua-cam.com/video/1ZV9Lnnc3I8/v-deo.html EPISODE 3 - ua-cam.com/video/Icp-bGqg7O8/v-deo.html After two years of waiting Ive finally managed to create this model series. This is the Pilot episode to a series of stories about the Skarloey Railway. Huge thanks to Matt Cooper for the narration, the reason why this episode has been delayed for so long is because it has been without a narr...
It's a shame there wasn't more of these. :(
Sir Handel's nameplates say Sir Haydn :P
Yoo no way I remember this video. Had no idea it still existed.
Who’s here in 2023 missing HenryBlue’s contributions to the community? And Matt Cooper for that matter!
Me too; HenryBlue's stuff is an absolute nostalgia fest. These three episodes in particular are so cozy and down to earth
I still love these. I can just keep watching them over and over like I have done for about 5 years. The story, the sets, the rolling stock. This is actually one of the reason why I changed from 00 to 009. I even made my own Peter Sam using yours as a basis.
You Know, for something made over 8 years ago- it still holds up well
This was awesome
It's been 7 years, will this ever return?!?
North Western doubt it
What ever happened to this series? I remember watching these years ago.
Me to.
Poo.
This is great
When is your next move
i've been looking everywhere for this
(A.K.A Sparkshot / Knuckles) Wish you'd make a 4th mate. These 3 are your best and such an improvement over your early stuff. 3rd episode especially.
What ever happened to this series
What fantastic stories my friend, I can't believe I never saw these before but I am glad I have now. I love the history of the Talyllyn and I love your models my friend, they are beautifully made and the layout is outstanding. I really can't wait to see future stories my friends =) You have also inspired me to try and create them, been thinking about it for months so might give it a go sometime. Keep up the good work my friend and I look forward to future stories =)
I really don't see anything that could be improved. This episode is perfect. It has that laid-back tone that makes for a smooth and meaningful story. Excellent work. :)
yep.
Will there be a Ep 4
No.
why dose henry have james's face?
Simply brilliant!
This looks amazing! What models do you use?
Duke arrived on the Skarloey Railway years after this story takes place, and the reason why Sir Handel is red is because the models are based off of how the real locos on their prototype railway are rendered. There's even a shot with Sir Handel's nameplate saying "Sir Haydn", who was on e of the many people who worked on the prototype railway, a.k.a the Talyllyn Railway. Do your research, dumb-ass!!
those faces are so peferct
Is this a extended version Gallant Old Engine?
I liked the idea that Peter Sam got derailed
I liked the idea that Peter Sam got derailed.
You have so much detail for the Skarleoy Railway set.
i love ur set bro im doing a crovans gate layout but based on the tv series but tugs style writing do u think its a gd idea i think it was but i thought id ask the people who wud know :)
Hi. Im planning to start a small 24inch 009 layout and would lik rheneas to run it. I no rheneas is a dohnloc (sorry for bad spelling) class and there are kits but they are expensive for a small project. So do you think if i bought a 0-4-0 chassis online and then a take n play body, do you think it would be a good fit/scale with the chassis? or too small? thanks and keep up the good work on this series
IndianaJonesnutter I don't think it would :(
probably an ertl body on a 009 chassis
What scale is this layout in? I would imagine, because the engines are small, that it's in N scale?
Ethan Hamill 009 scale :)
You've Earned Yourself Another Subscriber!!! Rev W. Awdry Would Be Most Amazed :)
laughed for about 5 min
good call mate
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE STEAM!!!!!
I've seen footage of the Tea Van, from 1967 with Edward Thomas hauling a "Mail Special", it also shows the original condition of carriage No.10 when it was open sided. It also shows the engine with the famous Giesl Ejector that some Thomas fans nickname "Peter Sam's Special Funnel" :)
good job on this one too
i think man u done a greatjob on this and i hope u gunna do more
brilliant! just brilliant the models, the scenery, the photos of the acctual line at the beggining could you give any pionters to a first time 009 guy im doing a narrow gauge layout but in two shoeboxes put together only a small side project from my 00 gauge stuff
is there gonna be a fourth episode?

Best episode yet. Really loved the manager's talks with Rheneas, the mention of Sir Handel in the shed, and the technical detail of Rheneas' problem.. all of it, just great. Hehehe that end too!
Did you buy the modles, or did you make them?
nice! :)
Wow, I'm blown away. Might I say that this is the best episode yet! The camera work was really cool and the scenery was superb! Well done Adam!
Love your scenery!
A very nice remake of one of the Rev. W. Awdry's stories +5
