Budget Ratchet Spanner Set from ALDI
Budget Ratchet Spanner Set
TOOL or TOY ?
Brand is Workzone from ALDI. I suspect there are identical spanner sets but with different labels out there.
Bought a set of ratchet spanners while in Aldi. Did not need them and did not even know I wanted them. Spotted them while in middle isle the of store. It was one of those impulse buys, a, I might need them one day purchase lol.
Overall for the money I have no complaints. They will not replace my spanners but will live in a dark recess of one of my tool boxes just in case I may need them one day to get out of a jam. Have actually used them a few times already and they have proved quite useful. Limited sizes but probably enough to cover most of what a householder would need on a daily basis.
If you enjoy the content I create then please consider giving a thumbs up and maybe even subscribe plus hit the notification button to enjoy future content as soon as it is uploaded.

Do you really need a breaker ?
Переглядів 1,9 тис.2 місяці тому
Do you really need a breaker ? Bought mine from Screwfix a few years ago. For those of you who do not know what Screwfix is, it is a tool store in the UK. They have branches countrywide and a really good website to purchase tools from. This particular breaker is what you would call entry level. Titan tools are a little basic but do the job they are designed to do. For the money I have no compla...
How to remove Mixer Tap handle with no obvious screw
Переглядів 16 тис.6 місяців тому
I had a dripping mixer tap and needed to sort the issue. The dripping was caused by a build up of limescale. In this case it was on the hot feed. The hot and cold mixers do not have traditional rubber washers. They have ceramic ones housed in a metal sleeve that need to be unscrewed prior to cleaning. I used white vinegar as the acidity breaks down limescale without using any chemicals then rea...

Permanent Marker Removal
Переглядів 3882 роки тому
How to remove Permanent Marker Pen with items from around the house. After having shall we say a fau par with a permanent marker pen I needed to remove it. The most popular ways I could find were hairspray, rubbing alcohol and WD40. None of these were going to work for my situation and I do not have any hairspray of rubbing alcohol. There was also no way I was going to squirt WD40 onto the carp...
HOW TO CUT SMALL WOOD ON A MITRE SAW SAFELY
Переглядів 4,9 тис.3 роки тому
Have you ever wondered how to cut small pieces of wood on a Mitre Saw without risking chopping off your fingers. Well I bought a bag of hard wood off cuts from a local wood recycling store for hobby work as I have a few small projects in mind. After doing some research and watching a couple of videos on UA-cam I came up with this. It is not a new idea but have modified it slightly to suit my ne...

Cutting Board Care - Olive or Mineral oil ?
Переглядів 3,3 тис.3 роки тому
Welcome to InfoZhed Workshop I was in need of a new cutting board to replace my plastic one that is at the end of its useful life and opted for a bamboo board that was cheap and available at a local store. To be honest I was a bit skeptical as to how it would perform but to be fair it is holding up well after a month or so use. As the bamboo is untreated I decided to give it a little TLC in the...
Joint It Simple (DIY Bloke uses brush in grout for the first time)
Переглядів 26 тис.3 роки тому
Joint It Simple. DIY Bloke uses it for the first time. I needed to grout some patio slabs. Not wanting to spend hours with messy old sand and cement looked around for alternatives. There are a range of brush in alternatives now available so bought this joint-It compound that was recommended by the firm we purchased out porcelain slabs. Using this for the first time I found it to be easy enough ...

Expower Rechargeable Lantern Fail
Переглядів 1173 роки тому
Bought the Expower Rechargeable Lantern from Amazon a year or so ago and its developed a fault. The mini USB charging port socket has detached inside the unit rendering it useless as a rechargeable lantern. At the time of making this video it is on the Amazon Choice list. In this video I take it apart to see where it failed and if it can be easily fixed. I discovered that the USB charging port ...
DIY Guide to SEAT UPHOLSTERY
Переглядів 1303 роки тому
Needed to re-upholster my dining chairs to freshen them up and did not have the cash to pay a trades person to do it so decided to do it myself with some spare foam that was free and material bought from ebay. The foam was not quite a perfect fit so had to improvise slightly. What I have done is perfectly acceptable. I am not a professional but would describe myself as a serious DIYer so if you...

Energer 350W Drill ENB672DBT Bought this from my local Screwfix a while ago as needed to drill some mild steel fairly accurately. After a lot of use I thought it would be a good idea to put a video out there about the Good, Bad and Ugly points of this little cheap DIY Drill Press. If you are after a cheap DIY or Hobby drill press that does not take up a lot of room then this could be for you as...

Great video. Simple when you know how to do it. Thanks
You absolute legend. Thank you
Excellent. Clear, concise and informative.
I Can't Thank You Enough After 18 Year's And A Door Which Wasn't Shutting Properly And Catching I've Followed The Steps On Your Video And It Shuts Properly No Catching Or Any Problems Sorted ❤✌️
Glad it helped
Not all hero's wear capes! Thank you for this video!!
You're welcome!
Great video. What UA-cam was meant for! I've just solved two issues with mine and I'm having to fight me muscle memory to not slam the door anymore 😂
Great video, just literally saved my day!
Mine is closed and the top and the bottom has a gap half way down the door. Do you know the adjustment I need to do?
My door I believe is badly fitted in the first place. Have done my best with your help.
I tried this but a good whack would not release the clips. Any suggestions?
Thank you, great video! Straight to the point, clear instructions, very helpful
Wow. You won't believe how many videos I watched until I found yours 😅 Thank you so much 👏🏽👏🏽
Glad I could help!
I've watched this and building up confidence to try. I've only been in the house 2 weeks but I'm getting no response from snagging team. My door is sitting 1mm - 7mm top to bottom :-( I don't know why but this is picking up my Son's profile. I'm a single middle aged lass
Thank you for your excellent video.
Thank you, very helpful, and it explains why my one wasn't erected correctly 🤭😀👍🏼
I could see daylight above my patio door, it had dropped that much. Followed these instructions and it is perfect. Thank you !
You're welcome!
👍
Any suggestion if I my door has dropped so much that I cannot open the door to get to the hinge.
Just fixed my door. Nice one mate
I need to take one of these doors off and put it back on again, but i don't know if the door needs unscrewing or if it can be lifted off the hinge. Edit.. it just lifts off 😅
Hello how to replace rubber on pvc door seal double door under the door replacement edging strip
Thanks InfoZhed top bloke! My door latch was catching. Fixed now.
Thanks, mate.
I’ve had a 9 ins cutter and a breaker and core cutter both Titan the breaker / core cutter fell to bits and a toffee hammer would be better ,The 9in cutter very little use and the armature needs replacement .both crap would not buy anything a Titan again.
VEVOR has this one but 2200w for $119USD or a 3500w for $145USD Love mine!
Vevor? Reussian design made in Lithuania?
Thank you for a clear instructed video. I have managed to correct my back door and it closes perfectly 😊
Ah man...life saver
What a legend you are, thank you so much for this quick and easy to follow tutorial. We moved in to a new house and have had a gap in the bottom of the door for a month or so now, I’m handy but had no idea how to adjust the door. Watched your tutorial 10 minutes later the door is done and sealed up tight. With winter on its way and temperatures dropping this will save me a fortune over the coming months. Thank you again. Awesome 😃😃😃
Glad it helped
Oh it looks so easy but the hinges on my door, although they look virtually the same are just impossible. The cover just will not come off and even after giving it a few hefty clouds with a hammer as shown they will not budge. I have managed to get the door locking by fiddling about with the catches on the striker plate but it is all a bit stiff and clunky. Any ideas?
Mine were the same . If you open the door and go outside there is a small screw, undo that and then the cover on the inside slide off away from the hinges . Try that and see if that works mate 😃👍
There is no screw but a slot which you push a screwdriver into and the cover just pops off. Job done, thanks.
It's worth saying here that the direction of turn ( clockwise or anticlockwise ) on the allen bolt seems to be dependent on which side the door is hung. In the above example, the door is hung on the right side. In my case, the door is hung on the left side, and it was only by trial and error that I discovered I had been turning the allen bolt the wrong way. I was turning the bolts clockwise, thinking I was tightening them correctly, only to discover that I was making the problem of door-sag / catching worse. One further observation - not all flag hinges need to have a faceplate removed or internal screws loosened. My own hinges have a port allowing direct access to the allen bolt. Anticlockwise rotation of the allen bolts cured my issue, though it took quite a bit of fiddling before I realised there is actually quite a bit of rotation involved - probably 8 or 10 full turns to correct the sag. Since flag hinges seem to vary in their construction, a bit of trial and error might be needed.
Great observations, thanks for sharing 👍
Yes it has! A hell of a lot - thanks so much
Really helpful
Fantastic. My French doors wouldn't close properly for ages. They now shut perfectly and lock properly. Excellent work.
Thank you for this, our door has been catching since it was installed 10 years ago!
Love the video! Does anyone happen to know what the gold plate is called where the adjustable screws are? Happen to have french doors with the plates which have disintegrated.
Thank you for this as I had the same issue
Ive spent all day trying to align my door 😞
❤....Pur și simplu , m-a captivat această prezentare . Imagini, plus, sunet -comentariu , mi -au dat curajul , de a incerca și eu. 😮 Caci și eu am probleme cu aceste sisteme mini mecanice . Thank you great video 🙏🏻 just fixed my back door it’s been sticking for ages. I was going to get someone to do it for me. But thanks to your assume instructions I got the tools ⚒️ out & did it myself. Feeling chuffed to bits 😁
Brilliant video thanks for the help😊
Cheers mate that was very helpful,I've now got a straight door thanks trev
Thank you.
This video is still helping people out, thanks. I’ve had a sticking shed door for the last 2-3 years and can now finally fix it thanks to this video. I’d but you a beer if I could
Very helpful thank you
It's my lock, it won't lock when it's closed, but when it's opened. Suddenly happened tonight. Hoping it'll work doing this!
Thank you 🎉
Yes, we've all attempted those dodgy cuts on the mitre saw. Love the simplicity of your digit dodger. I've seen a few much more complicated solutions using big chunks of expensive hardwood, drill presses, and inflator valves...you get the idea. Personally, I like to keep it simple.
Brilliant video
What if you can't open the door
But what if I need to move the door up or down. The screw in the bottom of my flag hinges is the compression adjustment. There’s an opening in the top of the hinge but nothing adjustable underneath it, just a flat piece of metal.
Thanks 👍
