The person with the steel pry bar started the engine turning slightly the ratchet socket of that size you can forget about it, Either use 3/4 drive or 1’ drive to use minimum force but with no flex which would happen in a smaller drive,

Man, stuck engines suck. I just picked up an old massey 3165 industrial tractor with loader. Its got the perkins 4 cylinder diesel. Had an upright stack and no rain cap. Dont know how long its been like that, but engine is stuck. Weep hole in exhaust is clear, so im hoping most water made its way out and i can unstuck it without rebuilding. That kinda put a stop for a while to my will it run video. Haha. Like you content. I live seeing these old machines put back to work

My question is, when a cars on it and you have that center pivot point, why isn't there a pin that holds it from turning? If the steering wheel is unlocked, it doesnt need to turn.

You have patience which is great for educating and learning. I would have made my son use a block and do it like I said. You asked him if he should use one, explained the screw portion and watched your advice be discarded. The boy wasted his time and learned, he couldnt even get mad at you like he would have if you made him do it right the first time. Thank you for the parenting education. I will put that in the toolbox.

Hope it worked for you..I tried on a stream fife feet wide, with a damn wall three feet high, with leak on other side of damn, but no idea where it was leaking inside..tried the bentonite..it didn’t work..trying a whole bag of concrete 60 pounds next with putting the whole bag where I think the leak is.

you wanted a reply, so I'm going to tell you a couple secretes that might help your subscribers, etc. I have built and used many water levels in my 30 years of masonry. When trying to layout brickwork you always need the same number of courses wherever you hit the top of a door, window, etc. I always get the tubing at a big box hardware in the plumbing dept. They describe the size on their loose tubing with an I.D. (inside dimension) and O.D. (outside dimension). I generally go with 1/4" I.D. and 3/8 O.D. You can get as much as you want. water will always seek it's own level. I like your buddy's Kool-Aid idea, but I use food coloring. Very important that both ends are open to the air when using so it can freely work'
