Custom Made Tool Box and Tire Carrier for my ZR2

Looks great!
I bought 1.25 and purchases 18x9 with 285 75 r18 think its gonna rub
DSSV sucks and in prices
The Z7 1 shocks you will be better with a roof tent and towing
Next time used Tig Welder once you done you don't need to go back regrinds everything..
Love it
I love my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. We got into an accident last year and folded it in half...I did a frame and tub swap in 8 days. Keep up the good work!
Welcome. Just saw your post on facebook. Be happy to go wheeling with you sometime. Maybe this winter. Most trails are closed about 6 months a year here but some aren’t snd you want find locals who can be a guide.
Welcome back. Been watching you since you were here in Wisconsin. Looks like you have your work cut out for you but you can handle it.
Could you do a detailed video of how to wire the batteries
are you running stock gears?
No I had 4.56 gears in it
In northeast tn there arw too many brainwashed jewp folks. I prefer my 2024 cokorado zr2 truck. I switched out the stock good year territory mulri terrain size 285/70R18 tires to buy some bfgoodrich all terrain ko2 285/75R18 size 34.1 inch tires. Those tires are beast driving in the cherokee national forest and pisgha national forest in ne tn and western nc.
Just put them in upside down fuck them instructions
What I do is have a sheet of pressure treated ply on the bed and screw the packout to that
Good job!! I will do the same thing on my truck, my only question is if it’s gonna change the height of the truck??
Is it safe to stand next to pulling winch cable?
With synthetic line yes, not cable. If you watch any videos of synthetic cable breaking it just falls to the ground, it does not whip like steel does when it breaks.
Nice work thanks for such a detailed video
Simple! Not permanent install on winch or wiring. I think is genius! Thanks for video
1 gauge is not rated for 800 amps and that length will have major voltage drop witch increase ampere draw even more. It’ll work but the higher the load, the more likely you’ll fry something.
Those are 31s ?
Yup!
great work - hoping to make something similar for my Armada!
Man you made such good ZR2 content, have you thought about getting into it again? Like with the ZR2s?
I have thought about it, If I do it will either be a ZR2 that was wrecked in the bed and I would build a rear frame and flatbed, or I might get a z71 and just do small stuff like bumpers and sliders.
@ Sounds great! Will it be with the new gen or old gen
@ probably the old gen, since the main goal would be getting it for cheap
@ man, I sure hope you get back into it! That build idea you have is amazing. What about instead of just a flatbed could you put a tray on it?
@ also if you got you one of those diesels, I hear they are very easily tuned to get a lot of power plus you would already have the heavy duty diesel springs too hold a lot of weight
Please report any safety issues with a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, because I have one & Portfolio or GMC not answering to repair my rear differential under insurance or any term,I paid the Truck for few years 35,000 and I still own,25,000 and it's my only transportation and they don't care about me walking to work for 30 minutes to 1 hour under the heat of Arizona to go to work to continue paying my Auto loan !!! having Portofolio extended Guarantee
I like those method wheels. I own a 2024 zr2 in harvest bronze metallic color. I feel that bronze colored wheels would look good on mt truck versus the stock wheels.
Nice work!
Not my zr2, miss my fx4 level 2 ranger dude. My zr2 is GARBAGE. NEVER had so many problems with a Truck in my 30years
Well built!!
That is BADDASS!!
Awesome!! Thank you!! Been researching this a ton...I have 33"s coming and I wanted to know what the fit would be WITHOUT a leveling kit! I plan on purchasing a BDS 4" lift and they recommend NOT to use a leveling kit with their 4" system!!!
Take a calculator. Multiply 285 * 0.75 that's both side walls. Then divided by 25.4 and that will get you inches of the top and bottom sidewall Add 17 for the wheel, and you go with that figure regardless of what the actual brand and model of tires shows up would measure. You go by the size. Good job thanks thumbs up
Okay but right at first I confused someone on the figure you come up with 285 multiplied by 75 is one side wall so it's doubled and then you add the wheel.
The most amp draw the winch will use is about 450amps, did you find an Anderson plug that can handle that amperage?
Excellent video! I am in WI, and would love to see some of these places someday with my 4Runner! Thanks for sharing all of the details.
Hi there, what is the tool name you are pushing the bolts opposite parts into the trucks bed? Thank you
I would like to try this place out this year with my jeep gladiator. I'd be coming from Minnesota.
what front an rear bumper are those. great driving ...
They are the DIY kits from JCR Offroad
Meow.
I have had a bed in the back of my jeep for about a year. I left the back rest of the back seat in and left it laying down. I started redoing it yesterday and thought id check youtube for ideas. Ultimately ive decided to strip the back rest to the skeleton so i removed the cushion and cover. Im adding plywood to extend it more with some legs for support. It still folds up and down for storage space like original under the back seat. Definitely nice to have a made bed for easy sleeping on adventures. Setting up camp is as easy as opening the hatch.
So the first bracket you screwed in over on the drivers side, What you use it for? 🤔
I see this is 2 years old. I want to upgrade to dana 44's you did not change any mounting brackets? How is it holding up?
I had to do a long arm kit to fix the angle of the control arms, and if i did it again I would have put new coil spring mounts at the correct width for the XJ, other than that the JK axles were great!
He went straight up redneck with the interior
What a Chevy video.
Looks bad ass!!
Great video! Very good job with step by step process for the Dodge guys. Lot of hard work and nice final product. We can do this in the driveway with a mig and plasma cutter. Sturdy and good looking!
Did you have any rubbing in the rear? I’ve got the bushwacker flats on a 6in lift on 35s… they tuck really nicely right now but thinking of going 37s. Don’t really want to do notch flares. Thanks!
Came here years ago for the ZR2, stayed to see where it goes.
Thanks for the support!
How much of a 4x8 sheet of metal do you think you used?
Zr2
Thanks for posting and enjoy SC! Great detail and information - just wondering can I purchase those main mounting brackets?
Anyone could drive around in there. There are a lot of sandy spots and lots of rocks , so air down. Nice park, but the park map is a joke. If you're new, just plan on being lost.
