the cost of that type of work varies widely on the area you are located in, the shop or person you take it to, and also, what else you may need in parts. Sometimes if you begin to experience a grind, you may get lucky by replacing just the synchro but most of the time the slider hub will need to be replaced as well. on average around here most of the guys will charge like $250 to open a casing and inspect. But almost any time a casing gets opened up by the time all the parts are addressed and repaired, on average you will be looking at around 1k. Which today isn't too bad in my opinion based on the inflated transmission market. In other words, you decide between 1k for a fresh transmission or 1k for a transmission you hope wont grind haha.

@projectbteam147 no problem. Can't guarantee that's the problem but it's something I wish I knew to look into before I tried to pull the head and all hell broke loose. I'm gonna try to make a video trying to save my block by drilling it. And keeping the head on.

@ I’d be very curious to see how that turns out. I’m always all in for experimentation.

@projectbteam147 I made a video the other day explaining why the only way to save the block is bore the hole out and use the factory counter bore as new threads. I'm waiting on new tools since I messed up and got the wrong size tap.

The head and block were flat when measured. You don’t always have to resurface them as long as the flatness measures within spec. Somebody seemed to have resurfaced it before when the motor was rebuilt. They were both cleaned very well before the gasket was placed back on and the head torqued down. The bolts did not struggle as much when torquing due to the fact that I brought a compressor home from the shop and i made sure the threads in the block were cleaned 100% and I oiled up the bolts before torquing. I am pretty sure that step was missed when it was last assembled based on how the bolts came out.

That car is still working me. But that just means more content 🤣

@@RobertoGomez-eq8nn the fan does not have to be directly on the condenser. It can be on a the radiator as long as it pulls air through the condenser also.

@@RobertoGomez-eq8nn ok well the del sol I believe has a half radiator and half size condenser if I remember correctly. Just like how I have it on my integra. So you may need to install a fan on your condenser to have it work properly.

@@b18turbo24 I would recommend using a b20 bracket so you can use your civic compressor on it. With the b18 bracket you will be forced to use an Integra compressor.

@projectbteam147 well the thing is..my sedan did not come with anything from factory..so im trying to piece everything out and i recently put a gsr engine dat came with the gsr compressor n bracket. But im not sure if it will work

@@b18turbo24 if you have it it will work but you may have to source Integra lines unless you do the ac tuck kit then it won’t matter.

I will probably go with the ac tucked kit..and keep the gsr comp..thanks for your time..i really appreciate it..
