Not like Ford doesn't realize this is happening. I have a 2024 Power Boost also. Obvious they don't want you doing this add on to your Truck so they've re- programmed the Truck. Probably only works on 2022 and 23's.

i have had my battery replaced 2 times so far in th 2022 F-150 Powerboost. If i don't drive every day, it doesn't even have enough power to do the updates

I love this tent, putting it up and packing the stuff in is the best idea I've come up with because the tunnel cover keeps it in the truck bed and when you get to your location it only takes a few poles and minutes to put up completely.

@@canadiantruckguy363 on a side note: how is yours with regard to condensation? I’m going to have to bring a towel for now on, to wipe mine out every morning. I can’t believe I gotta say this, but it’s TOO waterproof, LOL! Blocks the hell out of wind though…

@RossPotts it's funny you asked this as my 1st trip was so damp inside due to just me breathing in the tent. I now sleep with it mostly open, make sure the wind goes through it as much as possible. 🙂

@@canadiantruckguy363 that’ll change in the really cold weather, LOL! I’m planning some shakedowns where I live, as I’m sure in the mid-Atlantic states, January/February is juuuust a bit more bearable than, say, even Ottawa.

Interesting as my truck did not come.like this from the factory. I'm glad to know that it does on most trucks or even other trucks. This channel is hopefully helping people know what they have or can do. I'm looking for an answer still when it comes to opening my tailgate when the battery dies while having a tonneau cover, just in case there ever is a need to. Would you know Jon0387 and could share?

Leadfoot Grey! With the sports package. I eliminated the Sport sticker and added my own flags. I wish the blackout package was available at the time I ordered to complete the look I was going for. Still thinking about changing the Ford logos to the black/grey colourway.

Are you able to click on "Details" and if so what version do you have? Lastly, do you ever get updated details in the "Ford App"?

@@canadiantruckguy363 Mine doesn't give a version. It only shows, "you are up to date." The app only tells me how to to the updates on the truck... no version, no "up to date"

@RoCDIY interesting 🤔, are you connected to your home wifi and also the Ford Powerups or dealer data share program? I'm connected to everything and say yes to everything and Ford tracks everything I do.

@@canadiantruckguy363 What is that first screen shot at the beginning of your video? Is that from the app? I have never seen that. I am guessing at this point that I don't give Ford enough access and I don't care too, so I will probably not see everything that you do. Not a conspiracy theorist, but I don't care to have them all in my business.

Yes the 1st screen shot is from the app. That would be my guess as well. So you'll basically have to ask your dealer to update each time you're there.

Thank you for your comment. I'm the guy who is using Ford's warranty to fix my truck and I'm hoping not much more will go wrong with it and I can enjoy it without worry. 😊

It for sure is a problem in rural areas. Plugging your phone in will always be better than wireless connections.

Well, it just turned out that way as the rental place just puts you in a truck they have at the moment. But yes it is funny that it's not a Ford.

I get it, these days people are getting more and more used to quiet vehicles thought so maybe in the future you'll feel better about trying it out. 🤔

What did you try out of these suggestions that didn't work? I'm curious to see if they've changed something during the sync 4 updates they've done.

@@canadiantruckguy363 Thank you . The problem has been resolved . I turned on the radio and immediately pressed the steering wheel and the console and it works now. But my car does not have Wi-Fi. So what is work then? I want to update the screen to SYNC 4A

There is a force for an automatic update theory out on UA-cam. I'll look for the video and try to send you the link if I can. Or just search Sync 4 force updates and see what you find. 😊

@@canadiantruckguy363 Yes, the Ford system says that the update is automatic, but my screen system does not have Wi-Fi for the automatic update 😅😅😅😅😅

I'm not sure if there is a test for this issue but based on how many Powerboost owners are having this issue there should be. Unfortunately, it's the towing that caused my issue for sure as before that it was amazing!

OMG, you can't create the delete quick enough it seems as so many Powerboost are having this issue and what I've been told it's just a Powerboost issue as Ford hasn't created a hybrid version yet.

@@cwqrpportable To my understanding this is going to be a Powerboost problem. So in theory this will affect every year. I've heard that Ford hasn't figured out the fix yet and has changed the part # 3 times already. This is the main reason it is on EXTREME back order at the moment. I did see a Ford Bronco Raptor seem to have the same issue though, so who know if it will affect even more than the Powerboost. Fingers crossed it is limited to a certain build plant. I only 2 other 2021 Powerboost truck owners who have reached out to me to say that they're going through the same issue I am currently.

@@canadiantruckguy363 I'm wishing you luck and keeping all my fingers crossed for you. If it's any conselation, even the precious Toyota has suffered these exhaust gas heat exchanger problems in the past, in their Prius.

Thanks for the message and thoughts. Yes the truck is officially going to be left at the dealership and they're giving me a loaner until it's fixed. Let's hope it's not too long as I have lots of camping plans setup and need the truck for them.

I couldn't agree more with that statement as I have all kinds of trips planned throughout the summer that I need the truck for.

@@canadiantruckguy363 they didn’t say I couldn’t pull anything but the truck had NO power to even move let alone a trailer. It was ok for just running around town and very short trips. I didn’t get a loaner as i have another vehicle to drive. I am happy to get mine fixed. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out. I've only had the dash black out on me while on a call. I've never experienced what your stating. The fix for me was simple. Turned off the truck and then opened the drivers door, closed the drivers door and then start the vehicle up again. (Which I believe just resets the system) it hasn't happened to me since. Sorry to hear what happened to you as that would be pretty upsetting. I did see someone have an issue with a blackout screen and a chime constantly going off and it turned out to be the battery. I would have the dealership check this out for you.

If you have an OBDII scanner and have downloaded the ForScan software on your computer you can tweak the settings to eliminate the double honk. "Double Horn Honk disable" under the BCM by tweaking the "6" to a "0" in the code and thia will eliminate this feature.

Do you what software version you have for Sync 4?

I can say that I did have this issue a lot in the past but not as much now based on the latest updates. I can say that it also depends on how I accept the phone call.

It's the camera - sorry for the confusion.

"Cameras at Speed" is what it's called under ForScan. I have not found a way to get rid of the black bar yet. If you find a way please let me know as well.

I recommend it! I did a season last year with it and I'm looking forward to another one this year.

I agree with you that if you maintain your vehicle properly it shouldn't matter where you're getting the maintenance done.

This little mod put the actual temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit for the transmission and radiator instead of just having the gauge show you with the needle at a certain point. Small thing but I like seeing the temperature in #'s.

Did you see my video on forscan? There is a couple of steps in there that can make it work. One is fairly easy and the other one you need to change a few numbers in the code but both work and then it's how you use your key FOB. Maybe let me know what you have done and I can see what I can do to help more

Quick things to look at are always software versions. Do you know what version your Sync 4 is and also what version is your Apple CarPlay? So what I'm trying to make sure is that you have the latest and greatest of both. Sometimes it's the phone that is causing this issue.

Awesome. I'm glad that it worked itself out. Unfortunately, this software is not too stable and has a few too many glitches.

It typically closes down because of bad cellular phone area, I know that seems funny but the software depends on it a lot. 32k nice, I'm @ 28k and if I can ever get this back window to stop rattling I would be loving my truck more.

I typically don't fully open the window too often I just like to Crack the window to get airflow so I thought I should do the whole track. Well I can say that I'm not having much luck with this back window
