The Flame Kings Captive from Moonlight Book Box also has a vellum overlay bound inside with more pretty art. It's easy to miss since they bound it so well. It was a nice surprise for me when I was flipping through my book.

I love this design! I agree it’s a thriller not a horror. I’m currently on the waitlist ( as of today) and I’m hoping it doesn’t take 5 years for me to get off it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Personally I LOVE this SE tho.

I haven't read The Flatshare but I have read The Switch by the same author and it was one of my favourites from last year!

Fourth Wing stands out, as my best book of 2023. Others were Other People's Houses by Abby Waxman, A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine, Astrophysics For People In A Hurry by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. My best books; so far, this year; Daughter Of Smoke And Bone by Laini Taylor, The Unmaking Of June Farrow by Adrienne Young, The Sword Of Kaigen by M.L. Wang, and the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik.

I have BB and I'm in the US recently my books have been arriving damaged as well. It sucks because like you mention they just stick some of the books in a bubble mailer with not enough packaging to keep them from moving around. I've been pretty lucky w/the BB CSR that's handled my emails she's been nice and I have had to ship back my books and wait a little over a month for a replacement. I like their books but it's just disappointing how many problems they have. They are sending new dust jackets for the Ruthless Boys set because the art was messed up. I don't remember which ones but there was at least 2 that characters had missing limbs. I deeply regret not finding Moonlight book box in time to order that book. I'm on the waitlist for spares. I got an invite to their subscription but missed my window to accept so I'm back on the wait list. I'm excited for the Beasts of the Briar books I ordered from them to arrive.

I've been out of the loop for a while but I remember when S.T. Gibson first published Dowry of Blood with a small publisher with a basic but beautiful cover, then move it to a bigger publisher, then moving onto new projects and getting such a pretty design in this loot create, seeing her go so far in her journey is such an inspiration! But I have to agree, some of the quality seems to have gotten worse with some loot boxes in general, and they try to cover it up with offering more pretty images.

I’m one of the few who love this design! I’ve read the book and it was my favourite read from the Evernight subscription so far! A quick easy, read, and I gave it five stars! Not really scary, more fun and retro, and once I’d read it I understood the design vibes! Hope you’re well! X

The Sting replica dagger is not true to the movie sword, but it is instantly recognizable. I appreciate the designers' take on it. I thought the Tempest Of Tea book is very pretty. You don't get that many red books. I was fairly happy with the Illumicrate box, except for the plant pot. I don't keep small plants, so...but the book is beautiful.

Omggggg the endpapers for A tempest of tea are absolutely gorgeous and they actually represent what is going on in the book at the beginning and then at the end, ahhh that is so amazing. Sadly, I just finished this book and it is a bit...lukewarm. For me. It does feel slightly like six of crows but...ehhh, nope. I am sure there are many people loving it but nah. Six of crows is the one and only!

i feel like i am one of the few that hates the original design and loves this one. I ordered the limited edition from owlcrate but it won't ship until april. I never get the comparing books to others really, if I know the book i'll look it up read the synopsis and if it appeals to me i will then order it and i have yet to get a book I haven't liked. Yes I have liked some more than others, but never disliked out of frustration or because it is not what i expected. I'm still waiting to join any subscription boxes because of the wait lists but I have been lucky enough to snag the ones I have enjoyed online somewhere else. I hope you enjoy both of them they both look great.

I’m really disappointed in the FairyLoot book for March. I may try to sell mine and just buy the original cover. It’s prettier imo.

When illumicrate do a theme month like this it is always AMAZING. They really do fabulous items. And the book is gorgeous. I only got it for the book pot and im not disappointed. I love another pot plant!! Might use it for highlighters lol. And the art on the book makes me want to read it. Fairyloot I actually like the book, I really like the new cover and edges. But the items are meh. I won't use the soap dish or book protector (it is pretty though but I like illumicrates ans already have two), the croc charms are... a choice... and the dagger is cute but illumicrate does way better daggers for quality (except for that feb trident... not for me)

I am running out of Fairyloot skips and really wanted to skip this month - have already read A Tempest of Tea and, like you, enjoyed Six of Crows...sadly, this book just didn't cut it for me...But that cover for Fathomfolk. Wow...gorgeous!

Illumicrate won for me too! But I’m probably biased as ocean books and vibes are my thing!! I also thought the Fairyloot cover was a bit boring, especially compared to last month! I am interested to see what the adult book will look like this month when that arrives!
