    • @TheAcefirearms
      @TheAcefirearms 3 місяці тому

      That's based off the rear being square. If the rear isn't square it's going to be rear steering through the curses. Nothing worse than rear steer on asphalt or hard pack. Great for tight turning but not a speed. I would look into adjustable rods to get the rear squared back up before doing the front alignment.

      The grease is very expensive. The grease used was cheap grease. In the video I stated the bearings were junk that I was greasing. It's actually a lot cheaper to buy the double sealed skf bearings. You can buy probably 8 skf bearings for the price of one tube of the oem recommended grease.

    Ace Fire the bearings themselves are not “one way” bearings right? So what actually controls or stops them from spinning in both directions? Personally I run a CVTech TrailBloc on my XMR & know them inside out, but currently helping my cuz with his 2007 800 Max BTW great video & I can’t believe how many geniuses missed you clearly saying the bearings are junk & you’re just re-packing it for video purposes. No you have to use a separator with the puller bolt in the primary. The inner and outer on the turbo clutch has a square wedge fit. I used some 1” x1/8” aluminum flat bar up inside the fender with 1/4”x3/4” bolts with lock nuts. Got it all mounted up tight then used a straight edge and razor knife to cut them even with the outside of the tires. Those had been on sense 2012. And still pretty much in the same form as day one. I actually let the machine go about two months ago so no way to get and pics . Sorry but I will look for the mat.

    Did you have on the replacements Springs on or did you also have the lift kit on too?

    • @TheAcefirearms

      ut1004bp only video with a lift is the commander max. It had lift and springs . Silver commander xt and fox shocks no lift. The Max has the xt medium springs and lift .

      Yes, Planning to upgrade my 2016 800r DPS suspension, don't think you can with Xt shocks either, but I don't intend to push the speed as such. Mostly trails, trees, rocky areas and slow to moderate speeds. I would think a 2 inch rear extension would in a big help for you type of driving

      ut1004bp those are xt shocks on that machine .

    • @TheAcefirearms
      @TheAcefirearms 6 років тому

      Sorry when I view these comments it shows the video but no title. But I can tell you that the xt shocks are about 8 mph slower through that section . 46 mph in xt and 55 to 58 on Fox. And if you are just trail riding the xt springs are worth the money. If your racing through the woods then yes fox it is.

    I took my one way bearing out just after I got my bike and added more grease to it because there isn't much grease in them to start with.

  • @TheAcefirearms

    Brp says it’s a one use bolt. I personally used mine three times before replacement. As for the 14 up being double sealed. I just replaced bearings in a 15 Maverik at the last roundup and they were still single sealed. Commander and mav both use sane bearings . So guessing 14 and up isn’t true.

    • @wowchad
      @wowchad Рік тому

      @Ace Fire the bearings themselves are not “one way” bearings right? So what actually controls or stops them from spinning in both directions? Personally I run a CVTech TrailBloc on my XMR & know them inside out, but currently helping my cuz with his 2007 800 Max BTW great video & I can’t believe how many geniuses missed you clearly saying the bearings are junk & you’re just re-packing it for video purposes. It’s unfortunate but does help explain why so many how-to videos have the comments turned off :-/

      @TheAcefirearms Рік тому

      @@wowchad there two cups with springs that hold pressure against the bearing housing. The housing is stepped with a slope. That allows it to only turn in one direction. If you try to turn it the other direction. The cups hit the step side and it stops it from turning .

    is it true that you can only use the primary clutch bolt 1 time & it needs to be replaced everytime also brp says the bearings are sealed on both sides 2014 and up do you know if that is true?

    • @TheAcefirearms
      @TheAcefirearms 7 років тому

      Thomas Ellis yes big improvement over stock weak springs. It took many spring changes to come up with the dual configuration. But unless you want to spend 2000+ on fox or other shocks . That's the closest thing you can do.

    If the one way bearing is wore out would it cause an extremely high pitched squeal when the bike is decelerating?

    • @TheAcefirearms
      @TheAcefirearms 8 років тому

      will oakes I possibly could but I have never seen or ran one that long. It will make for hard shifting if they need serviced and noisy while shifting.
