Watched a bunch of these alignment videos. Your video seemed to make the most sense to me for accuracy. Thanks for posting it. Doing it on my Teryx tomorrow.

    Great stuff ACE!
I adjusted the toe differently after replacing the tie rods and ball joints on my 2005 Polaris but I'm going to double check it using your method. Thanks!

Great video. Its folks like you who are the unsung heroes of our country. 12 suits would sit around and explain why you need a $3500 machine, when really you got about 40 bucks in every tool you used, and I'd bet it does as good a job or better! Well done.

If you want to fix the rear. You can take and and square the wheel and move the hole for the trailing arm. Use a new weld washer. But if you want to square the string you measure the rim lip in back side to the frame if it's a 1/4" in on front of wheel move strung out 1/4" on the string side to adjust for the rear toe. There are some other ways to do it just on the front but very time consuming. But if you want a true alignment the rear really needs to be square. The rear being out of square means that even if the front is square the rear is still trying to turn. Hope that helps.

it will duplicate to front. which is why I explained in previous reply how to fix rear issue. and how to measure the rear to square the string if rear is not aligned from factory.

How does that get it in lne my rear wheel are off bad from each other I just put new radius rods on it so I'd I run a string off back wheel the strings crooked and outta wack

That's based off the rear being square. If the rear isn't square it's going to be rear steering through the curses. Nothing worse than rear steer on asphalt or hard pack. Great for tight turning but not a speed. I would look into adjustable rods to get the rear squared back up before doing the front alignment.

Surprised no one has asked this, but what if the back wheels are misaligned? would that not be a good reference?

poop it’s a heavy 1/4 shop floor mat / belt . Bought it at one of the local Industral supply shops in town . It’s a insulation mat capable if stopping 1200 volts from grounding. Flat on one side and has vanes on the other . Don’t know exactly what they call it I just told them what I needed and that’s what they brought to the counter.

Is it a belt for moving stone in a quarry? Do you have any pics and also How are you attached it or can you give me an email address or I’ll give you my phone number I’d like to see a video a picture mine has a widebody kit on it and I get covered in mud

poop let me look when I get home . I think I still have a piece of that mat laying around . It’s not a belt it’s a mat for floors or bench tops. They used it at the mines anywhere there was a electrical disconnect for standing on to insulate your body from the ground. I used some 1” x1/8” aluminum flat bar up inside the fender with 1/4”x3/4” bolts with lock nuts. Got it all mounted up tight then used a straight edge and razor knife to cut them even with the outside of the tires. Those had been on sense 2012. And still pretty much in the same form as day one. I actually let the machine go about two months ago so no way to get and pics . Sorry but I will look for the mat.

Doesn’t matter on tire size . You measuring from the wheel to get it square .
