Before Elon took over, I was permanently banned from twitter with no recourse to re-join on my phone with no explanation as to why. When I got a new phone, I signed up for twitter again, and was constantly being put in 'time outs' for questioning 'woke' opinions. Sadly, cancel culture, or what could be called proto forms of cancel culture on both the Left and the Right, go back further than even your examples from the 20th century. The earliest example of cancel culture on the Right I can think of (if it even still is cancel culture at that point of extremity and left vs. right is even applicable to politics that far back) is the Inquisition in Medieval Europe. On the other hand, I'd argue that cancel culture on the Left goes as far back as when the French Revolution turned nasty in 1792. Cancel culture scares me in that the worst form it has taken on the Right so far is fascism and the worst form it takes on the Left is in the form of Lenninism and the different forms of totalitarian "communist" regimes/ideologies that have come out of Lenninism.

Hello! I think you made this video from a great place, and I appreciate you promoting more democratic and left ideas. However, I think the actual policy you're suggesting would be ineffective and approaches the problem from the wrong angle. Not to say I oppose workplace democracy I full heartedly support it and we should fight for its implementation. My problem comes from how you suggest that we fix the issues of a lack of workplace by using government regulations and tax breaks to support things like cooperative businesses. The largest problem with that is it would never happen because liberal governments serve to support and uphold capitalism so they will oppose these types of reforms unless given no other options (like in Sweden, Norway, etc. because of pressure from the USSR). The other issue is that doing this even if successful (arguably and depending on scale like if every business was made fully democratic this probably would not apply) it would still be capitalism just with a kinder face, all the exploitation would still be present just exported abroad to third world countries and the capitalists that remain would fight tooth and nail to undo these policies as is happening in the Scandinavian countries currently (since there is no longer a socialist country right next door). This is why actual Socialism (which is 100% democratic despite what the name Democratic Socialism implies) is the real solution.
