What it’s like working a 7-hour night shift at Subway in Sydney, Australia
Hi guys! In this video I’m gonna show you what a 7-hour night shift at Subway looks like in Australia (as a supervisor). I came to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa and work here full time to obtain my second visa in order to stay another year in Australia.
I’m extremely happy with my job, the conditions and my coworkers and so far it has been one of the best times here. I couldn’t be more grateful for this journey and the opportunity to share what happens to be a big part of my daily life with you. I don’t say it often enough but I appreciate every single one of you so so much. Thank you for all the support! :)
Without you, I really don’t know if I would’ve came this far.
Disclaimer:
I obtained permission to film
All the filming took place on quiet days and didn’t disrupt my work
My manager and coworkers are aware of my UA-cam channel
No customers or coworkers were effected by this
I have a great relationship to everyone including my manager who I work with on a daily basis
I gifted my manager a pack of chobani oat milk barista edition and she loved it :)

Anyone down to go to Australia this November?
wow I love your journey!! you should go to New Zealand while you are so close.
Hi my husband is German citizen. We have been living in Perth WA and some regional areas in WA there are so many work available here for WHV and pays good and fair. Even higher salary in some remote area. Let me know if you need one I know some Owner who is seeking workers. I also have been working with so many backpacker when I was just started in Australia.
Hi, I'm interested. Is it possible to get me in touch with the owner or put me on the right path, thanks.
The goal of human form of life is serving God & going back to Him ❤, yes , you explore an interesting country but try to do devotional services for God ❤
Palm cove is my favourite place
Go to NT..you will be treated with kindness, respect and appropriate work practices. 24 yr resident..love to my fellow Territorians.
@4:40 looks like ebichu from oruchuban ebichu
Working 12 hours outdoors on a farm field is absolutely insane! It shouldn’t even be legally allowed as it is really back breaking work. 15 minutes LUNCH break?!!! Should be getting at least 40 minutes lunch break plus 15 minutes breaks every two hours paid!!! Unbelievable what they can get away with 🤬
You should practice Krishna consciousness! That is the solution! Building eternal relationship with God & his eternal assosiates! With love
This is the sort of person us Aussies want to stay, a kind, polite person who wants to work and contribute. I sympathize with your plight at times as the cost of living really bites it is tough. My Partner is from Colombia and she is a student visa so she is restricted to 24 hours a week. You are such a sweet person :) stay safe and subbed.
The manager doesn't sound like an Australian.
Im not sure if u forgot to put your hairnet on before you prep the food.
Nice vid!
As a new Vegan (although I have been vegetarian for 14 years) I am really enjoying your cooking videos as it gives me lots of ideas
I dont know what your long term plans are in Australia but my cousin did a very similar route to you. Struggled in the regional areas, ended up working at Subway and doing very well there and becoming a manager. Eventually getting a visa to live in Australia and now has a corporate job with a wonderful family. Hope whatever path you take works for you.
As an Aussie I was pretty surprised at that first question from the Aussie lady "Where are you from?". I wasnt totally sure what she was getting at.
Australia's hidden shame ....more needs to be done to stop this form of slavery
hey babe let ,s hangout
I have to admit how Sydney siders have become less friendly over the past few years. I have lived here all my life but feel now Sydney is a really tough place to be on your own. Not much community support because ppl are so busy and stressed. Everyone keeps to themselves mostly. All the best to you adjusting. A coastal town might be more welcoming
That managers accent sounded South African 🤔🤔🤔. Hmm..edit that. Could be Indian
4:04, Chow down, you earned that food Girl 😘😘😍😍
My Strawberry Lady, she's not Lazy 💕💕😍😍
Sorry to hear about your experience. I'm not sure who to report the farm to (fair work? immigration?) i'm shocked after what you go through daily, they ask for the money they pay workers back?! makes me so angry !!
That is disgusting. Perhaps report this employer.
Google "RSE Scheme New Zealand." The best (worst) thing I heard was on a Kiwifruit orchard in Motueka, Golden Bay was when one of the orchard owners told the Vanuatu men "Don't join the Union, I'll look after you boys." 😂😂😂 YEAH, RIGHT.
I love you 😊
I thought subway made their own bread :/
u put too much water for that rice
Shame your not in Melbourne, I have a cleaning business and pay the award which currently is $31.21 per hour, wish you the best
I am Binge-watching all your videos 🙈, it's so soothing, the bg music is relaxing, great editing, and you look gorgeous both inside and out.. keep rocking girl
❤❤
I'm from Australia but lived in America and can tell you don't have the full American accent but you also do not sound German either.
This is so awesome to see you’re in a better job! (Im the one who offered a tattoo from fortitude valley :p ) keep up the awesome work! 💗💗🐈
Straberry picking is the hardest job in the world, I gave up after 15 minutes Well done 2 u.
Just letting you know, it's illegal to record the voice of another party without their consent in Australia. If your employer sees this video, they could use it against you in court. Fines are huge and even 5 years of imprisonment is a max penalty
I can already here some Australian accent coming out haha
r you single?
Being so limited on time, im wondering why you would poor the smoothie into a cup? thats double the dishes. min max you day, less dishes = more free time.
Love❤
well done for shifting jobs... keep at it
The sound of her teeth biting the spoon made me shiver 🫣 yeah those picking jobs can be real scams both in Aus n NZ. Its y they hire tourists and pacific islanders from the islands.
Immigrants are the hardest workers in Aus. The only reason why the government places these requirements on visas is because Australians are too lazy to do these jobs.
I love this, and your new hair haha
You need to be a little more gentle with who you throw those strawberries in the tray
You should have come to Australia on a boat through the back door from Indonesia, the government would have given you citizenship, a free house, lots of money and a promise you will never need to work in your life, the Australian taxpayer will take care of your needs 😅
Bro that banana wasnt little😢
That looks alot better than working in the farm, out of the sun! Was good to see nosey at the start of the video :P
damn tahts crazy subway makes less than a thousand a day
U in the wrong country cuzzy
ur ears are cute
