The amount of people who don’t understand how these farms work and exploit people is shocking. You get crammed into houses together which you pay for and as part of the farm you have to live in. Some charge you transport costs which once again are a ridiculous amount. Then as you said they threaten to withhold money if you are deemed too slow. Guarantee all the people saying it’s fine get over it would t last a week getting treated half as bad as people do on these farms for months on end

Do backpackers have to work on farms? There are 1000’s of normal good paying jobs available in Australia, I don’t understand why they can’t work anywhere? What you said about having to pay them back is totally illegal, all you need to do is take that info to fair work Australia and show them any of these paybacks on your bank statements and also record that in, then name & shame, they will be put out of business

Unfortunately your experience is pretty typical. Australia is quite a desireable country to live in so we take advantage of people trying to live here with such an unfair process. The pay from the famers is often illegal and they often own the properties they make you stay in so what little money you earn goes back to them anyway. It's a shady system that the government mostly turns a blind eye towards.

Dear if you in need of good free food then look for a Sikh Gurudwara sahib (place of worship). Some Gurudwara Sahib also has free shelters, and available almost all around the world, only wear full length clothes,cover your head with a hankie and do not bring any kind of tobacco or Liquor with you when you go there, Sat sri Akaal 🙏

Hi I'm from new zealand 🇳🇿 now living and working as personal trainer in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Mondays to Fridays 50hr weeks and I take my daughters out strawberry picking on a Saturday for some spending money 7 to 3 they get payed at the end of the day they enjoy it 😊 but to be honest I don't🤦 I prefer to just pick them and just eat it lol 😅😂
