Pt6 | LAMBRETTA CUTDOWN | FORK REBUILD
Pt6 of the Lambretta cutdown. We have decided to rebuild the GP forks with outboard shocks. Yes that means the cutdown will run a Scomadi front end. We will show you the process of how we get the positioning correct on the fork mounts, plus the process of how to get everything set up and aligned with out building a jig.

The crazy things about Adie's scooter is the engine capacity is only 150cc, and it is air cooled! Imagine if this fitted with the liquid-cooled 150cc BFA Aprilia type cylinder, Guess too much power to handle

These heavily modified scoots are crap. I bet he who had done all the ghastly mods, did not care a bit about the bent frame, just the show part of his botch-up.
@@78a67h most of these old frames have been crashed at some stage over the years and inevitably get bent. I suspect that the last owner may have known the condition of the frame and that’s why they sold it on. 🍺👍😀

CAD (Cardboard Aided Design), grurning (combining angle grinder and lathe - try it), bondo sculpture, MDF jigs, hammer forming, CNC (Complete Numpty Control), and rattle canning are some of my skills, finely honed over several minutes and seconds of dedicated practice. Us bodgeneers must stick together. The 3D printing mob are out to get us.

Do the shocks have to be that way up Or will they leak? Just thinking, if they will be OK upside-down, might be an idea to put the narrower end at the bottom and you might be able to bring them in closer to the legs.
@@Herbybandit they have to be the correct way up because of the internal valves.
It’s only a rough mock up at mo, We’ll definitely try to bring em in a bit when we work out the spacer distance, aiming to get them as close to the fork leg without binding 👍🏼

I don’t like the white seat, the “spoiler” on the back is too big. The black seat “spoiler” provides a better aesthetic balance. The mid range tank looked good too. 👍🛵

Personally I’d go with a slimline long range tank 🤷🏻♂️ just to go with the cut down look. That’s only if you have one of course. Make your own seat to run with frame will look a lot better. It’s your guys bike so you do it how you like just chucking in my 2 pence. Keep up the good work.
