The Sinbad Genie Movie Isn't Real - Change My Mind! #sinbad #mandelaeffect

Did Sinbad make a movie called Shazam? The Mandela Effect is a type of false memory that occurs when many different people incorrectly remember the same thing. It refers to a widespread false memory that Nelson Mandela died in prison in the 1980s. Memories are not always precise recordings of events. Watching Trading Places (1983) | Why It's Still GREAT! #eddiemurphy
It never existed. People are so smug and arrogant that they’re even going so far as to saying that there’s a separate timeline and all evidence of the movie has vanished!! The gubment did it!! 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I just saw your mini-doc here for the first time. Thanks 👍, for the insight and background information. Personally, I feel that The Thing is right up there with The Shining for the two best horror movies of the 1980's. Both of them, though, were probably the two best PSYCHOLOGICAL horror films of the period. They incorporated the sound and visual elements of what makes horror truly great.
Thanks a lot 💯
Just saw this for the first time a few months ago on Creature Features UA-cam channel. Good movie and it really has the feel of the outback that can’t be replicated here in the US
You're absolutely right, it just feels Australian!
A pleasure listening to an insightful discussion of this film. Oh, andit wasn't Mac that called out the Norris headspider, it was Palmer who, at that point, was already a Thing himself. But watch Norris and Palmer exchange looks when Nauls says that Mac is a Thing, it was like: "I didn't do it, did you do it?" And, I never noticed this before, but when the blood hits the floor, during the test, you can see a bunch of model kits and a jigsaw puzzle on the shelf.
I've heard that Carpenter had the cast spend a week together before he even started shooting, just to give them that feeling of familiarity that the characters would have after spending time together at the station.
Yep, i remember seeing this movie ! Thought it was great!!
I tell my friends about this movie and they think I'm crazy.
🤣🤣 don't you just hate that lol
I am pretty sure Spielberg watched it and called it "Jaws on trotters"
🤣🤣
My great uncle is in this. He's sitting in the pub. Filmed around broken hill and silverton (where my fam is from).
Oh, cool!
Wow! That is fantastic!!
Great review. I'd argue that loss of "tv atmosphere" happened to bigger budget movies too after 1990s.... everything looks cheaper than in past even when the movie has +200 million budget.
Thanks a bunch, and you're right! I've always enjoyed the "TV Movie" look and fee. Another movie with that feel is Carpenter's Children of the Damned
I grew up watching this movie back in the early 90s. Diffidently a classic to me. If the film had come out a few years earlier pre Terminator 2 it could have done fairly well. But, overall its an enjoyable movie. Leave your brain at the door and just enjoy it for what it is. I could imagine this being a battle tech movie set on Solaris 7 for a gladiator fight. Actually, that sounds like a good enough plot to me.
You went full geek with your Battletech reference sir, I salute thee 🫡
This and Day of the Dead (1985). This for the comedy, the other for the bleakness.
💯💯💯
Twin films have been around since the film industry began, but the first time I noticed the phenomenon was in the 90s with Armageddon/Deep Impact. So most of the twin films I remember were in the 90s Antz/a bugs life, Wyatt Earp/Toumbstone, Dante’s Peak/Volcano. Perhaps the Mandela effect is causing people to just mentally assume that there is a twin film to Kazaam?
Good observation 👍🏾
The answer is yes. If you have a kid having nightmares from seeing a scary movie you show them this movie and ask them, "Which monster is scary, this monster or that monster?" Works every time.
... man I remember this movie as a kid... what a great decade for movies with kids as the main characters.... another great movie that this retrospective brought to mind was 1985s fantasy/scifi movie 'The Explorers'...
Explorers was definitely a fun film for it's time
Good ass review fellas. Definitely a black horror classic I always love revisiting.
💯💯💯
I would’ve loved to make a direct deposit.
🤣🤣🤣
I grew up watching this on the Disney channel with my brother and sister. "Don't make me baaarf" and "probably your breath blowing back into your face" are lines we still quote to each other. It's funny how his little train track attachment for his bike filled me with wonder as a kid. Ah the good Ole days before CGI, simpler times!
Much simpler lol
I thought I was the only one who remembered this gem. Grew up with this movie. It disappeared for the longest time. Long enough for me to think I might've made the whole thing up, but then I came across a digital copy a few years ago and it was fun to revisit it.
🤣 I know the feeling, I was an adult before I ran into another person that has seen "The Stuff" lol
@@stevesmgt 😆
This film gave me thalassophobia the same way that IT gave me coulrophobia.
I’ve got a phobia of people that have too many phobias they acquired from movies. Sounds like you’re scared of the movies buddy….
I really like this movie and at the time I was a Jim Carrey fan! I also have seen it more than twice!😊
I don't think I've ever heard "Black fella" used as a slur, especially when there are plenty of other derogatory terms, and I've heard both black and white fella's use it, though admittedly less so now. But then i don't hear words like "dinkum" or "cobber" either, unless someone is being especially cringe Fun fact, we have a plant called Xanthorrhoea plants, also known as Balga Grass Plants. ‘Balga’ is the Aboriginal word for black boy I remember back in the 80's, my brother came home from a camping trip and showed some some fronds that he'd picked off the plant, when i asked where he got them, he said "I got em off a black boy" I was like "???.....what?"
I haven't thought of this movie in years, dammit man
Glad to help 😂
The movie you're showing is not real. Shazam didn't have a Boom box. That was Shaq. Sinbad came out of a lamp. Link to real footage here. ua-cam.com/video/tD0rchvuoMU/v-deo.htmlsi=qGErjG-n6df0GKdZ
The link is footage from the 2017 April fool's prank.
I had this as a kid. I have a copy of it on VHS now too
Did not know this was from the same director of The Reanimator and From Beyond.
Did not know this was from the same director of The Reanimator and From Beyond.
Lol "black filla" what's wrong with that. I swear one day y'all will complain about POC.
I don't recall complaining, just that I didn't remember there being that many references in this movie
Fair enough. I guess back than no one really cared.
I would rent the vhs all the time.
Saw this movie when i was little and had forgotten about it except for a memory of a kid thinking there is a monster in a body of muddy water but it turns out to be something else altogether. Eventually found the movie a few years ago after some Google searching with keywords. The 80s had some great forgotten movies.
Yeah, I couldn't remember the name of the movie and just happened to find it randomly online
Oh I remeber this move very well.
It's stil fun to watch. The three big horror comedies I watched many times in my teens were this one, Evil Dead II and Bad Taste. It was a bit of an era for that kind of movies the second half of the 80's.
Absolutely!
Yep and Tamsin West starred in the original kids' series Round the Twist, which was great.
Yes, yes and yes!!! Love this movie. Kind of scary in its own way. 😊😊😊
Yeah and it's literally never spoken about lol
People are sick for feeding this shit No ai or anything was even needed to trick people into believing this
Great voice, new subscriber
Thanks 👍🏾
Same 😂
Man, Steve….you’re killin it with these videos! Awesome! How about Ice Pirates? Peace
Hey thanks, that means a lot 💯💯💯
Thank you for talking about this film! I do recall seeing it when I was around 6 or 7, but couldn't remember the title or the main actor!
You're absolutely welcome 👍🏾
5:27 I struggled with reading and writing when I was in school and this is one of my favorite movie phrases. “I can’t read but I’m not dumb. Don’t pull that Shiitake Mushrooms with me. 10 fights is 10 fights.” I can read now of course but I still have trouble with spelling at times. (I went with Shiitake Mushrooms so not to get in trouble with the UA-cam gods)
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Best. Comment. Ever.
One of my favorite movies from my childhood. Have it on DVD. I wish there was model kits or action figures for this movie. Crash and Burn 👍
That would be clutch!
Where in the world was I when you saw this movie, cause I never heard of it??😂😂
You were around lol
They are still doing it, even claiming Creative Commons and Public Domain music! Right now I'm fighting against them.
I forgot Anne-Marie Johnson was in this🤣🤣🤣
I know right! 🤣
Have I seen it? I saw when it came out, I have the DVD and the Bluray versions, I also have the (unofficial) sequels, "Robot Wars" and "Crash and Burn". The latter are both kind of "meh", but still fun 90's B-movie cheese.
Yeah I think I've seen Robot Wars, but I certainly haven't seen Crash and Burn, I'll need to check them out!
Eddie opened the door so much and broke barriers…such an awesome movie…other films u may like, my cousin Vinny, nuns on the run.
I love My Cousin Vinny, went to the movies to see it 💯💯
Macready is the thing, this is confirmed by the games which are canon
Great campy movie.
My pops and i still consider this the worst movie ever made 😂
🤣🤣
Dude, you need to lower the volume on those transitions. They are way too distracting. It would improve the viewing experience a lot.
