For anyone who wants to take the side quarter panels off to replace speakers or for whatever reason, be prepared to swear and generally hate life for a bit. The rear panels are an absolute dick to deal with. Also, mine(RS5 Coupe) had a cable attached for the fold down mechanism so it’s basically tethered. This video did help me get most of the way, so thank you kindly for posting this!

Ive been following you for past 5 years, ive returned to Scotland from Spain where i was for 11 years had a Fiat Barchetta and Coupe. So i am blaming you for my latest purchase !! 1997, Porsche 986 ! Got it for £2000, no mot, but nothing major wrong with it. Ive started checking everything!!

I have the buttons and I have also in MMI activated the Audi Drive Select option on Audi A4 B8. If I change on buttons nothing change on MMI and viceversa, if I change in meniu at MMI nothing changed on buttons. Not understand, which works now ?

The best and most pleasurable car I ever owned was the Coupe Turbo Plus in Ink Black. Every part of the car is piece of art and as Car magazine once wrote “Every decade a car manufacturer goes mad and offer so much for so less.” That was exactly my feeling every time I press the aluminium starter bottom and no matter what state I would be in it just get forgotten and a big grin is on my face ❤❤❤❤

I have the same engine as you, my camshaft is broken and need a new one put in and a new timing belt do you know how much the timing belt needs to be tightened and how much my camshaft bolts need to be tightened

fun fact! the ea211 engine series (1.0l to 1.6l vw group engines) has the camshafts integrated into the valve cover. The cams cannot be removed from this cover.

Anyway, if these was me doing a major job like that, I would give consideration to having a slope of minimum 2 degree's to a max slope of 4 degree's from the rear leading towards the front. Therefor, allowing for any water during a rain or storm penetrating under and around the door. I trust also that interlocking stone is also set to shed water away to the street???

Can’t find anything trusty online, found one only “Audi multimedia” mask containing right placed ADS buttons, without any sort of plugs and wires. Do you think it could work? does it change anything if the ADS buttons are on the right or left?

You change a thermostat because it's new and nice, I can promise you that I don't do it here in DK, the thermostat can't be found anywhere for my 2.0 16V without turbo, the only one I can find is one on ebay for 500 EUR and it's not going to happen, is there a chance you know a place where I can buy one for human money.
