Making a Tree Resin Keychain with Laser Cut wood | JMKDIY
Переглядів 11 тис.5 років тому
Here's a short video of my first time working with epoxy resin. I know the finished product has flaws like bubbles, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. process: I designed a simple tree pendant in affinity design, imported the svg into inkscape, and tweaked the colors there to work with k40 whisperer(software for my laser cutter). I lasercut two identical pendants and epoxied them togethe...

With the tips I give in this video the pro...

This is a very great video, thank you!
Thankfully this was the first video I clicked on. Due to the other comments, I didn't have to waste my time watching any others! Exactly what I needed to hear!
Simple but unique!!!
Thank you for such easy and clear instructions, it seems like all the videos showing this overcomplicate this Way more than necessary. ❤
You saved me!! THANK YOU!!!!
I am completely new to using a circuit machine. I have watched so many videos (waiting to hear someone explain to beginners) which side of the vinyl goes face down onto the circuit mat. But have found no videos that give that very important information for beginners. So I'm hoping that someone here will answer that question for us beginners. Your answers are greatly appreciated.
Hey there. For vinyl like in the video, you’re going to have it facing upwards, sticking the back of the vinyl to the mat.
@@JMKDIY thank you for answering; and for such a speedy reply. Thank you for your easy to follow instructions.
huh i do have a sensor is behind where the tube is ... the wires are lose moved it a bit there and it worked... hmmm someone glued it but it seems the glue somehow melted i guess now i got to fiddle it everytime i turn the machine on.
Nice. Well done. I am looking to transfer a picture I’ve taken to software and do what you’ve done with your turtle and size it to put on the back cab of my truck. Can this be done! Looking for suggestions. Thank you.
My K40 is not firing changed the jumps still not firing.but when I place some on the mirror it fires
Loved it
Hi I'm John my k40 laser not firing when you high the power 30% to 99.9% won't work, what should I do?
is there a way to make it transparent
Thank you for the hint of the test switch on the PCB, that is bypassing all protection measures. The problem on my K40 was not the water flow, but the microswitch on the case was not pressed down enough. Pressing the test switch on the PCB made the laser tube emitting light, so I knew the tube was functional. Then the other "Test"-button on the outside did not
How about outdoor removable vinyl? I would assume you can mirror it and apply on the inside of a car or house window?
20cm by 30cm is a joke. Buy a diode laser instead.
I’m having the same issue with the same machine I’ve done the bypass with the jumper and nothing is happening. I’ve installed a new tube also
My issue is: my laser fires in the home position to about 3” in width… after that the laser moves, I see the red dot, but nothing happens thereafter until it makes its way around the bottom of the design back toward the far left and picks right back up from 3” out to completion. What in the world could cause that????
Most likely a mirror calibration issue.
Thank you for the straight up tutorial without any additional talking on how not to, etc. How do you apply the decal to the inside of glass window where you can read a font from outside the glass?
That was very helpful. Do you get a certain type of transfer paper?
Omtech is awesome to deal with super fast Shipping
How about making them for inside decals for cars
Thanks friend. My laser didnt fire up. Since I wached your video I was able to fix it up. In my case I had mistakenly interchanged water inlet and outlet
Thanks for the vid. A couple questions. First, shouldn't you seal this to help it to not breakdown in the sun & weather? Maybe a polyurethane spray on top after it's cut. Other sealing options? To help protect the decal, wouldn't it make more sense to mirror the image and then apply the transfer tape on top so the decal could be applied to the inside of the window? Sealing would be more difficult but at least the decal is protected from the elements (not necessarily the sunlight). What are your thoughts? Thanks.
If I want to apply the decal to the inside of the window, and it has text...so I mirror the decal?
Yeah, in that case if you wanted it to be readable from the outside, you would mirror it.
Wow u helped me perfectly. So easy to follow thank u
Thank you, for this short and well explained video. I would like to know if I can use 3 colours on the same decal and also if I should put a laminated protection sheet before cutting the design ? Tank you ! 👍👍
Wondering if your turtle decal is still lasting after 3 years?
Thank you dearly. This is the best video on this subject.
Does the cling vinyl also require transfer paper?
Can we use removable vinyl for a car ?
Does it have to be shiny side down ?
Thank you somuch for the video. It's s beautiful design.
Great tutorial. Thank you
What is the best model machine for something like this and how big does it do.
When i added a 50L air assist to my k40 laser i switch on ,it turns on and off quickly by itself, she is no longer working, SOLUTION PLEASE 🥺
I have seen people say you need to spray the decal with a poly. Is that just for color ones or is it really not needed? I am confused as if that would mess the decal up when you remove the transfer tape
How long do the decals usually last? On average.
Thank you!! The one thing I questioned was if I needed to mirror... but by watching all the way through I see that I do not. Thank you. Xcellent tutorial 😁
Great Video! Very Helpful! Thanks Alot!
My stops firing if I dial it past 51%. Tube still illuminates, and cuts fine under 51. Can’t figure it out
How do I layer a decal for a window
Wait, you mean you don't want to talk to me for 15 minutes before you ACTUALLY start telling me how to do the tutorial? I'm freaking sorry but I'm sad lol JUST KIDDING Like all the precious comments, we appreciate your straight to the point approach. I think you should have as many likes as there are views, but you gained a follower!
Will cricut removable matte work for a car window
Your instructions are flawless! Your voice is calming! Best crafting instruction combo, ty for posting!!
I love this video other videos took so long and barley understood it. I love how it’s straight forward.
Thanks for this it was very helpful. What is the difference between the cricut maker and the cricut explore?
Spot on! I accidentally knocked the pump plug out the back somehow....
This was so helpful and straight to the point ! Thank you.
How does the process change if you choose moderately complex for say 3 colors as opposed to the simple you show in this video? Just Got my cricut explore 3 on Christmas day, so I'm thinking a car decal should be fairly simple to do as a beginner.
